Bonner is starting a third straight game at center for the Spurs on Tuesday, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
With Tiago Splitter stuck in the purgatory of strange calf injuries, the Spurs have used a litany or rotating frontcourt players as fill-in starters. Bonner is taking his turn, but the situation could change from game to game. Whether starting or coming off the bench, Bonner's minutes hover between 16-20 mpg. That's not enough run to use him in daily games or standard leagues.
Tue Nov 25 201418:35Bonner (illness) listed as probable for Wednesday's game
Bonner (illness) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game.
After missing the last three games, the Spurs will get the veteran stretch four back for Wednesday's tilt, but he is unlikely to ever be a great fantasy option.
Sun Nov 23 201419:27Bonner (illness) did not play Saturday against Nets
Bonner (illness) did not play Saturday against the Nets.
Initially considered questionable, Bonner ended up being held out of action for the third consecutive game while dealing with a stomach bug. With the Spurs off until Wednesday, Bonner will likely recover in time to face the Pacers.
Sat Nov 22 201414:37Bonner (illness) doubtful for Saturday's game against Nets
Bonner (illness) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Nets, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News reports.
He has missed two straight games with a stomach bug, and Boris Diaw and Aron Baynes figure to see most of the run alongside Tim Duncan in the frontcourt Saturday.

Bonner (illness) is not expected to play Friday against the Timberwolves, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Bonner is dealing with an ongoing stomach bug that will keep him sidelined for a second-straight game. He was playing a decent amount of minutes before this illness, but it is not a given that will continue whenever he makes his eventual return to the court.
Thu Nov 20 201417:19Bonner (illness) considered questionable for Friday's game again...
Bonner (illness) is considered questionable for Friday's game against Minnesota, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Bonner is still recovering from a stomach illness, which held him out of Wednesday's contest. He went off for 18 points (4-6 3Pt) in his last out against the Sixers on Monday, but that kind of production can't be expected on a consistent basis.
Wed Nov 19 201418:01Matt Bonner: Out Wednesday With Illness
Bonner will miss Wednesday's game with a stomach illness, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Bonner was hit by the bug at an unfortunate time, coming off a great performance Monday in which he recorded 18 points and three assists in just 20 minutes. Aron Baynes and Boris Diaw will likely see extra minutes in his absence.

Bonner scored 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-6 3P) with three assists in only 20 minutes during Monday's win over the 76ers.
The Spurs emptied the bench in the second half and 12 different San Antonio players ended up playing 10 or more minutes, otherwise Bonner might have had a bigger night. He's capable of getting hot from three point range, but don't look for him to have too many performances like this on the year.
Mon Nov 10 201422:28Bonner will start for Spurs on Monday in place of Boris Diaw
Bonner will start for the Spurs on Monday in place of Boris Diaw, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Bonner is ultimately getting the start for the injured Tiago Splitter (calf/back). However, Bonner is averaging just 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds this season in the only two games that he's seen action. Because of this, it'd be unexpected if he mounted significant production despite getting the start Monday.

Bonner did not get into Friday's game against the Suns after starting in the season opener.
Bonner played 15 minutes in Tuesday's opener against the Mavericks, but finished the game with two rebounds and no points. Austin Daye started in his place Friday, but had his own offensive problems, scoring just six points (2-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-0 FT). Jeff Ayres and Aron Baynes also both saw time off the bench.
Tue Oct 28 201418:21Bonner will get start at center Tuesday
Bonner will get the start at center Tuesday, Project Spurs' Paul Garcia reports.
Tiago Splitter is out with calf and back injuries, and does not have a timetable to return, although he isn't expected to miss significant time. Bonner likely won't play true starter's minutes Tuesday, and is a high-risk, low-reward play in daily leagues, despite his status as a starter.
Mon Jul 21 201413:15Spurs announce Matt Bonner deal
Spurs sign F/C Matt Bonner.
It's reportedly at the minimum and it would be hard to imagine him in any other uniform. Bonner has been with the Spurs since 2006, but his minutes dropped to a career-low 11.3 minutes per game last season.

Sun Jul 13 201417:24Matt Bonner agrees to re-sign with Spurs
Matt Bonner has reportedly agreed to re-sign with the Spurs on a one-year deal at the veteran's minimum.
Spurs beat writer Mike Monroe has confirmed an initial report by Ben Hunt, and fan-favorite Bonner will remain with San Antonio for at least the 2014-15 season. His deadly 3-point shooting gives Gregg Popovich a unique weapon off the bench, but Bonner doesn't have a big enough role to warrant owning in fantasy leagues.

Sat May 31 201420:22Pop lists Splitter in lineup, starts Bonner
Updating a previous item, Matt Bonner will start for the second consecutive game on Saturday.
Welcome to the Gregg Popovich lineup carousel. Tiago Splitter was listed as a starter, but Pop pulled a fast one, which is nothing new. Boris Diaw started the second half in Game 5 and figures to be a factor yet again.

Thu May 29 201420:44Matt Bonner starting in place of Splitter
Matt Bonner will start in place of Tiago Splitter on Thursday night for Game 5.
He played just 16 minutes in Games 1, 2 and 3, but then played 16 minutes in Game 4 due to garbage time. Bonner is being brought in to space the floor with his 3-point shooting. He shot 42.9 percent from deep in the regular season and the Thunder will probably just stick Kendrick Perkins on him.

Fri Apr 11 201418:53Matt Bonner out for Friday night
Matt Bonner will not play against the Suns on Friday due to food poisoning.
He probably would have received some minutes with Tim Duncan out, but the Spurs will be without the Red Rocket. Bonner has no fantasy value.

Wed Apr 2 201415:59Matt Bonner still out with calf injury
Matt Bonner (calf) will not play against the Warriors in Wednesday.
He is expected to be out for another week or so and the Spurs won't be counting on him much upon his return. Bonner is fun to watch, but he doesn't have fantasy value.

Tue Mar 25 201413:37Matt Bonner to miss two weeks w/calf strain
Matt Bonner (calf) will miss approximately two weeks with a calf strain.
An MRI confirmed a right calf strain for Bonner and the Spurs will be without the sharpshooter for the next two weeks. With only 12 games left on the Spurs' schedule, there is a chance that this is the last we've seen of him for the regular season. Bonner is only averaging 7.9 minutes per game during March, so his absence shouldn't create a void on any fantasy rosters.

Mon Mar 24 201418:59Matt Bonner won't play vs. Sixers
Matt Bonner (calf) will not play against the Sixers on Monday.
The Spurs are 20-point favorites tonight and the loss of Bonner probably won't be moving the line in Las Vegas here. He can be ignored in all leagues.
