Hill will be rested Friday against the Raptors, Mark Medina of the LA Daily News reports.
Hill and Carlos Boozer will both be held out Friday, but coach Byron Scott said both players could return Sunday versus Brooklyn or Monday against the Sixers. Both are risky daily plays, however, as the Lakers have been toying with different rotations of late.

Hill is expected to stay off the court for the next 4-5 games at the request of coach Byron Scott, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Scott wants to give other guys on the team a chance to play extended minutes and Hill is in line to stay firmly on the bench moving forward as a result. This already manifested Tuesday as Hill never left the bench as Ryan Kelly, Tarik Black, Ed Davis, and Robert Sacre saw all of the frontcourt minutes against the Thunder. Hill can be dropped across all formats with this news, although the report still hasn't been vindicated by Scott just quite yet.

Hill will lose his starting power forward position to teammate Ryan Kelly for Tuesday's game versus the Thunder.
Hill's move to the bench reeks of the Lakers ensuing they keep their high lottery pick this summer. Not only does Hill lead Los Angeles in rebounding average, but he also ranks third in points. Nonetheless, Ryan Kelly will take Hill's starting power forward position Tuesday, when Hill will likely see fewer than the 27.5 minutes he's averaged up to this point.

Hill scored 15 points (6-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals in 30 minutes during Monday's loss to the Warriors.
It's his second double-double in his last three games, but Hill's production remains inconsistent despite his insertion back into the starting lineup. He still has value in deeper leagues though, averaging 12.8 points and 8.2 boards over his last five games.
Sun Mar 8 201514:46Jordan Hill: Will Start Sunday
Hill will start in Sunday's game against the Mavericks, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Hill will take over duties at starting power forward for Carlos Boozer on Sunday. Coach Byron Scott has continually changed his starting lineup over the course of the season and it would be unwise to assume that Hill will remain as a starter through the end of the year.

Hill scored 13 points (5-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with 10 rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Heat.
Hill has been consistent offensively of late with seven consecutive games in double digit scoring. If you need scoring and rebounding from a big then give him some consideration, just realise that his efficiency has been poor, as has his defensive stats.

Hill (hip) scored 12 points (5-15 FG, 2-4 FT) and added 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 29 minutes off the bench against the Nets Friday.
Hill can be a valuable source of rebounds and points as long as he sees enough court time.

Hill (hip) practiced in full Wednesday and anticipates playing Friday, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Hill strained a hip muscle against the Knicks on Feb. 1, which kept him out of five games leading up to the All-Star break. The forward returned to the practice court Wednesday and, barring a setback, will be in the lineup Friday as the Lakers look to end a six-game skid.
Tue Feb 3 201518:07Jordan Hill: (Hip) Out Through All-Star Break
Hill (hip) will likely miss two weeks, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
He is dealing with a strained hip muscle, and this essentially means that he will be out through the All-Star break, and should be considered questionable for the Lakers' game on Feb. 20. Ryan Kelly, Robert Sacre, Ed Davis and Carlos Boozer will all see a slight bump in minutes with Hill out.

Hill (hip) is not showing improvement and will fly to Los Angeles on Wednesday to meet with team doctors, Lakers.com reporter Mike Trudell reports.
Hill sustained a hip flexor injury during Sunday's contest and was still experiencing a great deal of discomfort Monday afternoon. It's unclear how long he could remain out, but with the Lakers playing in Milwaukee on Wednesday night, it seems extremely unlikely he'll be able to make the trip. Consider Hill day-to-day until further notice, as the team is expected to issue a follow-up report following Wednesday's visit.
Sun Feb 1 201517:36Jordan Hill: Suffers Hip Flexor Injury Sunday
Hill suffered a hip flexor injury during Sunday's game against the Knicks and could be out for up to a couple of weeks, or just a couple of days, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hill will be evaluated further Monday and will almost certainly come away with a more definite timetable afterwards. He should be considered day-to-day for the time being while Tarik Black sees extra time on the court.
Sun Feb 1 201514:39Jordan Hill: (Quadriceps) Leaves Sunday's Game
Hill will not return to Sunday's game against the Knicks after suffering a rectus femorus strain in his right quad, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell reports.
Hill should be considered day-to-day moving forward until further news is released on his status. Looking ahead, the Lakers won't play the Bucks until Wednesday.

Hill had a huge game Thursday, putting up 26 points (11-22 FG, 4-6 FT) and 12 boards in 41 minutes. He also added three assists, two blocks, and a steal in the contest.
Hill has been a solid value play of late, averaging 13.8 points and 9.6 rebounds in 29 minutes over his last five games. With the coach Byron Scott looking to tinker with the rotation after Kobe Bryant's season-ending surgery, Hill could become a more featured part of the Lakers' game plan moving forward.

Hill played 23 minutes in the Lakers' new-look lineup Friday, scoring 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-2 FT) with five rebounds and one assist.
Hill appears to be the only player left immune to Byron Scott's benching protocol, having started all games he's played in this season. He has out up double-digit scoring in his last 10 games, including three double-doubles in that span and should remain a solid standard league from here on out.

Hill (knee) played once again despite injuring his knee Tuesday, picking up his 13th double-double of the season in a loss to the Jazz Friday with 11 rebounds and 16 points (8-15 FG, 0-1 FT).
Hill seems to be fine after playing in two games since Tuesday and finishing those games with a combined 36 points. Hill's numbers are up in January from December, averaging 12.5 points on 52.4 percent shooting, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his eight previous games this month.
Fri Jan 16 201515:05Hill (knee) considered probable to play against Jazz on Friday
Hill (knee) is considered probable to play against the Jazz on Friday, the Deseret News reports.
Hill being listed on the Lakers' injury report is probably just for precautionary reasons. He hasn't missed any time off the court with his troublesome knee and it would be surprising if he sat out all of a sudden against the Jazz.

Hill scored 20 points (10-14 FG) Thursday in a loss to the Cavaliers, his sixth straight game scoring 11 or more points, and grabbed six boards, blocked a shot and had three steals.
There were reports that Hill may have hyperextended his knee Tuesday, but he started Thursday's game and appeared to be fine. Hill regularly sees 20 minutes of action each game for the Lakers, and in January, has been a solid scorer at center. He's good to use in all formats.

Hill (knee) said he's fine and will be able to play Thursday against the Cavaliers.
Hill was thought to have hyperextended his knee in Tuesday's loss to Miami and was scheduled to undergo an MRI, but he said Wednesday that it feels much better, and he doesn't anticipate missing any time.
Wed Jan 14 201508:13Hill may have hyperextended knee Tuesday against Heat
Hill may have hyperextended his knee Tuesday against the Heat, head coach Byron Scott said after the loss, but has yet to have an MRI, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Hill left Tuesday's game late, but not before scoring 12 points and grabbing six rebounds. If Hill misses extended time, it would be a huge blow to the Lakers. He came into Tuesday's game averaging a career-high 28.3 minutes, 12.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists. Should Hill be out, Ryan Kelly could start at power forward with former Rocket Tarik Black taking over duties at center.

Hill scored 23 points (10-15 FG, 3-4 FT) with 14 rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes during Monday's loss to the Trail Blazers.
It's the first time in six games that Hill has played 30 or more minutes, and he responded with a huge game. His impressive November is a distant memory, but if he's finally gotten his legs back after shaking off the respiratory illness that derailed him at the tail end of 2014 he may be able to return to form.
