Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Miami Heat. Trent attempted to warm up for this contest, but the swelling in his left ankle continues to bother him. That means, Trent will miss his fifth straight game, but seems closer to a return. Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby should see all the minutes they can handle. That being said, both should be strong options for DFS contests given the fact they will likely play close to 40 minutes.

Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson will move into the starting five for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Kyle Lowry (personal) will be unavailable for this contest, but hopefully it'll only be a one-game absence. His absence should mean more minutes for Robinson, Strus, and possibly Caleb Martin. Robinson is a shaky fantasy option due to his inconsistent shooting. He could be a possible streaming option due to the fact he's in the starting five. Although, Strus is the most consistent option between the two players. Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo will be asked to run the offense without Lowry available.

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (thumb) will make his return to the court on Monday versus the Toronto Raptors. He has been sidelined since November 29 due to a right thumb injury. It's uncertain if the Heat plan to ease Adebayo back into action. Regardless, fantasy managers in season long formats can go ahead and start Adebayo. Omer Yurtseven has been fantastic in the absence of Adebayo. Although, his fantasy value is expected to take a significant hit with Adebayo returning. Possibly, Yurtseven carves a role out for himself, but it's unlikely to be anything worth holding him in most fantasy formats.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Carmelo Anthony (back) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. He has missed each of the last two games due to lower back tightness. The Lakers might take the cautious approach here and let Anthony have another night off to fully recover. Talen Horton-Tucker, and Trevor Ariza would be asked to pick up the slack, assuming Anthony is out. Horton-Tucker is the better option between the two, but neither have much streaming appeal.

Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Miami Heat. He was rested on Saturday, but Barnes should be back in action here. His return should push Yuta Watanabe to the second unit. Also, Precious Achiuwa won't have as big of a role with Barnes back in the rotation. Achiuwa should still have enough playing time to be able to produce fantasy value. Fantasy managers should check and make sure they have Barnes back in their lineups for Monday.

Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (thumb) is unlikely to return to the team during their four-game road trip. Grant was assigned to the Pistons G-League affiliate on Monday. He will continue to rehab there after undergoing right thumb surgery earlier in the season. Once Grant returns, Hamidou Diallo is expected to shift back to the second unit. Also, Saddiq Bey will be looking at a reduced role, while Trey Lyles could fall out of the rotation completely. Both Diallo and Bey should still hold fantasy value once Grant returns, but they should see a decrease in usage.

Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. He tweaked his ankle on Sunday and was unable to return to action. The Suns are going to take the cautious approach here and let Ayton rest. His next chance to get on the court will be Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks. In the meantime, JaVale McGee should get a spot start on Monday. He'll be worth looking at as a streaming option or low cost DFS choice. Jalen Smith is also someone worth monitoring with the Suns shorthanded for this game.

Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (ankle) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. He has missed each of the last three games due to a left ankle sprain. The Suns are expected to ease him back into his role. That being said, it's unlikely that Johnson has much fantasy appeal during his first game back. Landry Shamet should take a hit in playing time and won't be much of an option with Johnson returning. Possibly, Cameron Payne loses a few minutes, but he should still have a significant role in the rotation.

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo (thumb) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Adebayo has been targeting Monday as his return date after a lengthy absence. In fact, Adebayo has been sidelined since November 29 due to a thumb injury. Fantasy managers should expect Adebayo to be on a minutes limit during his first game back. Also, his return will likely end the fantasy appeal of Omer Yurtseven. He has been fantastic in the absence of Adebayo. Hopefully, there will still be a role for Yurtseven, but it's unlikely to be enough to hold fantasy value.

Portland Trail Blazers forward Norman Powell has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Orlando Magic. He has cleared from the league's health and safety protocols. However, Powell needs to regain his conditioning, so he'll sit out at least one more game. That means that Ben McLemore and Nassir Little should carry plenty of streaming appeal into Monday's contest. McLemore has played surprisingly well lately and deserves a look with the Blazers short-handed right now. He could be an interesting streaming choice and DFS option for Monday's slate.

Utah Jazz center Hassan Whiteside will not suit up for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He has been sidelined due January 10 due to the league's health and safety protocols. It's uncertain when he'll get back on the court, but he didn't have a huge role in the rotation anyway. Robert Gobert is back and should have a full workload against the Lakers. Udoka Azubuike should pick up more playing time, but isn't someone worth monitoring in fantasy formats. Gobert could have a slight boost in playing time with Whiteside remaining sidelined here.

Milwaukee Bucks guard George Hill will move into the starting five for Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. He's not exactly the most attractive DFS option, but is worth a look on Monday. The Bucks don't have a ton of options, so Hill should play minutes into the 30s versus Atlanta. He could be a possible deep league streaming choice or a cheap DFS option for Monday's slate. There isn't a ton of upside, but Hill is going to have an extended role.

Atlanta Hawks forward Onyeka Okongwu will move into the starting five for Monday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Clint Capela (ankle) remains sidelined, so Okongwu gets a shot in the starting lineup. He should be worth snagging in most formats as a streaming option right now. Okongwu will play roughly 30 minutes or so with the Hawks being shorthanded. There isn't a ton of upside with Okongwu, but he's worth a look as a possible streaming choice.

New York Knicks forward Cam Reddish (ankle) won't play on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. The 22-year-old has yet to make an appearance for his new team after being acquired from the Atlanta Hawks during the week. Additionally, head coach Tom Thibodeau recently indicated that Reddish might be out for "a while" as he continues to deal with a sprained right ankle. Nonetheless, while the former Duke Blue Devil hasn't been consistent this year, he's still worth a roster spot, at least until his role is revealed.

New York Knicks center Nerlens Noel (knee) won't play during Monday's matinee against the visiting Hornets. Noel didn't suit up on Saturday because of left knee soreness, and he has now only played in one game since December 23. Mitchell Robinson should receive some additional minutes in the middle. However, Taj Gibson may continue see the floor more than usual versus Charlotte and until Noel can return to action.

Charlotte Hornets forward Kelly Oubre Jr. remains listed as out ahead of Monday's matchup in New York. The veteran has missed his previous three games while adhering to the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. His next chance to make it back will come on Wednesday in Boston. However, in the meantime, Cody Martin could see an uptick in production from off the bench until Oubre can make it back.

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart won't play on Monday against New Orleans after entering COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The veteran has also been dealing with a thigh issue, and he is now in line to miss his fourth consecutive outing. As a result, Dennis Schroder will likely take his place once again, with the journeyman averaging 18.6 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.8 rebounds across 22 starts this year. Schroder should warrant consideration in all fantasy formats, although his shoddy shooting percentages can negatively affect category managers.

Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III (shoulder) won't play on Sunday against the Rockets. He is dealing with soreness in his right shoulder, an unfortunate development considering how well he's played as of late. Luckily, the team will get Richaun Holmes back after he missed over a month due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, while Chimezie Metu should continue to receive a hearty workload.

Sacramento Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton entered the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols on Sunday. He won't play against the Rockets, and a few more absences are likely as well. The 21-year-old is averaging 13.7 points, 7.1 assists and 1.7 steals this season, so replacing him won't be easy. However, De'Aaron Fox will likely be the first in line to see an increase in usage, while Terence Davis and Davion Mitchell may see some extra minutes until Haliburton makes it back.
