However, he should get some meaningful work versus Houston, especially with Marvin Bagley III (shoulder) and Tristan Thompson (illness) both out.

Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball (knee) won't play on Monday during the Martin Luther King Jr. Day matinee game against the Grizzlies. The 24-year-old is currently battling left knee soreness, an injury that forced him to miss Saturday's matchup versus the Boston Celtics. With Zach LaVine (knee) out as well, Coby White will likely fill the void, with the former Tar Heel averaging 15 points and 4.3 assists while shooting nearly 44 percent from deep throughout seven starts during the 2021-22 campaign. He is expected to see a more significant workload for at least a few games, so fantasy managers in need should pick him up immediately.

Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine (knee) underwent an MRI on Saturday morning. Fortunately, the results were encouraging, showing no signs of structural damage. The veteran injured his left knee during the first quarter of Friday's blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors and will be re-evaluated in about a week. While LaVine isn't expected to miss any significant time, it's a tough blow considering Chicago has also been without Alex Caruso (foot), Derrick Jones Jr. (knee), and Javonte Green (groin). Forward/center Marquese Chriss signed a two-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks. The veteran has appeared in 13 games for the team already this season, averaging 6.5 points and 3.7 rebounds throughout 11.3 minutes of work. However, unless Kristaps Porzingis or Maxi Kleber were to succumb to an injury at some point, Chriss doesn't possess much fantasy value. To make room, the Mavs waived center Willie Cauley-Stein, who had been out since late November because of personal issues.

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant (knee) will miss at least a month. The former MVP sustained a sprained left MCL during Saturday's win over New Orleans, and he will now be on the shelf for four-to-six weeks. The 33-year-old has played well this year, averaging 29.3 points, 7.4 boards, and 5.8 assists. However, his workload has been a concern, so he may see a slight reduction in minutes upon his return in an attempt to preserve him for the postseason. Nonetheless, with Joe Harris (ankle) out as well, James Harden and Kyrie Irving will likely be the top producers moving ahead, although guys like Bruce Brown, DeAndre' Bembry, and Kessler Edwards could also benefit.

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert will return for Sunday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Gobert has missed each of the last four games while following the league's health and safety protocols. He has finally cleared protocols and can return to action against Nikola Jokic on Sunday. This is huge for the Jazz who desperately needed Gobert back in the lineup. Eric Paschall put together 18 points in 33 minutes during their last game. However, his short lived fantasy value will end with Gobert back in the lineup on Sunday.

Atlanta Hawks forward Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the New York Knicks. This is not a good sign with the Hawks already shorthanded for Saturday's game. Kevin Huerter, Danilo Gallinari (Achilles), and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot will all see increased roles with Bogdanovic out. Gallinari is a little banged up, but has the most upside out of the three players. He could be worth looking at as a streaming option with the Hawks shorthanded for Saturday's contest.

San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White will be available for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He has cleared the league's health and safety protocols, so he'll be available on Saturday. Although, head coach Gregg Popovich mentioned White could come off the bench and have a minutes limit. That being said, he might not be the best option for Saturday's slate. Joshua Primo will lose most of his fantasy value with White back on the court. He can be dropped in most fantasy formats now that White is healthy again.

Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the New York Knicks. As expected, Capela will miss his fourth game in a row due to an ankle issue. Onyeka Okongwu should move into the starting five again with Capela sidelined. He could have some deep league appeal, but hasn't done much with his extended role. John Collins will see a bump in usage and could be worth a look in DFS contests with Capela unable to play.

Brooklyn Nets center LaMarcus Aldridge (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Nicolas Claxton (hamstring) is also sidelined, so the Nets are going to be shorthanded in the front court. Aldridge will miss his fifth straight game here and can be dropped in most fantasy formats at this point. Day'Ron Sharpe and Blake Griffin should be asked to pick up the slack. Sharpe is the better fantasy option between the two right now. He could be worth a look as a streaming option with the Nets being shorthanded.

New York Knicks guard Kemba Walker (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. Walker is currently not with the organization due to his left knee soreness. Although, it's a one-game road trip, so possibly Walker returns next game. His next chance to play would be Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. Until then, Alec Burks and Evan Fournier will be asked to play more minutes. Fournier has been inconsistent this season, but has picked up the slack lately. Possibly, Fournier has some streaming appeal without Walker on the court here.

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving (personal) won't be available for Saturday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Irving is ineligible to play home games due to his vaccination status. There are rumors that Irving could become a full-time player soon, but who knows when that will happen. Until then, James Harden and Kevin Durant will run the show while Irving is sidelined. Also, Patty Mills should see a boost in value with Irving unavailable for Saturday. Both Harden and Durant should be popular DFS options for Saturday's slate.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Matisse Thybulle (shoulder) and forward Danny Green (hip) have been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. Thybulle took a fall during Friday's game and was forced out of that contest. As a result, Thybulle will miss at least Saturday's game. Green has been dealing with lingering hip pain for quite some time. He played 10 minutes on Wednesday and sat out on Friday. The absence of these two players should mean a spike in usage for Seth Curry. He is looking like a strong streaming option for Saturday.

Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Boston Celtics. This is a tough blow with the Bulls already without Zach LaVine (knee) and Alex Caruso (protocols) on Saturday. Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White will see significant playing time with Ball out now. White is the much better fantasy option between the two. Last game, White scored 20 points in 29 minutes and that was with Ball playing as well. Dosunmu finished with zero points in 32 minutes of action. That being said, White is a strong streaming option for Saturday and should be worth a look as a cheap DFS option for Saturday's slate.

Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba (toe) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. There's a good chance that Bamba misses his third straight game due to a right toe sprain. His absence would likely mean another start for Robin Lopez. It's worth noting that Wendell Carter Jr. (hamstring) has already been ruled out for this contest. That means, Chuma Okeke and Moritz Wagner should see more minutes and chances with the ball. Last game, Wagner scored 26 points in 28 minutes. Fantasy managers might want to ride the hot hand and stream Wagner here. Although, Okeke is probably the safest fantasy option out of the three players.

Toronto Raptors forward Khem Birch (nose) is not available for Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Birch suffered a nose fracture during Friday's contest. His timetable is unknown, but the organization reportedly has taken care of the issue. In the meantime, Chris Boucher should be asked to pick up the slack. He has looked fantastic lately and is a must-have option right now while he's on fire. Fantasy managers should check the waiver wire and see if Boucher is available. He should play a bigger role with Birch likely sidelined multiple games.

Portland Trail Blazers forward Larry Nance Jr. (knee) will remain out for Saturday's game against the Washington Wizards. He was expected to be re-evaluated, but it appears the team isn't ready to clear him to play yet. Possibly, something changes closer to game time, but fantasy managers should expect to be without Nance for at least one more game. In the meantime, Robert Covington and Nassir Little will be asked to pick up the slack. Covington is the much better option between the two players. He is looking like a strong streaming option and has been a consistent DFS option lately.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (elbow) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. The Sixers will already be without three players, so losing Embiid is a tough blow. Andre Drummond would move into the starting five, assuming Embiid cannot go. Drummond would have decent streaming appeal and be a possible low cost DFS option for Saturday's slate. Fantasy managers will likely have to check back after shootaround for more information.

Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. This marks the fourth game in a row that Trent has missed due to a left ankle issue. Svi Mykhailiuk should see increased playing time without Trent in the lineup. Although, he hasn't done much on the court lately. Fred VanVleet is likely to benefit the most with Trent sidelined. He'll be a popular DFS option with the Raptors banged up on Saturday.

Toronto Raptors guard/forward Scottie Barnes (knee) has been upgraded to doubtful for Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. He was originally ruled out, but head coach Nick Nurse said it's possible that Barnes plays here. Barnes returned on Friday and finished with eight points and seven rebounds in 33 minutes. Clearly, Barnes isn't over his knee issue, so the Raptors might decide to play it safe here. His next chance to play would be Monday, assuming he sits here. Yuta Watanabe could return to the starting five and have some streaming appeal for Saturday's slate.
