Tue Dec 27 202217:27Precious Achiuwa Upgraded To Doubtful On Tuesday
Toronto Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa (ankle) is taking a small step toward returning to the court as he was upgraded from out to doubtful ahead of their home contest against the Los Angeles Clippers. Fantasy managers shouldn't jump at playing him or even rostering him just yet, but he's progressing in the right direction. The 23-year-old hasn't played since November 9th, so there's likely to be a good bit of rust when he finally returns. Juancho Hernangomez and Thaddeus Young will continue to get opportunities as he's sidelined.

Fri Dec 16 202215:24Precious Achiuwa May Not Return Until January
Toronto Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa (ankle) has been sidelined since early November with a severe ankle sprain. Earlier this week, Achiuwa was getting some light practice in on the court and Nick Nurse said that we may not see him until the turn of the new year. He's still favoring his ankle and doesn't look that close to returning just yet. Once he's back, Thaddeus Young and Juancho Hernangomez will take big hits to their fantasy value moving forward.

Thu Nov 10 202219:16Precious Achiuwa Ruled Out Indefinitely
Toronto Raptors center Precious Achiuwa (ankle) has been ruled out indefinitely. He injured his right ankle in Wednesday's win over Houston and an MRI has revealed that Achiuwa has partially torn ligaments in his ankle. This injury is probably as nasty as it sounds, and the 23-year-old even has to wear a walking boot for 10 days. With Pascal Siakam (groin) already unavailable and ruled out for multiple weeks, it will be up to Christian Koloko and Chris Boucher to carry the Raptors frontcourt. Thaddeus Young has re-entered the frame as well lately and could get a bigger role going forward, while Otto Porter Jr. also has a chance to pick up extra minutes. He logged a season-high 23 minutes Wednesday after Achiuwa left and nearly posted a double-double.

Thu Nov 10 202214:47Precious Achiuwa Dealing With A Sprained Ankle
Toronto Raptors center Precious Achiuwa left Wednesday's win over Houston with an ankle sprain and is undergoing testing to determine the severity of his injury. He exited in the fourth quarter, finishing with four points, six rebounds and one block in 12 minutes. The Raptors are already without Pascal Siakam (groin), so the team's frontcourt will look very thin if Achiuwa is forced to miss time. We should know more about his injury ahead of Friday's contest versus the Thunder. Toronto's injuries have already paved the way for Christian Koloko to enter the starting lineup, and Chris Boucher is in line for extra minutes as well if Achiuwa is unavailable.

Mon Oct 24 202222:02Precious Achiuwa Grabs 22 Rebounds Off The Bench
Toronto Raptors center Precious Achiuwa was a monster of the glass in the win over the Miami Heat Monday night. Achiuwa grabbed 22 rebounds to go along with 10 points and a block in 33 minutes off the bench. Achiuwa became the first player in Raptors team history to record 20+ rebounds when coming off the bench. Scottie Barnes (ankle) was a game-time call before being ruled out which allowed Achiuwa to gain starter's minutes. As long as Barnes is out, Achiuwa should be on fantasy rosters given his rebounding ability, but he does not offer much more in the stat sheet.

Fri Apr 8 202218:45Precious Achiuwa To Play Against Rockets
Toronto Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa (knee) will suit up for Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. Achiuwa is coming off an excellent 20-point game in 40 minutes during the victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Raptors will be without OG Anunoby (quad) and Fred VanVleet (knee) for Friday's contest. That should mean bigger roles for Achiuwa and Chris Boucher. Fantasy managers should consider Achiuwa worth a look as a streaming option with the Raptors shorthanded on Friday.

Tue Dec 28 202118:18Precious Achiuwa, Khem Birch Unavailable For Tuesday’s Game
Toronto Raptors centers Precious Achiuwaand Khem Birchhave been ruled out for Tuesday's contest against Philadelphia. The duo's absence leaves the Raptors thin in the frontcourt vs. Joel Embiid, a daunting proposition when considering the four-time All-Star's 25.5 points-per-game average this season. Whereas Achiuwa remains in the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, a return may not be far off for Birch, who entered the day questionable to play for the first time since Nov. 21. Pascal Siakam and Chris Boucher stand to see the vast majority of run at the five, roles they figure to reprise as long as Achiuwa and Birch remain out of the mix.

Tue Dec 21 202120:06Scottie Barnes, Precious Achiuwa Enter COVID-19 Protocols
Toronto Raptors power forward Scottie Barnes and center Precious Achiuwa have entered the league's health and safety protocols, ruling them out indefinitely. Toronto is the latest team to deal with an outbreak of positive COVID-19 tests on their roster, as the team has had two games cancelled within the past week. Currently, the Raptors are set to play the Bulls on Wednesday, with Chris Boucher likely to see a significant uptick in usage with both Barnes and Achiuwa unavailable. Should the game take place, all active members of the Toronto front court will be up for DFS consideration, with OG Anunoby possessing the highest ceiling.

Wed Dec 8 202119:00Precious Achiuwa Won't Play On Wednesday
Toronto Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was a late addition to the injury report as he continues dealing with a lingering shoulder issue. The Raptors are going to take the cautious approach and hold out Achiuwa for Wednesday's contest. Chris Boucher should see more run and could be a low cost DFS option for Wednesday's slate.

Mon Dec 6 202108:23Precious Achiuwa Gets Back Into Double-Double Column
Toronto Raptors forward/center Precious Achiuwa ended a 16-game double-double drought on Sunday, going for 10 points and 14 rebounds in a 102-90 win over the Wizards. He also had a pair of assists and one steal, while shooting 5-for-10 from the field and committing two turnovers in 31 minutes. Achiuwa hadn't managed a double-double since putting together a three-game double-double streak in the first few games of the season. Can he now start another streak? Wednesday's matchup against the Thunder is a juicy one. OKC boasts a poor 48.9 rebounding rate and their recent games include a 152-79 hammering from Memphis.

Wed Nov 24 202119:29Precious Achiuwa, Yuta Watanabe Will Suit Up Wednesday
Toronto Raptors center Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) and shooting guard/power forward Yuta Watanabe (calf) have been cleared to play in Wednesday's game against Memphis. Achiuwa could see a slight minutes bump due to the absence of Khem Birch (knee), although the 22-year-old's role has remained steady across his first 15 games. Watanabe will be making his season debut when he checks into the game for Toronto, so he's unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact out of the gate. The 27-year-old appeared in 50 games with the Raptors last season, but he averaged just 14.4 minutes on a nightly basis bench, primarily filling in as a lightly utilized bench piece.

Wed Nov 17 202120:24Precious Achiuwa, Chris Boucher Questionable For Thursday
Toronto Raptors center Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) and power forward Chris Boucher (back) have both been deemed questionable to suit up for Thursday's game against the Jazz. Achiuwa has missed each of Toronto's past two contests due to the ailment, while Boucher has missed one contest in his own right. Without either available Monday, Pascal Siakam and Khem Birch held down increased frontcourt duties, while Scottie Barnes led the team in rebounds (eight). Achiuwa has been a formidable rebounding presence when healthy, having secured at least eight boards in nine of his 13 games. Boucher's minutes have fluctuated too drastically in the early portion of the season for him to be a season-long commodity in any-sized format. Check back prior to tip-off for the final word on both men.

Mon Nov 15 202120:58Precious Achiuwa Will Miss Monday’s Contest
Toronto Raptors center Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Portland as he continues to battle a shoulder ailment. Achiuwa's absence will be his second in a row, paving the way for Pascal Siakam to draw another start as the team's center. Chris Boucher and Khem Birch figure to also have sizable roles within the second unit, but Siakam was the only Raptor to record more than six boards in Toronto's first game without Achiuwa. While the offensive contributions of the 22-year-old remain erratic, his rebounding (8.7 per game) gives him a consistent season-long floor when healthy. His next chance to take the floor comes Thursday vs. the Jazz.

Sat Nov 13 202119:10Precious Achiuwa Ruled Out For Saturday
Toronto Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The Raptors will be without Fred VanVleet (groin) and Achiuwa for this game. That means, Chris Boucher should be more involved in the rotation. Although, he'll only be a low-end fantasy option, assuming Pascal Siakam is playing. Fantasy managers should double check Siakam's status before tip-off.

Fri Nov 12 202121:03Precious Achiuwa, Khem Birch Questionable To Play Saturday
Toronto Raptors center Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) and Khem Birch (knee) have both been deemed questionable to suit up for Saturday's game against Detroit. Achiuwa has not yet missed a game this season, but he is coming off a 1-for-10 shooting performance in his latest outing. Having logged at least seven rebounds in 10 of his 13 games, Achiuwa retains some solid season-long appeal. Birch has been down for each of Toronto's past three games as he battles swelling in his right knee. Should either man ultimately be ruled out, Pascal Siakam and Chris Boucher would be asked to take on an elevated role at the five.

Sat Oct 23 202113:56Precious Achiuwa Posts Double-Double In Victory
Toronto Raptors forward/center Precious Achiuwa logged his first double-double of the season as he finished with 15 points, 15 rebounds, two steals and one made three-pointer on 6-for-13 shooting from the field in Friday's 115-83 victory against the Celtics. Achiuwa made an impact on both the defensive and offensive end of the floor, providing the Raptors with good minutes at the center position and helping the team win its first game of the season. Achiuwa can be rostered across standard fantasy formats while Pascal Siakam (shoulder) makes his way back from offseason surgery.

Fri Oct 22 202118:29Precious Achiuwa Starting Again On Friday
Toronto Raptors forward/center Precious Achiuwa will start during Friday's matchup against the Celtics. Achiuwa was in the starting rotation during the team's opener against the Wizards on Wednesday. However, foul trouble was a theme, and he also logged only 19 minutes of work but still managed to finish with seven boards, six points, and a steal. The 22-year-old could be in store for more time on the floor against Boston, although that still isn't a guarantee, making him a risky option for fantasy purposes.

Fri Jan 29 202102:20'We have to figure this out': Heat say turnaround will come
MIAMI (AP) — As if losing the NBA Finals isn’t bad enough, there now seems to be a curse that stretches into the following season. The Miami Heat aren’t believing that quite yet — even after a disastrous start to the 2020-21 campaign. The reigning Eastern Conference champions are 6-12, matching the franchise’s worst 18-game start since opening 4-14 in 2007-08. The roster has been decimated by injuries and virus-related issues, and the current losing streak reached five games after a 108-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in a game where Miami led by 18 points early but wound up trailing by as many as 19. “Heat Nation, we are going to figure this out,” All-Star center Bam Adebayo said. “Just bear with us. We are going to figure this out. I can promise them that we are going to figure this out. I know that they’re tired of seeing us lose. We’re tired of losing. We have to figure this out.” The next chance to get things right comes Saturday when Miami hosts Sacramento. The year after losing... [More]
