Sat Dec 30 202313:14Immanuel Quickley On The Move To Toronto
The Raptors acquired guard Immanuel Quickley (along with RJ Barrett) from the Knicks in exchange for OG Anunoby, Malachi Flynn, and Precious Achiuwa. Quickley, the No. 25 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, is averaging a career-high 15.0 points this season. Unfortunately, he had issues remaining a consistent focal point on the offensive end for the Knicks. At any rate, a move to the Raptors could be what Quickley needs to reach the next step in his development, regardless of whether he starts or continues to operate from the bench. That said, fantasy managers shouldn't sell low on him because there's an excellent chance he'll be more productive in Toronto.

Wed Dec 13 202320:43Immanuel Quickley Available On Wednesday
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (knee) is available for Wednesday's game against the Utah Jazz. After sitting out Monday, Quickly is back in the lineup for the first game of this road trip. His return should mean that both Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride should take a hit in value. Grimes could still have decent value as he has been playing well off the bench. Fantasy managers should make sure they get Quickley back in their lineups.

Mon Dec 11 202319:14Immanuel Quickley Ruled Out On Monday
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (knee) has been downgraded from questionable to out on Monday night. The backup guard is experiencing inflammation in his right knee so the team will take a cautious approach. The good thing is that Jalen Brunson (ankle) has been upgraded to active, so they won't be without both point guards. In Quickley's place, Josh Hart and Quentin Grimes will likely see more opportunities with the bench squad. There's a chance that Miles McBride even makes an appearance but he's not as reliable as a streaming option.

Mon Dec 11 202315:52Immanuel Quickley Experiencing Knee Inflammation
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (knee) is questionable on Monday against the Toronto Raptors. Right knee inflammation has jeopardized Quickley's availability, and it could cost him his first game of the campaign. The 24-year-old combo guard has provided a consistent scoring pop in 24.2 minutes per game through 21 appearances off New York's bench this year, but he isn't offering much outside of his 15.0 points, 2.0 treys, and 90.0% clip from the free-throw line from a fantasy standpoint. With starter Jalen Brunson (ankle) also questionable with an ankle sprain, Donte DiVincenzo could be an attractive streaming option if big minutes fall into his lap against Toronto on Monday. Quickley would be a must-play across all formats if he is active and Brunson is not, however, as IQ averaged 25.8 points, 6.4 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.6 triples in 39.2 minutes covering 14 games without Brunson in 2022-23.

Mon Oct 23 202321:39Immanuel Quickley Doesn't Sign Extension
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley has not signed an extension with the organization ahead of Monday's deadline. That means, the 24-year-old will become a restricted free agent after the 2023 season. The former 25th overall pick is entering his fourth season with the Knicks. He took a major step forward last season as he finished second in Sixth Man of the Year voting. Quickley averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists across 28.9 minutes per game in 81 games last season. He has become a key piece in this rotation, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of value he has on the open market. The Knicks still have a chance to retain him, but Quickley could earn himself a nice payday with another strong season.

Sat Oct 21 202306:18Immanuel Quickley Back In Full Practice
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (undisclosed) came through a full practice on Friday, and it looks like he will have no issues suiting up for the season opener next week against Boston. The 24-year-old missed the team's final two preseason contests because he was "nicked up a little bit," according to Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau. Quickley was a Sixth Man of the Year candidate last season, and he should have more room to improve after recording 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.0 steals across 2022-23.

Wed Sep 13 202309:32Immanuel Quickley Has Yet To Have Serious Extension Talks With Knicks
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley has yet to have serious extension talks with the team, a source has told Sean Deveney of Heavy.com. The 24-year-old is on the verge of finishing off his rookie deal and will be a restricted free agent next summer if he can't agree on an extension with the Knicks. Quickley has developed extremely well with three years in New York, and an NBA executive has told Deveney that he could be seeking a similar deal to the one Jalen Brunson received from the Knicks -- four years and $104 million. Quickley, who averaged a 15-4-3 line last season, has been a real bargain for the Knicks so far and his 2023-24 salary will be only around $4.2 million.

Thu May 25 202320:01Immanuel Quickley Could Get Significant Extension
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley was a significant part of the rotation throughout this past season. The 23-year-old averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 81 games. He was a finalist for Sixth Man of the Year, which should help him in contract discussions. Quickley is still under contract for one more season, but it wouldn't be shocking if the Knicks begin discussing an extension soon. Quickley has the potential to be a legitimate starter in the league. He averaged 22.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in 21 games as a starter. Recent rumors have Quickley getting around $80-100 million over the course of a four-year deal. That sounds reasonable given his potential and what Quickley has done this past season.

Thu May 11 202321:12Immanuel Quickley Doubtful For Friday
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Miami Heat. He has missed each of the last two games while dealing with a sprained left ankle. As a result, Quentin Grimes has played 90 total minutes over the last two games. He finished with eight points, four rebounds, and five assists during Wednesday's victory. The expectation is that Grimes is going to continue playing heavy minutes as long as Quickley is out. The Knicks are likely going to wait until closer to game-time before making a final decision on his status.

Tue May 9 202319:21Immanuel Quickley Doubtful For Wednesday
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat. Quickley missed Game 4 with an ankle sprain and was seen leaving the arena in a walking boot. Quickley will likely miss his second straight game and may be done for the series. Quentin Grimes got the start while Josh Hart played 22 minutes off the bench. Grimes and Hart will likely see a similar split Wednesday while Jalen Brunson should play the majority of the point guard minutes.

Mon May 8 202319:23Immanuel Quickley Downgraded To Out
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Monday's Game 4 against the Miami Heat. He was forced to exit early during their last game and was seen wearing a boot prior to Game 4. The Knicks are considering Quickley day-to-day, so possibly he's able to suit up for Game 5. Miles McBride will likely be asked to help fill in, but Jalen Brunson should play 40 minutes or more in this contest.

Sun May 7 202319:40Immanuel Quickley Doubtful For Game 4
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (ankle) has been listed as doubtful to play Monday versus the Miami Heat. Quickley turned his ankle late in the fourth quarter of Saturday's loss and will likely miss at least one game due to the injury. With Quickley likely out, Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride should see some extra minutes while Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart see the bulk of the guard minutes as per usual.

Thu Apr 6 202310:48Time To Hang It Up: Five NBA Players That Should Retire After The Season
Basketball is a fast-paced game. While the court's dimensions are smaller than baseball and football fields, there is no room to relax because players must exert effort on offense and defense. NBA's Advanced Stats reveal that LaMelo Ball trumps other ballers in the distance covered, averaging 2.77 miles per game. Fred VanVleet is not far behind at 2.76.Therefore, basketball players must be in good condition to render significant minutes. Conversely, injuries are also a dime a dozen because of the extensive regular season. Failing to stay in shape could mean reduced playing time or an abrupt end to their career. But at some point, Father Time wins, no matter how much a player wants to delay the inevitable. These players have rendered extensive NBA careers but are far from the peak of their capabilities. Sadly, retirement after the 2022-23 season is a strong possibility because they are not steady contributors anymore or hardly step into the court. However, their younger teammates should pick their brains and learn from their limitless wisdom.

Thaddeus Young

Young won the NBA Hustle Award during the 2020-21 season thanks to his accumulated hustle stats like taking screens and diving for loose balls. But that recognition is a nice consolation for a man who nearly averaged a double-double (15.1 points, nine rebounds) for the 2015-16 season with the Brooklyn Nets.https://twitter.com/ClutchPointsApp/status/1612227070108516355The 16-year veteran has been touted as a do-it-all player on both ends. Unfortunately, his production has significantly dropped in his second season with the Toronto Raptors. He is averaging only 4.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game through March 11. He hasn't played since, even if he is on the active roster, because of ... [More]

On Sunday, Quickley also benefited from Jalen Brunson's (foot) absence, which gave him his 11th start of the season. He has averaged 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists as a starter across the campaign.

Tue Jan 24 202319:20Immanuel Quickley In, Evan Fournier Out Tuesday
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (knee) will play Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Evan Fournier (personal), on the other hand, will not play due to the birth of his child. Fournier had been getting increased minutes due to Quickley's absence, but now Quickley should reclaim his normal role as the first man off the bench. Fournier will likely be phased out of the rotation while Quickley is healthy.

Mon Jan 23 202322:01Immanuel Quickley Listed As Questionable Against Cavaliers
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (knee) is listed as questionable to play Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Quickley was held out last game with knee soreness and is in danger of missing another contest. Evan Fournier and Miles McBride were the main benefactors to Quickley's absence, but neither post much fantasy upside. The Knicks should release more news on Quickley's status closer to game-time on Tuesday

Sun Jan 22 202313:47Immanuel Quickley Dealing With Knee Soreness

Fantasy managers likely won't know more about Quickley's status until closer to opening tip. However, if he doesn't play, Miles McBride could see more action, although coach Tom Thibodeau might lean on his starting unit even more than usual.
