Wed Dec 21 202214:47Killian Hayes Questionable On Wednesday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's meeting with Philadelphia. A troublesome left knee could force the 21-year-old to sit out his first contest of the season. Hayes has been very inconsistent in recent weeks, but he's done well overall this month, averaging close to 12 points per game with 3.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists. Cory Joseph and Alec Burks are candidates to replace Hayes in the starting lineup on Wednesday, with the latter definitely having more fantasy appeal. Burks has been a very solid contributor off the bench with 13.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

Thu Dec 15 202211:08Killian Hayes Leads Pistons To Overtime Win
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes continued to flash some great playmaking ability as he helped the team grab an overtime win on the road against the Charlotte Hornets. The former lottery pick was able to finish the game with 25 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists on 9-for-19 shooting and 5-for-11 from beyond the arc. Hayes has had some really good games since he entered the starting lineup for Cade Cunningham. His inconsistency makes him hard to trust in most fantasy leagues though. He becomes a bigger value play in DFS rather than regular formats.

Fri Nov 25 202220:50Killian Hayes Cleared To Play
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (calf) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns. The young guard should have plenty of chances with the Pistons extremely shorthanded. He'll draw the start alongside Rodney McGruder, Isaiah Livers, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Marvin Bagley III on Friday. Hayes has put together some strong games this month, so he could be worth a look as a possible streaming option. Although, he's probably more of a deep league option because he has been inconsistent at times.

Thu Nov 24 202216:07Killian Hayes Dealing With A Calf Problem
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes exited Wednesday's win over Utah with a calf injury. He was able to log 17 minutes and finished with two points, three rebounds and three assists. The 21-year-old has had a good run in the team lately, so the injury comes at a very bad time for Hayes. His status for Friday's game is currently unknown. Cory Joseph looks set to enter the starting lineup if Hayes isn't able to play, and there will be extra minutes available for Jaden Ivey and Alec Burks. The latter is nicely gaining momentum after missing the start of the season with an injury. Burks has averaged 16.6 points per game in his first seven games of the season, shooting over 44 percent from the field.

Sat Apr 2 202212:06Killian Hayes Records Career-High 26-Point Effort In Victory
Detroit Pistons point guard Killian Hayes delivered arguably the best all-around performance of his professional career during Friday's win over Oklahoma City, dropping a career-best 26 points across 40 minutes. The Pistons thrust elevated offensive duties to Hayes and he responded by shooting 12-for-25 overall, in addition to adding eight assists, seven rebounds, five steals, and two blocks to his breakout outing. Field goal percentage has been a bugaboo for Hayes across his first two seasons in the NBA, but elevated volume has proven to be a solid helper for the 20-year-old. It's unclear what role Hayes will play Sunday against the Pacers, but he figures to continue seeing a sizable minutes allotment, which bodes well for his DFS appeal.

Thu Mar 17 202221:21Killian Hayes Won't Return On Thursday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (head) was forced to exit early during Thursday's game against the Orlando Magic. He suffered a head contusion and finished with five assists in 11 minutes of action. It's uncertain if this injury is going to force him to miss more time than just this game. Saben Lee should benefit with Hayes off the court. He's worth a look as a low-end streaming option, assuming Hayes does miss time.

Tue Mar 15 202215:46Killian Hayes Returning On Tuesday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (groin) has been cleared for Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat. He has missed each of the last three games, but will return at a good time. Cade Cunningham (illness) has been added to the injury report and is questionable to play on Tuesday. That being said, Hayes is likely to slide into the starting five, assuming Cunningham sits out. Cory Joseph and Saben Lee would see increased roles, but Hayes is the best fantasy option between the three of them.

Mon Mar 14 202218:28Killian Hayes Likely To Return To Action For Tuesday’s Game
Detroit Pistons point guard Killian Hayes (groin) has been listed as probable to play in Tuesday's contest vs. the Heat. Hayes has missed the Pistons past three outings due to a right abductor contusion, opening up minutes off the bench for Saben Lee. Prior to getting banged up, Hayes was beginning to see more time with Detroit's second unit. He has continued to scuffle from the field in his second professional season, shooting just 36 percent overall. Hayes' return may take a chip out of Cade Cunningham's ceiling, but the 20-year-old isn't a fantasy relevant cog during the final month of the year.

Sun Mar 13 202214:51Killian Hayes Won't Play Versus Clippers
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. This is a shame with Hamidou Diallo (finer), Rodney McGruder (hamstring) already ruled out for this contest. That means, Saben Lee and Cory Joseph should see a boost in playing time. Neither is a great fantasy option, but could have some low-end appeal.

Fri Mar 11 202210:58Killian Hayes, Frank Jackson Will Miss Friday’s Contest
Detroit Pistons point guard Killian Hayes (groin) and shooting guard Frank Jackson (back) have been ruled out for Friday's game vs. Boston. Hayes will miss a second straight outing due to a right adductor contusion that he sustained during Monday's outing, having recently enjoyed an elevated role among the second unit with Jackson unavailable. A bilateral lumbar spasm has sidelined Jackson for 10 of Detroit's last 11 outings, an indication that he will be down for the foreseeable future as he continues to get treatment. Without the duo, Saben Lee should get all of the second-unit run that he can handle, while Cade Cunningham and Cory Joseph are likely to see a handful of additional minutes and ball-handling opportunities as well.

Wed Mar 9 202215:04Killian Hayes Tagged As Questionable For Wednesday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (hip) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. He tweaked his hip during Monday's contest, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him sit out here. Hayes finished with 13 points, six assists, and four rebounds in 31 minutes. He has been inconsistent throughout the season, which makes him a tough fantasy option. Cory Joseph could have some low-end streaming appeal, assuming Hayes sits. Also, Cade Cunningham is likely to play more minutes as well, which should increase his usage.

Sun Jan 23 202218:59Killian Hayes Available Versus Nuggets
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (hip) will be available for Sunday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Head coach Dwane Casey mentioned that Hayes is available, but will have his minutes monitored. That means, Cory Joseph might not completely lose his value yet. Casey didn't give an exact number of minutes for Hayes, but Joseph should still have value for at least one more game.

Wed Jan 19 202218:28Killian Hayes Doubtful For Wednesday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (hip) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. He suffered a right hip contusion during Tuesday's contest. He was only able to play nine minutes in that contest before exiting and not returning. It sounds like the Pistons are likely to take the cautious approach here. Cory Joseph and Saben Lee would be asked to play more minutes, assuming Hayes is out. However, neither are anything more than desperation options in deep leagues. Although, Cade Cunningham should have more chances with the ball without Hayes on the court.

Thu Dec 23 202117:52Isaiah Stewart, Killian Hayes Land In COVID-19 Protocols
Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart and point guard Killian Hayes headline a group of players from the organization that have entered the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Even with the news coming down shortly before Thursday's tip-off against Miami, there has been little reason to believe that the game is in jeopardy. For Stewart, it will mark his first absence since a two-game suspension back in November, while Hayes was set to rejoin the team from a one-game stint on the sidelines. The Pistons backcourt will be massively thin, with Cory Joseph set to take on an expanded role, making him a significant DFS upside play. Trey Lyles is the likeliest candidate to garner additional frontcourt run, although Luka Garza could see an uptick in usage as well.

Wed Dec 22 202120:39Killian Hayes Will Return To Action For Thursday’s Game
Detroit Pistons point guard Killian Hayes (illness) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Thursday's contest vs. Miami. Hayes missed one outing due to an illness, but he has recovered and will likely take on a larger role immediately with fellow backcourt mate Cade Cunningham (health and safety protocols) unavailable. Hayes remains a tricky fantasy asset due to his shooting difficulties, as his overall percentage has dipped to 34% in his second professional season. Compounding his issues for Thursday, the Heat defense has far and away allowed the fewest DFS points per game to opposing PGs this season, making Hayes an even riskier option than usual.

Tue Dec 21 202119:07Killian Hayes Ruled Out For Tuesday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (thumb) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks. He continues to deal with a lingering thumb issue and will sit out on Tuesday. Frank Jackson, Cory Joseph, and Saben Lee will all see increased playing time and usage without Hayes on the court. Jackson is the best streaming option out of the three. Cade Cunningham will continue being the primary playmaker and should be a solid DFS option for Tuesday's slate.

Tue Dec 21 202118:03Killian Hayes Uncertain For Tuesday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (illness) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks. He is dealing with a non-COVID related illness, but might be able to suit up here. The team will likely have him go through pregame warmups before making a final decision. Frank Jackson, Cory Joseph and Saben Lee would all benefit in the absence of Hayes. Jackson is probably the best option out of the three. However, he won't be anything more than a deep league option.

Tue Dec 14 202119:31Killian Hayes Practices On Tuesday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (thumb) was able to practice on Tuesday. That is good news after he aggravated his thumb issue during Sunday's game. He missed four games in November due to a sprained left thumb. Right now, Hayes seems to be trending in the right direction since he practiced on Tuesday. He should be considered questionable for their next contest. Hayes isn't a must-have fantasy option, but could be worth holding in category leagues.

Sun Nov 28 202120:26Killian Hayes Will Play Sunday
Detroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes (thumb) will play during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He has missed each of the last four games due to a lingering thumb issue. Cory Joseph and Frank Jackson should lose minutes and touches with Hayes returning for the return. Hayes doesn't have a ton of streaming appeal and is more of a deep league option. There is no indication that Hayes will be limited, so fantasy managers should expect him to resume his normal role.

Fri Nov 5 202118:26Killian Hayes Ruled Out For Friday’s Game
Detroit Pistons point guard Killian Hayes (thumb) will be sidelined for Friday's contest against Brooklyn due to a sprained left thumb. Hayes, who had started each of Detroit's first eight games, has scuffled mightily from the field to begin the season, shooting just 31 percent overall. In his absence, Cory Joseph, Cade Cunningham, and Saben Lee all stand to see elevated roles, although how the minutes are divvied up will be less clear. Detroit clearly thinks highly of Hayes, but he has not yet played his way into fantasy relevance. His next chance to return comes Wednesday vs. the Rockets.
