Valanciunas left Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers after landing awkwardly on a dunk attempt. Valanciunas was originally ruled out for a knee injury, but after a clean MRI came back, he is reportedly only dealing with soreness in his quadriceps. This is very good news for New Orleans and fantasy managers everywhere as Valanciunas appears to have avoided a major injury. Larry Nance Jr. and Jaxson Hayes should see increased value while Valanciunas sits.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (leg) is expected to miss "multiple weeks," according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. Curry has already missed nearly a month this season because of a shoulder injury. However, he'll now be out for the foreseeable future, opening the door for Jordan Poole to slide over to the point guard spot. At the same time, Donte DiVincenzo, who's averaged 10.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and shot 40.8% from deep in 12 starts this season, is the favorite to move into the starting lineup. Ty Jerome could also draw some interest from those in deeper fantasy formats, although DiVincenzo is the better fantasy option.

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving is being traded to the Mavericks, per The Athletic's Shams Charania. In exchange, Dallas is sending Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and multiple draft picks. The move comes after the 30-year-old requested a trade ahead of the February 9 deadline. Irving, who's averaged 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in 40 games this season, will now join forces with Luka Doncic, arguably assembling the league's most potent backcourt. However, Irving may see a dip in production, at least on the scoring end, although his assist numbers may improve.

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Nets intend to sit Kyrie Irving until he's traded ahead of the February 9 deadline. The multi-time All-Star formally asked to be moved on Friday while advising the club that he will not re-sign with the team this offseason. Irving has played well this season, averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in 40 games. The Lakers remain a favorite to acquire his services, reportedly in a deal surrounding Russell Westbrook. However, teams like Phoenix and Dallas may also be in the running. Either way, there should be more on this situation in the coming days, although Irving may have already suited up for the final time in Brooklyn.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded his third triple-double of the season on Saturday against Miami, dominating the matchup with 35 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists. He guided the team to a 123-115 victory, shooting 13-for-19 from the field and 9-for-16 at the charity stripe. In 36 minutes on the court, Giannis also managed to register one steal and one block with three turnovers. The Greek Freak is in the middle of a spectacular run, averaging 39.4 points, 14.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in seven games since returning to the lineup.

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry exited Saturday's win over Dallas with an apparent knee injury and is set to undergo an MRI scan after the initial X-rays came back negative. He was hurt in the third quarter and finished the game with 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists in 26 minutes. The Warriors will be back in action Monday against OKC, so Curry has very little time to recover, even if it's not a serious injury. Jordan Poole should hop back into the starting unit if Curry is out, while the whole squad is set for a usage bump with their leader missing.

Thompson and Draymond Green (calf) missed Thursday's loss to the Denver Nuggets, allowing Kevon Looney and Jonathan Kuminga to enter the starting lineup. Kuminga finished that one with 17 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes and should be classified as a must-start if Thompson and Green aren't available on Saturday night. As far as Looney is concerned, he'll grab plenty of rebounds, although his upside on the scoring end is limited.

If Green misses another one, Kuminga should continue to benefit, although his ceiling will decrease if Klay Thompson (illness) suits up.

The veteran scorer is now averaging 25.7 points per game across the last three matchups. Houston has lost multiple key guys to injuries and Gordon has stepped up to the plate to lead the way. However, Vincent is questionable, so if he doesn't suit up either, Tyler Herro should take over the ball-handling duties. At the same time, Max Strus and Haywood Highsmith could get most of the minutes from the bench, although the former has a higher upside for fantasy managers.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's meeting in New Orleans. The 38-year-old remains on the injury report because of left ankle soreness, although this is nothing new. However, with James needing only 63 points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record, he may sit this one out in hopes of breaking the record in Los Angeles against OKC or Milwaukee.

Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) is expected to play on Saturday versus the Pelicans. The 29-year-old will likely remain a fixture on the league's official injury report moving ahead after missing over a month because of a foot ailment. However, he should be good to go, so fantasy managers can plan on having him in the starting lineup. Davis has played well since returning, recently amassing a 31-point, 14-rebound double-double on Thursday in Indiana.
