Splitter averaged 8.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 steals in 20 minutes per game through 52 games in the 2014-15 season.
Splitter, who is signed through 2016-17, battled calf injuries all season. He has only played over 60 games in a regular season once in his five-year career, staying healthy enough to play in 81 games in 2012-13, which was conveniently a contract year for the vet. Despite his injuries, Splitter remains a valuable rotation piece in coach Gregg Popovich's system. This season, Splitter shot 56 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free-throw line. Though his rebounding numbers dropped from last season and his scoring has stayed relatively static, Splitter should return as the presumed starting center unless they sign someone else in the offseason.

Splitter could see increased minutes in Game 3 on Friday, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Splitter, who started and played 19 minutes in Game 2, has been battling a nagging calf injury for much of the season. However, he's nearing full health, and with Aron Baynes (ankle) doubtful to play Friday, Splitter could be thrust into a heavy workload. However, Baynes did not play in Game 2 on Wednesday, and it was Boris Diaw, not Splitter, who saw big minutes (37).

Splitter (calf) may play additional minutes Wednesday versus the Clippers in Los Angeles, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Splitter missed the final six games of the regular season due to a calf concern, but the rest didn't equate to a fruitful outing in Sunday's postseason opener, as he managed four points (2-5 FG, 0-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 10 minutes. Even though he made a locker-room visit at one point, Splitter has been forecast additional minutes by coach Gregg Popovich, if the big man can handle the workload.

Splitter was considered a game-time decision heading into Game 1, but ultimately was able to go. Still, it was pretty evident that he was hampered by his ailment, and it's unclear whether he'll play Game 2 on Wednesday. For now, consider him a game-time decision.
