Sat Dec 22 201213:10Jerry Stackhouse practices, likely to return
Jerry Stackhouse (knee) practiced fully Saturday and appears likely to return Sunday against the 76ers.
Stackhouse hasn't played since banging knees with Jason Kidd at the end of a game on Dec. 11. Look for the Nets' rotation to return to normal once he's back, which means even more limited minutes for MarShon Brooks. Still, Stackhouse isn't much of a fantasy option at this point and should be left on the waiver wire.

Wed Dec 19 201217:44Jerry Stackhouse won't play against Knicks
Jerry Stackhouse (knee) will miss Wednesday's game against the Knicks.
Stackhouse was hurt when he banged knees with Jason Kidd at the end of the Nets' last brush with the Knicks. The injury isn't serious and Stackhouse told beat writer Tim Bontemps he's just working his way back into shape. MarShon Brooks will likely get a few more minutes off the bench while Stackhouse remains sidelined.

Tue Dec 18 201210:49Jerry Stackhouse won't play on Tuesday
Jerry Stackhouse (knee) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Jazz.
Stackhouse was questionable coming into this one, but the Nets won't push the issue with the veteran. MarShon Brooks should see a few extra minutes off the bench.

Mon Dec 17 201213:52Jerry Stackhouse questionable for Tuesday
Jerry Stackhouse (knee) didn't practice on Monday and is questionable for Tuesday's game.
The injury isn't serious, and even if Stackhouse doesn't play on Tuesday, he should be back before too much longer. His absence opens up some time for MarShon Brooks.

Sat Dec 15 201210:20Jerry Stackhouse hurt knee against Knicks
Jerry Stackhouse said his right knee became sore after banging into Knicks PG Jason Kidd at the end of Tuesday's game.
Stackhouse said he doesn't consider the injury serious, but he's likely to miss Saturday's game against Chicago. The Nets will re-evaluate him after that, but Stackhouse's inconsistent output means he should be on the waiver wire in most leagues. The only benefit to Stack's time on the sidelines could be additional minutes for MarShon Brooks, who had six points and two rebounds Friday night.

Fri Dec 14 201210:37Jerry Stackhouse out with sore knee Friday
Jerry Stackhouse will not play on Friday due to a sore right knee.
Sounds about right for a 38-year-old veteran who has as much experience as Stackhouse. His absence should open up some more minutes for MarShon Brooks and Keith Bogans.

Sat Dec 8 201205:27Stackhouse scores five points vs. GSW
Jerry Stackhouse scored five points on Friday against the Warriors.
Stackhouse puts up numbers every once in a while but one look at his game log will show that he cannot be trusted in fantasy leagues.

Sun Dec 2 201210:11Jerry Stackhouse scores 11 points off bench
Jerry Stackhouse scored 11 points in 24 minutes on Saturday, his third consecutive game in double-digits.
Stackhouse scored 12 points during his entire seven-game career with the Heat, but he's found new life off Brooklyn's bench (to the chagrin of anyone who drafted MarShon Brooks, who was the only Nets player with a DNP-CD).

Wed Nov 28 201223:24Jerry Stackhouse hits five treys vs. Boston
Jerry Stackhouse helped propel the Nets to a win off the bench on Wednesday with 17 points, three steals and five 3-pointers in 22 minutes against the Celtics.
This was Stack's second game in a row in the teens and tonight was his season high. He is very unlikely to keep up this type of production and we would leave him on the wire in just about every league.

Tue Nov 27 201200:45Stackhouse scores 14 points off the bench
Jerry Stackhouse scored 14 points and hit four 3-point shots on Monday against the Knicks.
Stack does this every once in a while but is nowhere near consistent for use in fantasy leagues. He hit 4-of-6 shots tonight (4-of-5 3PTs) with one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes off the bench.

Sat Nov 17 201210:13Jerry Stackhouse seeing role expand with Nets
With Gerald Wallace (ankle) still sidelined, Jerry Stackhouse's minutes have increased in each of the last four games.
Wallace was originally expected to be a player-coach as he transitioned into the next phase of his basketball career. However, with Wallace and MarShon Brooks (ankle) both sidelined by injuries lately, the veteran swingman has seen his role increase. Still, Wallace should return soon to dash any hopes of a Stack revival.

Thu Nov 8 201212:41Stackhouse (hamstring) still out indefinitely
Jerry Stackhouse (hamstring) has yet to appear in a game for the Nets this season.
Stackhouse was originally expected to return in late October. He's been on the Nets bench during games and it's possible he's just being held out as a healthy DNP-CD -- either way, he's not a fantasy asset.

Thu Oct 18 201210:44Jerry Stackhouse out Thursday with sore hammy
Jerry Stackhouse will not play on Thursday due to a sore hamstring and is expected to be out for 7-10 days.
Stackhouse has now dealt with a sore leg, knee and hamstring in the preseason, and it's a reminder that this isn't Stack's first rodeo. He's not on the fantasy radar in any format.

Fri Oct 12 201212:23Jerry Stackhouse not practicing on Friday
Jerry Stackhouse (knee) is not practicing on Friday.
MarShon Brooks (foot) is also sitting out, as expected. After Stackhouse received acupuncture on Wednesday, his knee is being described as "sore" on Friday. Locked into a player-coach role, Stackhouse is not expected to have a role in the rotation.

Wed Oct 10 201215:47Stackhouse skips practice for acupuncture
Jerry Stackhouse was excused from Wednesday's practice for acupuncture treatment on his right leg.
Stackhouse is on the roster as much as a mentor and coach than as a player, and the 37-year-old's occasional absence shouldn't raise any eyebrows.

Tue Oct 2 201209:37Jerry Stackhouse to be player-coach for Nets
Jerry Stackhouse will assume the role of a player/coach this season.
It wouldn't surprise us if this is one of the only blurbs Stackhouse gets all season, and it's a testament to his career that he's still in the league. Needless to say, the veteran has no fantasy value.

Mon Jul 16 201217:17Nets officially ink Stackhouse for one year
The Nets officially signed Jerry Stackhouse on Monday to a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.
Stack continues to haunt NBA benches, and was a ghost of himself off the Hawks' bench last season, shooting 37 percent from the field in 30 appearances. Don't expect much more in Brooklyn.

Wed Jul 11 201210:47Nets, Stackhouse agree to one-year contract
The Nets and Jerry Stackhouse have agreed on a one-year contract worth $1.3 million.
This will be Stack's 14th NBA season, and possibly his last, and we're not expecting anything from him off the Nets' bench. He appeared in 30 games for the Hawks last season, playing nine minutes per game, but shot just 37.0 percent from the field.
