Watson averaged 10.0 points (43% FG, 40% 3PT, 83% FT), 1.2 three-pointers, 3.6 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in 25 minutes per game for 57 regular season games during the 2014-15 season. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Watson was at his best in the 2014-15 season while filling in for the injured George Hill at point guard, ranking as the 107th player in eight-category leagues during Hill's absence. Once Hill returned from his injury, though, Watson's minutes went down and his value declined drastically in standard leagues. The 31-year-old guard enters free agency this summer, and Pacers President Larry Bird said it's unlikely the team resigns him.

Pacers president Larry Bird said he doesn't anticipate re-signing Watson next season, Candace Buckner of the Indy Star reports.
Watson's two-year deal is up this summer, and Bird was frank in telling reporters that he doesn't expect to bring the veteran back. The 30-year-old averaged 10.0 points and 3.6 assists in 24.9 minutes and made 21 starts while George Hill battled early-season injuries. While Watson has proven to be a reliable backup point guard, he apparently doesn't fit the mold of what Indiana is looking for going forward.

Watson (elbow) is officially questionable for Tuesday's game against the Wizards, but hasn't shown any signs of improvement and remains unlikely to play this week, Pacers play-by-play announcer Scott Agness reports.
Watson has been sidelined each of the last four games due to a lingering elbow issue, and it appears more than likely that will extend through the end of the regular season. While he's officially listed as questionable, the report indicates he's more likely doubtful. If he can't go this week, C.J. Miles, George Hill, Donald Sloan and Rodney Stuckey are all candidates to see time at the point.

Watson (elbow) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game at New York, FOX Sports Indiana reports.

Watson scored 23 points for the second time in three games Thursday. He finished the loss to the Bucks with seven rebounds, seven assists and two rebounds in 32 minutes.
While Watson has had a good week, his March has been inconsistent. March 21, he shot 0-for-6 against the Nets, and prior to Monday's 23-point game, he had four straight games of single-digit points.

Watson saw increased playing time Monday with Rodney Stuckey (calf) out of action. Expect Watson to see increased playing time as long as Stuckey is out, but he shouldn't be counted on to score this much even with the extra minutes.
Sat Mar 7 201510:14Watson logged 24 minutes off bench against Bulls on Friday
Watson logged 24 minutes off the bench against the Bulls on Friday. He finished with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
Watson was dealing with an elbow injury ahead of Friday's game but seems to have overcome the ailment after his successful outing against the Bulls. He's currently seeing limited time off the bench in relief of George Hill and there's no reason to believe that will change before the season comes to an end.

Watson scored 22 points (7-11 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), to go with one rebound, three assists, and a block in 25 minutes on Sunday.
Watson exploded off the bench for 22 points in only 25 minutes on Sunday. He really impressed in this game, but his minutes are going to be limited as George Hill begins to get more run for the Pacers. If Hill were to miss time Watson would be a guy to monitor for daily games, but he doesn't have the long term upside to pick up in most leagues.

Watson scored 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt) with three rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes off the bench Wednesday.
George Hill's return to the starting lineup bumped Watson back to the second unit, but Watson seemed very comfortable in the role. He likely won't see enough minutes going forward to be useful in most leagues, however, so unless Hill re-injures himself you can safely drop Watson from your roster.
