Sun Mar 16 201409:16James Anderson (thigh) not expected for Mon
James Anderson (bruised thigh) left Saturday's game with 7:14 to go, and did not return. Coach Brett Brown does not expect Anderson to travel with the team for Monday's game vs. the Pacers.
This opens the door up for Tony Wroten to get a healthy heaping of minutes in Monday's game vs. Indiana, and he makes for a decent plug-and-play option. Just know that Indiana's league leading defense is not the best team to go up against from a fantasy perspective.

Sat Mar 15 201422:32James Anderson misses 9-of-11 shots
James Anderson hit just 2-of-11 shots for four points in Saturday's loss.
He was 0-for-6 from downtown and just couldn't get it going tonight. He hit five 3-pointers for 17 points on Wednesday, and has been a fairly reliable, low-end, fantasy shooting guard for most of the season. Tony Wroten played well off the bench with 13 points and a full stat line on 6-of-11 shooting. Anderson should bounce back in his next one.

Wed Mar 12 201423:01James Anderson hits five threes, scores 17
James Anderson hit five 3-point shots in the Sixers' 115-98 home loss to the Kings on Wednesday, finishing with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting, two rebounds and three assists.
Anderson projected as a late-round value following the trade deadline and has exceeded expectations by climbing into middle round production since then. Not only should he be owned in all standard formats, but he should be in lineups until further notice.

Mon Mar 10 201423:35Anderson scores 17 points with three treys
James Anderson scored 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds, three assists and a steal in Monday's loss to the Knicks.
Anderson has been a late-round value since the trade deadline and has actually eclipsed the top-100 over the last two weeks. Behind Thad Young and Michael Carter-Williams he is the clear third option for fantasy owners in Philly.

Sat Mar 8 201422:30James Anderson comes through with 16
James Anderson started and hit 5-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and a block in 33 minutes on Saturday.
Anderson has scored between 13 and 20 points in three of his last four games, but had two points in the other one. He's a shaky fantasy starter, but is averaging 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 4.0 3-pointers over his last two games, so maybe he's ready to go on a hot streak for the hapless Sixers, who have now lost 16 straight games.

Wed Mar 5 201400:28James Anderson hits six triples vs. OKC
James Anderson knocked down six 3-pointers against the Thunder on Tuesday, finishing with 20 points, two boards, one assist, two steals and two turnovers in 27 minutes.
He was really the only bright spot in the starting lineup and the Sixers had no chance tonight. Anderson has made 2.6 triples per game over his last eight and seems to be locked in to playing around 30 minutes per night for a team that needs all the help they can get. He's worth owning in standard leagues for his 3-point production.

Mon Feb 24 201422:54James Anderson scores 13 points vs. MIL
James Anderson scored 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds, five assists and one steal over 26 minutes on Monday against the Bucks.
Anderson represents a safe low-end value in standard leagues with a hint of mid-round upside if everything goes well.

Fri Feb 21 201422:32James Anderson can't get it going Friday
James Anderson was quiet in Friday's loss to the Mavericks with nine points, two boards, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.
He wasn't very active tonight and the Sixers gave majority of their shots to Thaddeus Young, Michael Carter-Williams and Tony Wroten. Anderson has been more of a catch-and-shoot guy and should have better nights than this one. He's worth a long look in standard leagues.

Thu Feb 20 201417:03James Anderson likely getting more shots
James Anderson is likely to get more shots following Thursday's trade deadline.
When he's not playing next to Evan Turner, he's been a much better player. With Turner, Anderson has a usage rate of 14.1 percent and made 44.9 percent from the field vs. a usage of 19.1 percent and a field goal percentage of 46.3 without him. Turner led the team in total shot attempts and coach Brett Brown will have to dial up some new ways to score. Anderson offers some decent upside for treys, steals and a solid field goal percentage, so he's worth a look in standard leagues.

Thu Feb 13 201402:11James Anderson scores 15 w/ 5 treys
James Anderson hit 5-of-10 shots (five 3-pointers) and had 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and four steals in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz.
Anderson is always a little hit-or-miss when you're thinking about throwing him into your lineup, but had a great night in this one. Anderson scored just two points in each of his previous two games, so it makes sense that he was on a lot of benches (and waiver wires) tonight. But he's still starting for the Sixers and might be ready to get hot again, meaning he should at least be on your watch list, as usual.

Fri Feb 7 201423:07Anderson scores 12, hits three treys
James Anderson logged 27 minutes and hit 4-of-6 shots (including three treys) in Friday's loss to the Lakers.
Anderson also chipped in with six rebounds and two assists and hangs onto his low-level appeal in standard leagues in the process. Tony Wroten (16 points) didn't do much besides score and coughed up the ball four times in just 18 minutes, so Anderson still has the upper hand there and also on Hollis Thompson (21 minutes), who barely cracked the stat sheet.

Wed Feb 5 201422:27James Anderson plays through back injury
James Anderson left Wednesday's game with a back contusion but was able to return, finishing with 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 4-of-5 shooting.
He played just 18 minutes due to the injury, but it sounds like he will be available to play on Friday against the Lakers.

Wed Feb 5 201420:14James Anderson suffers back injury on Wed.
James Anderson suffered a mid-back contusion on Wednesday and is questionable to return.
He had a lower back injury earlier this season, but the injury would appear to be unrelated. Anderson has improved his stats now that he's back in the starting lineup, but he's still not worth owning in most leagues.

Sat Feb 1 201422:48James Anderson scores 12 in loss to Pistons
James Anderson hit 5-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 12 points, six rebounds and two steals in Saturday's loss.
He has been a bit hit or miss lately, but played well with Michael Carter-Williams out with a shoulder injury. He's a borderline fantasy player in standard leagues right now, as his inconsistency keeps him from being an everyday starter.

Sat Feb 1 201400:33Anderson goes cold against the Hawks
James Anderson went scoreless over 29 minutes in Friday's blowout loss to the Hawks, and added just four rebounds and one steal in the effort.
Anderson missed all six of his field goal attempts and this takes the late-round value he has accumulated over the past two weeks and knocks it down a peg. The Sixers were talking about shaking the starting lineup up and Anderson profiles as a guy that could take a hit, though Hollis Thompson, Tony Wroten and virtually everybody else was just as bad tonight.

Sat Jan 25 201422:30James Anderson scores 19 vs. Thunder
James Anderson made another start and hit 7-of-16 shots for 19 points, five rebounds, three steals, a block and a 3-pointer.
That's a nice all-around line from Anderson, who has been hit-or-miss lately. His game log shows that he just can't put together solid back-to-back outings, as he's scored 19, 8, 18, 8, 11, 4, 6 and 17 points in each of his last eight games. He's still worth a look in many leagues, but he went three games without a steal before tonight, has blocked just two shots in his last nine games, and hit just four 3-pointers in his last 10 games.

Fri Jan 24 201421:58James Anderson scores eight points in 29 mins
James Anderson played 29 minutes against the Raptors on Friday, scoring eight points with one board, five assists and one block.
Hollis Thompson played great tonight and it cost some playing time for Anderson. Anderson beat out Thompson for the starting job earlier this month after Thompson was starting for a while, but the two might cancel each other out a bit. Anderson is worth a look as a plug-and-play with Tony Wroten (ankle) expected to miss Saturday.

Thu Jan 23 201400:08James Anderson scores 18 points in win
James Anderson started at shooting guard again and hit 8-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 18 points, seven rebounds and three assists on Wednesday.
Anderson had scored eight or fewer points in three of his last four games, but caught fire tonight and played well in his uncharacteristic 37 minutes. Maybe this is a sign he'll get it going, but owners will have to weigh options carefully before starting him next week for four games.

Mon Jan 20 201419:44James Anderson gets into some foul trouble
James Anderson played 18 minutes against the Wizards on Monday due to foul trouble, scoring eight points with five boards and two turnovers.
He had a lower back issue on Saturday and it's unclear if it affected his play today. Anderson has been the starter for the last six games and shows no signs of giving up that role. He was playing well before today, but it hasn't translated to fantasy value thanks to averages of just 9.2 points, 4.8 boards, 1.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 triples. He can be left on the wire in most leagues.

Sat Jan 18 201423:25James Anderson has a lower back issue
James Anderson suffered a lower back injury in the second half of Saturday's game against the Bulls.
The Sixers already lost Tony Wroten to an ankle sprain, so this would trouble. Anderson only went to the bench and was grabbing his back as he sat down. It was easy to see he was in pain and the team might have to rest him. The Sixers tend not to play their players at less than 100 percent, so we'll keep an eye on this one. Anderson finished with 11 points, seven boards, one steal and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.
