Tue Sep 4 201209:03Harrellson's tryout with Heat is for one week
Josh Harrellson is being brought into Miami for a "one-week tryout , with no contract guarantee in place," a source tells the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Harrellson's tweet on Monday sent some into speculating rampantly about whether or not he was set to sign with the Heat, but Jorts will simply be brought in to try to make the roster. He's got a decent shot of earning a training camp invite given how long the team has been sniffing around him.

Mon Sep 3 201213:56Harrellson to attend Heat pre-camp workout
Updating a previous item, Josh Harrellson will be joining the Het's "pre-camp" in an effort to earn an invite to training camp.
It's a bit surprising that Jorts wasn't able to land a guaranteed offer, but he fits a need in Miami as a sharpshooting big man off the bench. If signed, he'd offer no consistent fantasy value but his towel waving could rival that of the departed Ronny Turiaf.

Mon Sep 3 201212:10Josh Harrellson could be joining Heat soon?
Josh Harrellson tweeted on Monday that he's "heading to Miami for hopefully the next 9 months."
Normally we wouldn't read the tea leaves to this extent, but Jorts was just in Miami to be worked out by the Heat and the team remains in search of a big man. With no reported interest in guys like Andray Blatche or Darko Milicic, we could very well see Harrellson wind up with the Heat.

Wed Aug 29 201209:07T-Wolves not interested in Josh Harrellson
The Timberwolves are not interested in unrestricted FA Josh Harrellson.
Minnesota wants someone with more length than Harrellson offers. If the team is going to bring in a big man who can shoot it, it would make sense for the Timberwolves to simply retain Anthony Tolliver.

Fri Aug 24 201208:58Harrellson one of 'several' Heat workouts
Josh Harrellson is one of "several big men the Heat have recently worked out," a source tells the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
We noted on Thursday that the Heat have also taken a look at Chris Andersen, and it sounds like those two are the front-runners at the current time to land a roster spot. Beat writer Ira Winderman also lists Andray Blatche and Darko Milicic as options, though there has been nothing to suggest Miami is seriously targeting either player.

Thu Aug 23 201212:25Josh Harrellson working out for Heat Thursday
Unrestricted FA Josh Harrellson is working out for the Heat on Thursday, a source tells ESPN's Tom Haberstroh.
Miami is still looking for some depth in the size department and it's pretty interesting that they're working out Harrellson and have yet to make a serious inquiry about Andray Blatche's availability. Regardless, Harrellson would fit well with the Heat, a team that could use a big man who can hit the 3-point shot and stretch the floor. Harrellson made 33.9 percent of 3-pointers during his rookie season last year.

Wed Aug 15 201215:52Rockets waive C Josh Harrellson
Rockets waive C Josh Harrellson.
Harrellson was traded to the Rockets as part of the deal that sent Marcus Camby to the Knicks back in July. The Rockets needed to make a cut after they signed Carlos Delfino and Harrellson was the unfortunate casualty. He's a three-point shooting big man that may draw interest on the free agent market from a team looking for that skill set.

Mon Jul 9 201222:13Harrellson traded to the Rockets on Monday
Josh Harrellson was traded to the Rockets in the Marcus Camby deal on Monday.
Jorts was a sneaky fantasy play every once in a while last year, and as a 3-point shooting big man he'll warrant some attention if he can luck his way into some minutes. We've yet to see a report that the Rockets are interested in keeping him around.

Fri Apr 27 201203:57Harrellson scores 18 points vs. Bobcats
Josh Harrellson started and scored 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with nine rebounds and two blocks against the worst team in NBA history in the Bobcats on Thursday.
We're poking fun at the Bobcats, but Harrellson is always a candidate for some points, boards, and threes if he's getting heavy minutes. If that happens during the playoffs, the Knicks won't be playing for long. Mike Bibby started for Baron Davis and scored three points with 12 assists, Iman Shumpert was quiet all night until exploding late for 12 points, Landry Fields posted six points, five boards, and seven assists, and Steve Novak hit three treys for nine points with six rebounds.

Thu Mar 8 201201:28Josh Harrellson scores eight in start
Josh Harrellson started in place of Tyson Chandler (hamstring) Wednesday and had eight points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block as the Knicks lost to the Spurs.
Chandler could miss another game or two with the injury, so owners in real deep leagues might want to give Harrellson a short-term look if the waiver wire is bare.

Sun Jan 22 201200:48Josh Harrellson (wrist) out six weeks
Knicks center Josh Harrellson will miss approximately six weeks after fracturing his wrist during Saturday's game.
Harrellson proved his worth in a few spot-starts when Amare Stoudemire was injured, and losing him is another blow for a reeling Knicks team. He wasn't playing enough for his absence to have significant fantasy ramifications.

Fri Jan 13 201200:12Harrellson scores eight points off the bench
Josh Harrellson scored eight points off the bench on Thursday, hitting 3-of-5 shots from the field (including two threes) with seven rebounds, one assist, and one block in 28 minutes.
Harrellson will be worth a look if Carmelo Anthony (ankle, wrist) misses time, as his fantasy friendly game provides threes, rebounds, and blocks.

Thu Jan 12 201203:57Harrellson scores 13 off Knicks bench
Rookie Josh Harrellson had 13 points, a block and three 3-pointers off the Knicks bench on Wednesday.
Mike D'Antoni's squad is desperate for bench scoring right now and Harrellson could end up being the answer. He's not worth owning in most leagues right now, but should be on the watch list of owners in deeper leagues.

Tue Jan 3 201201:11Harrellson nosedives against the Raptors
Josh Harrellson started with Amare Stoudemire (ankle) out again on Monday, scoring two points on free throws (0-for-4 FGs) with five rebounds, one steal, and one block in 33 minutes.
It's definitely not what owners were looking for in a spot-start, and if Amare misses more time then owners needing spot help could be looking at a similar decision. Beyond that, however, Harrellson does not deserve attention in fantasy leagues.
