Roberts came off the bench Friday in a loss to the Thunder, but led the Hornets in scoring with 17 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT).
Roberts was frankly the only Hornet to have any success shooting the ball Friday, as the team scored just 75 points in the game. This was an outlier for Roberts, who had scored single-digit points in four straight games and was averaging 5.4 points per game in December heading into Friday.

Roberts scored 24 points (10-17 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-4 FT), with four assists and four rebounds in 32 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Trail Blazers.
Roberts showed his potential in this game, but he received the extra minutes due to injuries all over the place on the Hornets' roster. He'll be worth monitoring moving forward.

Roberts scored 12 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), with one rebound in 12 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Trail Blazers.
Roberts didn't get a ton of playing time, but made the most of his minutes on Tuesday. He can't be relied on for any heavy lifting at this point from a fantasy perspective, but he'll be a player to watch moving forward.

Roberts is averaging 16.3 minutes off the bench in Charlotte this season.
It's still early in the season, but it appears that Roberts will be limited to under 20 minutes on the court during any given game. Because of this, he should only be considered in deeper leagues looking for help with assists.
Sun Jul 13 201416:11Brian Roberts signs two-year deal w/ Hornets
Free agent PG Brian Roberts has agreed to sign a two-year, $5.5 million deal with the Hornets.
Gary Neal was the only guard backing up Kemba Walker prior to Roberts' arrival, so the backup PG job should fall to Roberts with Neal filling in primarily at SG. Charlotte may have overpaid to acquire Marvin Williams this weekend, but they did well to land Roberts, a solid PG with 3-point range, on a short-term deal.

Wed Jul 9 201409:14Hornets plan to meet with PG Brian Roberts
The Hornets plan to meet with free agent PG Brian Roberts, who is on their "short list" of candidates to backup Kemba Walker.
The Pistons and Grizzlies have also expressed interest in Roberts, who averaged 9.4 points and 3.3 assists last season and has shot 37.2 percent from downtown in his brief NBA career. Wherever he lands, he's unlikely to exceed the 23 minutes per game he saw with the Pelicans last year.

Tue Jul 8 201414:22DET, MEM interested in PG Brian Roberts
Free agent PG Brian Roberts has reportedly drawn interest from the Pistons and Grizzlies.
The Pistons currently have Will Bynum and Peyton Siva providing PG depth behind Brandon Jennings, but coach/president Stan Van Gundy may prefer Roberts' superior perimeter shooting -- he shot 36.0 percent from deep last year, while Bynum and Siva shot a combined 27-of-87 for Detroit (31.0 percent). The Grizzlies have a more apparent need for a backup PG since Beno Udrih is a free agent and Nick Calathes hopes to return to Greece.

Sat Jun 28 201414:31Brian Roberts becomes unrestricted free agent
The Pelicans will not make Brian Roberts a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.
He had a golden opportunity late in the year with Jrue Holiday out for the season, but he kind of squandered it. Roberts shot just 39.9 percent from the field after the All-Star break while he was able to win the free-throw percentage crown on the season at 94.0 percent. He'll get a deal as a backup point guard somewhere.

Wed Apr 16 201423:10Brian Roberts gets free throw title
Brian Roberts played through his ankle injury and hit 3-of-4 free throws to secure this year's free throw percentage title.
Roberts only played so he could shoot some free throws, which he needed to qualify for the honor. He got it done in just four minutes, and will go back to nursing his ankle at home now that the season is over.

Wed Apr 16 201420:02Brian Roberts available to play on Wednesday
Brian Roberts (ankle) is available to play against the Rockets on Wednesday.
He was a game-time call and it's unclear how much playing time he'll see off the bench. Roberts probably isn't at 100 percent and will be looking to get to the line if he's able to.

Wed Apr 16 201419:09Brian Roberts is a game-time call for Wed.
Brian Roberts is a game-time call for Wednesday vs. the Rockets on Wednesday.
He needs three more free throws to qualify for the free-throw percentage title, so that is likely a priority for him. If he's out, Austin Rivers will start and could have success with big minutes.

Mon Apr 14 201418:46Brian Roberts doubtful for Monday
Brian Roberts (ankle) is doubtful to play on Monday due to his lingering ankle injury.

Sat Apr 12 201419:42Brian Roberts will not play on Saturday
Brian Robers (ankle) will not play against the Rockets on Saturday.
Hopefully he can make it back in time this season because he just needs four more free throws to qualify as the league's leader in percentage. Roberts did not return from his ankle injury on Friday night and ti's certainly possible he's out for the year. Austin Rivers will start, but he'll give way to Tyreke Evans.

Sat Apr 12 201418:43Brian Roberts (ankle) will not play Saturday
Brian Roberts' sprained left ankle will prevent him from playing on Saturday.
His absence means that Austin Rivers should get huge minutes at PG vs. the Rockets, and the Pelicans will be lucky to avoid their eighth consecutive defeat. Their final two games come against the Thunder and Rockets (again) so a double-digit slump is also quite possible.

Fri Apr 11 201421:23Brian Roberts (left ankle) out for game
Brian Roberts suffered a left ankle sprain on Friday and will not return.
He came off the bench tonight and finished with two points, one board and one foul in eight minutes. Roberts made both of his attempts from the line and now needs just four more to qualify as the NBA's leader in free throw percentage. Austin Rivers will get more run and is on the radar as a pickup for PG-needy owners.

Fri Apr 11 201419:06Brian Roberts moves to the bench on Friday
Brian Roberts will come off the bench vs. the Thunder on Friday.
He should still get some nice run off the bench, but the move makes him less likely to have a big game and moves him off the radar as a play tonight. The big thing to watch for Roberts is that he takes six free throws the rest of the way, which will qualify him for the NBA percentage crown.

Tue Apr 1 201402:00Roberts scores just nine points in 22 minutes
Brian Roberts played just 22 minutes on Monday against the Kings, scoring nine points on 4-of-12 shooting with one three, one rebound and two assists.
Roberts' knee might not be at 100 percent and let Ray McCallum run all over him when on the floor, so he's far from being a must-own player in standard leagues. But with a starting job intact he should be watched at a bare minimum, even if he has a low-ceiling due to various fantasy deficiencies.

Mon Mar 31 201418:54Brian Roberts back in as starter
Brian Roberts will start against the Kings on Monday.
He came off the bench in his return on Saturday and should see around 30 minutes tonight. Roberts gets matched up against Ray McCallum and could get plenty of open looks, which makes him an option in most standard leagues.

Sun Mar 30 201400:08Brian Roberts returns, scores 18 points
Brian Roberts returned from a two-game absence on Saturday during a 96-80 loss to the Spurs, scoring 18 points with three boards, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.
He's another guy to play through an in-game knee injury and miss multiple games, but he looked fine tonight. Sure, there's the talk of the Pelicans wanting to tank to try and retain their pick from the Sixers, but Roberts should be good to go the rest of the way now that he's back. He's a solid No. 3 point guard in standard leagues with the upside of being a No. 2 should Eric Gordon (knee) remain out.
