Larkin (ankle) scored four points (2-5 FG) to go along with one rebound and four assists in 15 minutes Monday against the Pelicans.

Larkin was injured in the Knicks' last game against the Bucks, but was able to take the court Monday in a rare win. The Knicks don't have a ton of talent, but Larkin continues to only see limited minutes.

Larkin departed Thursday's game against the Bucks with a sprained ankle and will not return, Steve Popper of The Record reports.

Larkin started and played 19 minutes before exiting in the second half. He was held scoreless (0-4 FG) but contributed a rebound and an assist to go with five fouls and three turnovers. Consider the second-year guard questionable for Monday's game against New Orleans.

Larkin scored 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt) with four steals, three rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes off the bench Wednesday.

Pablo Prigioni got the start alongside Jose Calderon in the Knicks' backcourt, but Larkin ended up playing more minutes than the Argentine. Should the tanking Knicks trade Calderon, Larkin would be arguably the biggest beneficiary, and his ability to contribute in steals could make him a valuable fantasy commodity.

This was by far Larkin's best performance of the season, including the stretch he started at the beginning of the season and it's unlikely we see another night like this in the future. He can ignored in most fantasy formats, outside of deep leagues.

He has been seeing 16-25 minutes per night over the past three games as the Knicks are banged up on the perimeter, but should be considered questionable for Tuesday's game.

Pablo Prigioni played 26 minutes on Saturday and looks to be the primary backup point guard with Calderon returning to the lineup. Larkin can be safely avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Larkin started Saturday against the Hawks and provided nine points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and four assists in 29 minutes in the loss.

Larkin is the only healthy point guard on the Knick roster with Pablo Prigioni (ankle) and Jose Calderon (calf) out. Despite getting minutes, Larkin is not producing fantasy relevant numbers (5.6 points, 2.4 assists in his last five games).

Larkin will move back into the starting lineup Saturday, Newsday reports.

Larkin has had multiple stints in the starting lineup but hasn't been able to amount significant production in the past.

Larkin will move to the bench Friday against the Nets.

Larkin has started the past three games for the Knicks but hasn't been able to tally more than nine points or five assists during any one of those contests. He'll give way to Iman Shumpert at point while Tim Hardaway will ultimately move into the starting lineup at shooting guard.

Larkin started for the Knicks on Sunday, adding 9 points, 2 steals, and 5 assists.

Larkin also went 1-of-2 from 3 point range, and 2-of-2 from the line. His production is low, but his contributions serve as a blueprint for what kind of value he can add with a temporary increase in minutes. Expect him to make the most out these minutes especially because of his contract situation.

Larkin's team option for 2015-16 wasn't pick up by the Knicks, the New York Times' Scott Cacciola reports.

The Knicks want to maintain cap flexibility and clearly view Larkin as an expendable member of the roster. Iman Shumpert will also become a free agent following the 2014-15 season, so it will be interesting to see how the Knicks fill those holes in the backcourt during the offseason.

Larkin is currently ahead of Pablo Prigioni in the Knicks' competition to back-up starting point guard Jose Calderon this season, the New York Post reports.

Larkin was acquired by the Knicks this summer following a rookie season that was limited to just 48 games due to injury. The 2013 first-rounder possesses elite speed, which could boost a Knicks team that played at an awfully slow pace last season. As a result, Larkin is thought to have an edge on 37-year-old Pablo Prigioni in New York's second-string point guard competition. While the aging Prigioni's methodical style of play most resembles starter Jose Calderon, Larkin's ability to push the tempo figures to fit best with some of the Knicks' other youthful reserves, like Tim Hardaway Jr. and Cleanthony Early.

The Knicks are trying to move Samuel Dalembert and Shane Larkin, according to Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal.

Now that the Knicks have the 34th pick in the draft, they at least have some ammunition to get into the first round. Larkin was a top-20 pick last year and he could be used here to sneak into the 20-30 range with that 34th pick. The Knicks probably are not too attached to Dalembert and could wind up buying him out.

He had a couple bright spots in his rookie season, including an 18-point game against the Suns on Jan. 17. Larkin did lose his momentum as the year went on and only played more than 20 minutes in February, March and April with several DNP-CDs on the way. He has some upside and is an option as the second-string point guard behind Jose Calderon.

The Knicks are close to acquiring Shane Larkin in a trade with the Mavericks.

He had a tough time staying healthy in his rookie season due to breaking his ankle even before Las Vegas Summer League started. Larkin has said he'd want to go to Las Vegas again, and he'd get a chance to do so with either the Knicks or Mavs. His athleticism would make him a candidate to become the second-string point guard with the Knicks.
