McGary scored 19 points (8-9 FG, 3-4 FT), to go with 10 rebounds, and a steal in 23 minutes off the bench on Sunday.
This was McGary's third game for the Thunder and the largest amount of minutes he's played thus far. He certainly impressed with his play by posting a double-double and he may be in line for bigger minutes after Steven Adams suffered an undisclosed injury. Adams isn't traveling with the team and Kendrick Perkins is due back with the team, but McGary is a player worth monitoring because he showed promise with his high energy play.

McGary (leg) is dealing with inflammation in his left tibia and will be sidelined 2-to-3 weeks, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports.
It's another tough break for the rookie, who missed the first month of the season due to a fractured foot. He made his NBA debut in Sunday's contest, after which the soreness arose and kept him from playing Tuesday. McGary was recalled from the D-League by the Thunder on Saturday.
It's hard to see McGary earning substantial playing time in a healthy Oklahoma City rotation, but the rookie posted encouraging numbers in the D-League. Averaging 25.4 minutes per game in six contests, McGary hit 49 percent of his field goals while averaging 17.8 points and eight rebounds per game.

McGary was recalled from the D-League on Sunday morning, but he'll be held out of action, despite being healthy enough to play. The rookie is yet to see the floor in the NBA this season after suffering a foot injury during the preseason. His inactive status Sunday is an indication that he likely won't be a major factor in the rotation this season.

McGary has yet to play in an NBA-level game this season and will be looking for coach Scott Brooks to call his number against the Pistons on Sunday. Tue Dec 2 201418:36McGary (foot) will not be available for Tuesday's game
McGary (foot) will not be available for Tuesday's game, The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater reports.

If he doesn't play Tuesday, McGary could make his debut Friday in Philadelphia.

McGary (foot) will play for the OKC Blue on Sunday, Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman reports.
After injurying his foot in college, McGary has yet to play a professional game, but will get his chance Sunday. While this individual game does not mean much for fantasy, it likely indicates that he will be healthy enough to play in the Thunder's next game Tuesday. Even if he does come back completely healthy, OKC has too many forwards for McGary to have fantasy value in standard leagues without help from injuries.

McGary (foot) is expected to be ready to play "sometime in the near future," according to coach Scott Brooks, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
The rookie out of Michigan is yet to play this season after suffering a fractured left foot during the preseason. He's been a limited participant in practice of late, though the Thunder are yet to provide a target return date. McGary will miss five to seven weeks after suffering a fracture in his left foot during Wednesday's preseason game versus the Nuggets, The Oklahoman reports.
McGary played just eight games in college at Michigan last season due to a back injury and will now return to the sidelines to begin his NBA career. Although he performed admirably over the summer, McGary wasn't expected to fill a consistent role for the Thunder as a rookie. Nonetheless, his absence will slow his early development and clear veteran Nick Collison to maintain his long-time backup power forward role.
