G E'Twaun Moore scored a career-high 36 points, missing only five of his 20 shots. Moore eclipsed his previous single-game high for 3-pointers by sinking six in the first half. He didn't add to his total after halftime.

PG Kyrie Irving,sat out due to a left quadriceps contusion. Irving scored 16 points in Boston's victory over Detroit on Sunday, but he took a knee to his quad in that game and experienced discomfort on Monday morning. Irving missed one other game this season when he sat out against the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 12 after suffering a facial fracture the game before against the Charlotte Hornets. He wore a mask for 13 straight games before going without it in Sunday's game.

G Eric Gordon totaled 27 points on 9-of-12 shooting off the bench to offset the short-handed Pelicans' offensive brilliance.
