Wed Nov 13 201315:22Nick Collison will return to the lineup
Nick Collison (hip) will return to the lineup and face the Clippers on Wednesday.
He missed Sunday's game and could help fill the void left by Kendrick Perkins (personal). Collison does a lot on the court to help the team, but he doesn't do enough in the box score to be added in almost any fantasy league.

Sun Nov 10 201317:33Nick Collison out with a hip contusion
Nick Collison will not play against the Wizards on Sunday due to a hip contusion.
He's played 17.6 minutes per game and is an important ancillary piece for the second unit. The first thing that probably comes to mind for owners is whether this helps hot pickup Steven Adams, but almost all of Collison's minutes have come at power forward while all of Adams' come at the five. That may change tonight, so Adams could build off his 17-point explosion from Friday.

Fri May 3 201313:30More Nick Collison coming for Game 6 Friday
Beat writer Darnell Mayberry expects Nick Collison to play more in Friday's Game 6 vs. Houston.
Scott Brooks has very strangely not played Collison over 20 minutes in any game, and it's about time he proved capable of making an adjustment when it's desperately needed. Collison averaged 19.5 minutes during the regular season but has not played that much in any game during the playoffs.

Sun Apr 21 201309:41Nick Collison will be available for Game 1
Nick Collison, who sat out the regular season finale to rest, will be available for Game 1 against the Rockets.
Collison was never nursing an injury so this is just a reminder that he's good to go and will see his traditional role off the bench.

Wed Apr 17 201312:31Nick Collison will not play Wednesday night
Nick Collison (rest) will sit out of Wednesday's season finale.
Collison will get the night off as he prepares for the playoffs. Hasheem Thabeet and Daniel Orton will be the primary big men for OKC.

Sun Mar 24 201321:38Nick Collison (groin) active on Sunday
Nick Collison (groin) was active on Sunday, as expected, playing 26 minutes off OKC's bench.
He finished with 10 points, six rebounds and one steal, fairly typical numbers for the blue-collar backup big man.

Sat Mar 23 201315:02Nick Collison probable for Sunday's game
Nick Collison (groin) missed practice on Saturday to receive treatment and is expected to play on Sunday.
He returned on Friday and scored 11 points in 19 minutes. Collison's game fits in well with the Thunder stars, but he has very little fantasy value.

Fri Mar 22 201312:36Nick Collison (groin) game-time call Friday
Nick Collison will be a game-time decision on Friday against the Magic due to a groin contusion.
That does not sound pleasant. Collison hasn't received a blurb since the end of January which tells you his relevance in fantasy leagues, but if he sits out, it would mean Serge Ibaka would likely see more minutes and that's a bigger takeaway than Collison's absence. Kendrick Perkins would also be asked to play more minutes than usual if Collison is sidelined.

Wed Jan 23 201301:23Nick Collison logs 41 minutes Tuesday
Nick Collison logged a season-high 41 minutes against the Clippers on Tuesday and had eight points, seven boards, two assists, one steal and two blocks.
Kendrick Perkins had four fouls in seven minutes, so Collison was given some extra burn in the win. The Kansas product couldn't produce with Serge Ibaka out of the lineup last week, so there's no reason to pick him up in most formats.

Sat Jan 19 201301:57Collison (ankle) returns to action
Nick Collison (ankle) returned to action on Friday against the Mavs, scoring eight points on 4-of-6 shooting with five rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench.
Collison returns to his low-minute role off the bench and has no real fantasy value.

Fri Jan 18 201320:16Nick Collison (ankle) will play on Friday
Nick Collison (ankle) will play against the Mavericks on Friday.
He couldn't make an impact even with Serge Ibaka out for two games, so Collison's prospects as a fantasy asset don't look good in even deep leagues. He belongs on the waiver wire.

Wed Jan 16 201321:32Nick Collison sprains ankle, out for game
Nick Collison sprained his right ankle in the first half of Wednesday's game and he will not return.
Collison played just 19.0 minutes per game with Serge Ibaka out of the lineup in the past two games, so he barely has any value. He should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Mavericks.

Sun Jan 13 201323:53Nick Collison quiet in fill-in start
Nick Collison made a fill-in start for Serge Ibaka (chest) on Sunday, scoring eight points and grabbing three boards in 22 minutes.
Ibaka's absence was keenly felt, as LaMarcus Aldridge poured in 33 points, and Collison barely played more than he does with OKC at full strength. His fantasy value is strictly limited to the deepest leagues.

Sun Jan 6 201315:57Collison goes for 10 points and eight boards
Nick Collison scored 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds in 21 minutes of the bench in Sunday's easy 104-92 win over the Raptors.
He has picked it up in his last five games, averaging 8.4 points, 6.2 boards and 1.0 steals in 21 minutes. Collison is still in a time-share split with Kendrick Perkins (four points, seven boards and on steal in 24 minutes) and neither have value in standard leagues.

Mon Dec 31 201222:44Nick Collison just misses a double-double
Nick Collison just missed a double-double in 20 minutes with 10 points and nine rebounds against the Suns on Monday.
He had a double-double on Saturday with 12 and 10, and both of these performances were his best two games in over three weeks. We'd still leave him on the waiver wire in most formats, though.

Sun Dec 30 201200:21Nick Collison has first dub-dub of the season
Nick Collison notched his first double-double of the season on Saturday with 12 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals in an easy win over the Rockets.
Collison made 6-of-10 FGs, and four of his rebounds came on the offensive glass, but this is a fluky performance with no lasting implications. His season averages explain why -- 5.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 19 minutes per game.

Sat Nov 24 201222:03Nick Collison scores season-high 14 points
Nick Collison's season-high 14 points helped the Thunder squeak out a win in OT on Saturday.
This was Collison's first game in double-digits this season, and he's exponentially more valuable in real life than in fantasy leagues. Don't expect a repeat performance any time soon.

Tue Feb 28 201218:18Nick Collison ready to go for Thunder
Nick Collison (quad) will play in Wednesday's game against the Sixers.
Collison used the All-Star break to get his quad bruise back near 100 percent. He'll resume his 19-22 minute role off the bench, cutting into Serge Ibaka's minutes at times.

Thu Feb 23 201220:29Collison (quad) out on Thursday vs. Lakers
Nick Collison (quad) will not play on Thursday against the Lakers.
This should, in theory, help Scott Brooks provide Serge Ibaka minutes, but Brooks has an aversion to using one of the league's best defensive players. Ibaka owners can take solace in the fact that Brooks always hesitates to bench Ibaka on national TV games, since the national media might not be as kind as it at home.
