Ian Clark said he wanted to show he can play point guard.
The Jazz used him off the ball more often than not in Las Vegas, but he was still able to average 2.0 assists per game. Clark's game has been primarily making 3-pointers and he hit 1.4 per game in his 21.4 minutes of action. He has a chance to make the team, but it'll likely be as a shooting guard.

Sun Aug 4 201316:01Ian Clark signing makes some sense for Utah
Ian Clark made 46 percent of his attempts from 3-point range and was the only NCAA Division 1 player to rank in the top 20 for makes while shooting over 44.5 percent from beyond the arc last season.
The Jazz decided to take a shot on Clark with a two-year deal on July 24 after his 33-point outburst in the Las Vegas Summer League championship game with Golden State on July 22. Clark also shined with Miami in Orlando and was one of the bigger winners of summer league play. Utah is set on the wings with Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks, but the proficient shooting of Clark could help him make a case for minutes off the bench in his rookie season.
