Thu Feb 24 202221:39Richaun Holmes Will Sit Out On Thursday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (back) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Holmes has lost a ton of value with Domantas Sabonis joining the Kings roster. In fact, Holmes only played 10 minutes in their last game before the All-Star break. That being said, there isn't a ton of minutes available with Holmes sitting out. Possibly, Chimezie Metu has a bigger role, but Sabonis will likely also absorb some more minutes. At this point, Holmes is looking like a cut-candidate in most formats.

Tue Feb 8 202221:49Richaun Holmes Unavailable On Tuesday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (personal) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This comes out of nowhere and on a day where Holmes was expected to play a big role in the rotation. Marvin Bagley III (ankle) is out as well, so the Kings are going to be lacking bigs on Tuesday. Possibly, the Kings are working on another trade involving Holmes with Domantas Sabonis headed to town. Regardless, Harrison Barnes, Chimezie Metu, and Damian Jones are going to be asked to step up on Tuesday. Barnes has the highest upside out of the three of them. He'll be worth a look as a streaming option and DFS choice for Tuesday's slate.

Sun Jan 16 202217:21Richaun Holmes To Return On Sunday Night
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes will return on Sunday evening against the visiting Rockets. The big man hasn't played in over a month while navigating his way through COVID-19 protocols. However, he should get some meaningful work versus Houston, especially with Marvin Bagley III (shoulder) and Tristan Thompson (illness) both out.

Sat Jan 1 202219:09Richaun Holmes Enters COVID-19 Protocols
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Miami Heat. Holmes has entered the league's health and safety protocols. This is a shame since Holmes has played well in his five games since returning from injury. Marvin Bagley III, Damian Jones, and Chimezie Metu should all see increased minutes. It's uncertain how the Kings will shake up their rotation from this. Bagley could end up benefiting the most from the loss of Holmes. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday and see how the Kings shake up their lineup.

Wed Dec 22 202120:31Richaun Holmes Cleared To Start Wednesday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) has been given the green light to return to action for Wednesday's game against the Clippers. Holmes had missed each of his team's past seven outings due to an eye ailment, with his return knocking much of the fantasy shine from Tristan Thompson. When healthy, Holmes has been a solid season-long contributor, having delivered eight double-doubles in 22 games, including one against L.A. back on Dec. 1. Holmes enters the night with the second-best shooting percentage in the league (70.7%), which aids his DFS stock much in the same way that opponents' rebounds per game against the Clippers (47.2 per outing) does.

Wed Dec 22 202114:57Richaun Holmes Hopeful To Play Wednesday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) is hopeful to be available for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He has missed each of the last seven games due to an eye laceration. Chimezie Metu and Tristan Thompson have been filling in for Holmes lately. One of them should head back to the bench, assuming Holmes is back on Wednesday. Both players should still be part of the rotation, but would certainly lose value with Holmes returning. Fantasy managers will need to double check before tip-off on Wednesday.

Tue Dec 21 202120:45Richaun Holmes Draws Questionable Tag For Wednesday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) remains questionable to play in Wednesday's game against the Clippers as he works through an eye ailment. Holmes has missed each of the Kings' past seven contests, allowing a dearth of frontcourt members to see an elevated workload, with Tristan Thompson being the latest. Holmes will have played in just four games over the past calendar month, a detriment to the solid season he has had when healthy; through 22 games, the veteran's 70.7% shooting percentage ranks second in the league. If cleared, Holmes is a rosterable fantasy commodity in the majority of season-long formats.

Mon Dec 20 202117:41Richaun Holmes Questionable For Monday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Golden State Warriors. He has missed each of the last six games due to a right eye laceration. However, this is the first time that Holmes has been questionable since suffering the injury. It sounds like he is trending in the right direction, but could still miss a little more time. Until he returns, Tristan Thompson should continue to start, while Chimezie Metu gets extra minutes off the bench. Fantasy managers should check back closer to tip-off to see if anything changes.

Sun Dec 19 202116:59Richaun Holmes Continues To Sit On Sunday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) will remain out on Sunday against the Spurs. The big guy will miss a sixth consecutive game with a right eye problem. With Marvin Bagley III and Alex Len still unavailable because of health and safety protocols, Tristan Thompson and Chimezie Metu continue to carry the frontcourt. The latter just posted a nice double-double against the Grizzlies and looks to be in a decent spot to replicate the performance against a Spurs team that tends to struggle on the glass.

Fri Dec 17 202117:32Richaun Holmes Remains Out For Friday’s Game
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) will miss Friday's contest against Memphis, marking his fifth consecutive absence due to a right eye laceration. The league's health and safety protocols have taken their toll on the Sacramento roster, leaving Tristan Thompson as the likeliest candidate to see the lion's share of minutes at the five if Friday's game vs. the Grizzlies takes place. When healthy, Holmes has enjoyed a continued upward trajectory in 2021-22, shooting a career-best 70.7 percent from the field, while snatching a career-high 9.3 boards per game. His next chance to get back in action comes Sunday vs. the Spurs.

Wed Dec 15 202120:24Richaun Holmes Officially Out Against Wizards
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) will not play Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards. Holmes was doubtful so no surprise here as he continues to deal with an eye injury. Alex Len will start again and is a low-end streamer for rebounds and blocks while Holmes remains out.

Tue Dec 14 202120:07Richaun Holmes Listed As Doubtful For Wednesday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. He has missed each of the last four games after undergoing an eye procedure. Marvin Bagley III, Alex Len, and Tristan Thompson will all see additional playing time while Holmes is out. Bagley has been playing the best out of the three of them. He has three double-doubles in his last five games. Bagley appears to be someone worth snagging off the waiver wire in the short term.

Sun Dec 12 202118:52Richaun Holmes Listed Out For Monday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) looks set to miss a third consecutive game on Monday against Toronto. He was first ruled out for two games, but the 28-year-old still needs a bit more time to recover. Marvin Bagley III has emerged from the depths of the bench lately and even logged his first start on Saturday against Cleveland, producing seven points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes. Alex Len is also rolling with the starters and there's also potential for Tristan Thompson to benefit from Holmes' absence. The latter two haven't really done anything lately, though.

Thu Dec 9 202120:49Richaun Holmes To Miss Multiple Games
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) is expected to miss at least two games, but could possibly sit out more than that. He underwent a procedure to repair a right eye laceration. Holmes suffered the injury late in November, but has been able to play through the issue. It sounds like the issue was too much for him, so he'll get the issue fixed. In the meantime, Marvin Bagley III, Alex Len, and Tristan Thompson will all be asked to pick up the slack. Bagley has the most upside out of the three and could be worth rostering in the short term. Also, Thompson is a plus rebounder, so he could be worth snagging in category leagues.

Wed Dec 1 202109:30Richaun Holmes Returns With A Big Performance
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes ended a three-game absence with a game-high 27 points on 12-for-13 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers, adding nine rebounds to his line with two assists, two blocks and two turnovers. The 28-year-old missed time with an eye injury, but there was nothing wrong with his sight here as Holmes almost had a perfect shooting night. The 27 points mark Holmes' best scoring output this season, so it was a very impressive return to the lineup. He'll now face a pair of battles against the Clippers, who have limited centers to just 48.3 percent shooting this season.

Sat Nov 27 202120:43Richaun Holmes Remains Unavailable For Sunday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (illness) will miss his third consecutive outing Sunday against Memphis due to an illness. Alex Len drew the start Friday in his stead and played a whopping 37 minutes, which could make the veteran big man an appealing DFS play vs. a unit that has struggled mightily at slowing opposing centers -- 60.1 DFS points per game, per FanDuel, the most in the league. Holmes is nearly averaging a double-double (14.4 points, 9.8 rebounds) across his first 18 games, with his 69.4 percent shooting making him a must-start fantasy asset when healthy. His next chance at getting back into action comes Tuesday vs. the Lakers.

Fri Nov 26 202121:22Richaun Holmes Absent Again On Friday Night
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) is out for Friday's game against the Lakers. During the veteran's most recent appearance against OKC, he took a poke to the right eye, which caused him to miss the team's previous matchup against the Trail Blazers on Thanksgiving Eve. As a result, Alex Len, who had 12 points as a member of the starting lineup against Portland, is expected to retain the same role against L.A. However, with Harrison Barnes (foot) also out, it appears as Marvin Bagley III could be a better fantasy option, especially after nearly compiling a double-double on Wednesday night.

Wed Nov 24 202120:01Richaun Holmes Is Questionable On Wednesday
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes (eye) is questionable against Portland. The 28-year-old was poked in the right eye during Monday's loss to Philadelphia and is now dealing with a contusion. Nonetheless, fantasy managers likely won't know Holmes' status until closer to tip-off. However, if he can't go, Chimezie Metu, Tristan Thompson, and even Marvin Bagley III could be in line for more work. Still, all are risky fantasy options, especially with new interim head coach Alvin Gentry mixing things up with the rotation.

Sun Nov 21 202109:24Richaun Holmes Ends Saturday Night With 22 Points
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes almost had a perfect shooting night against Utah on Saturday, finishing 9-for-10 from the field and 4-for-5 at the foul line on his way to a team-high 22 points. He also registered seven rebounds and one block in 31 minutes. Holmes had a 20-rebound game earlier in the month but his work on the boards has been pretty disappointing in recent games, and his scoring numbers don't really stand out too often either. As a center, Holmes starts off next week with very difficult matchups against the Sixers and the Blazers, who both have great rebounders patrolling the paint.

Sat Nov 6 202109:29Richaun Holmes Produces Monster 20-20 Game
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes delivered one of the best games of his career in Friday's victory over the Hornets. Holmes was a beast in the paint, scoring 23 points while pulling down 20 rebounds with two assists. The Bowling Green product had tallied a double-double by halftime in yet another impressive performance, as well as a resounding bounce-back following a disappointing effort his last time out. Holmes has averaged 15.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 69.4 percent from the field. He'll get a tricky matchup on Sunday against Myles Turner and the Pacers.
