Wed Mar 15 202321:42Gary Harris Considered Questionable For Thursday
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (hip) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns. The 28-year-old is dealing with right hip flexor soreness, which could ultimately force him to the sideline. Jalen Suggs would likely move into the starting five if Harris is forced out of action. He has started in each of the last two games that Harris has missed. In those games, Suggs is averaging nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. He's worth a look as a low-end streaming option if Harris is unable to play on Thursday.

Sat Jan 14 202307:01Gary Harris Exits With A Hand Injury
Orlando Magic guard/forward Gary Harris injured his right hand on Friday against Utah and logged just 12 minutes of action. He had his lone points via a three-pointer and picked up three rebounds and one steal. The veteran has been a regular starter for the team since making his season debut in November, averaging 8.6 points in 23.5 minutes. Jalen Suggs is the main candidate to take Harris' spot in the starting unit, although he has been bothered by right ankle soreness lately and played for just 14 minutes on Friday. Suggs already had a spell as a starter at the beginning of the season before going down with an injury, averaging 12.6 points with 3.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists. These numbers came without Markelle Fultz in the lineup, but Suggs should still be a solid fantasy piece as a starter.

Wed Dec 7 202210:36Gary Harris Sidelined Again With Hamstring Ailment
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (hamstring) will have to miss another game with a hamstring strain. This will be his fourth consecutive game missed due to the hamstring issue. He hasn't exactly been a pillar of health this season as he's only played six out of a possible 25 games. As he sits out, the value of Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony, and Terrence Ross will continue to rise. All three of them are solid streaming options if they're on the waiver wire in any type of fantasy league.

Fri Dec 2 202210:33Gary Harris Dealing With Hamstring Strain
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (hamstring) returned from his meniscus surgery back on November 18th and has appeared in six games since then. Now, after only being able to play 16 minutes in their last game, Harris picked up a strained hamstring that will cause him to miss at least one game. He's officially listed as out for their contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. With Jalen Suggs out and Markelle Fultz on a minutes restriction, Cole Anthony and Terrence Ross will likely see a boost in usage.

Sat Nov 19 202216:50Gary Harris Uncertain For Saturday's Game Against Indy
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (knee) is questionable on Saturday against the Pacers. After having meniscus surgery in September, the veteran made his 2022-23 debut during Friday's meeting with the Bulls. He finished that one with seven points in 24 minutes, so he may get the night off for the second game of a back-to-back. If Harris is ultimately ruled out, R.J. Hampton, who was a DNP-coach's decision versus Chicago, could move back into the rotation. However, he's not a trustworthy fantasy performer by any means.

Sun Aug 28 202222:38Gary Harris Has A Torn Meniscus
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (knee) suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee. He will undergo further testing, with surgery remaining a possibility. Harris was traded to Orlando from Denver in March 2021 and signed a two-year, $26 million contract extension in June. Although the veteran isn't expected to start this season, he should get a consistent role in the rotation, so he does have some fantasy value in deeper formats. However, there's a good chance Harris will miss some time moving ahead, opening the door for Terrence Ross and R.J. Hampton to receive more minutes.

Thu Apr 7 202209:15Gary Harris Questionable For Personal Reasons On Thursday
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (personal) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets. The 27-year-old hasn't suited up since March 22, so we're thinking he may be more on the doubtful side of questionable for Thursday's contest. Harris was dealing with a knee injury in mid-March, but undisclosed personal reasons are what may keep him sidelined for Thursday. With Cole Anthony (toe) out for the game, we should see Jalen Suggs, Markelle Fultz and R.J. Hampton dominate the backcourt minutes.

Wed Mar 23 202209:56Wendell Carter Jr., Gary Harris Questionable For Wednesday
Orlando Magic power forward/center Wendell Carter Jr. (wrist, ankle) and shooting guard/small forward Gary Harris (knee) have been deemed questionable to play in Wednesday's game against the Thunder, the second leg of a back-to-back. Carter logged a team-high 19 points during Tuesday's win over the Warriors, and an absence would pave the way for Chuma Okeke to become an appealing DFS commodity. Harris has been a solid depth piece for the second unit, while an absence could open more minutes for R.J. Hampton. Carter has enjoyed a breakout campaign in his first full season with the Magic, as he is just one of 14 players in the league to average a double-double with points and rebounds this season.

Tue Mar 15 202215:42Gary Harris Cleared To Play Versus Nets
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (knee) has been cleared to play during Tuesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. He was previously listed as questionable, but will be available, which is great news for the Magic. Jalen Suggs (ankle) has been ruled out, so Harris should have a bigger role than normal on Tuesday. R.J. Hampton is expected to start in place on Suggs and is an intriguing fantasy option. Harris will have some low-end streaming appeal without Suggs available.

Sun Jan 23 202217:51Gary Harris Won't Suit Up Against Bulls
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bulls. This is certainly frustrating with RJ Hampton (knee) and Terrence Ross (knee) both sidelined as well. This means, Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony will have to play heavy minutes and see a spike in usage on Sunday. Both should be viewed as intriguing DFS options for Sunday's slate.

Mon Dec 27 202111:23Gary Harris Leads Magic In Scoring On Sunday
Orlando Magic shooting guard Gary Harris was the team's leading scorer with 20 points in Sunday's 93-83 loss to Miami, hitting 7-for-11 from the field and 2-for-5 from outside. He also tallied three rebounds and one assist with two turnovers in 35 minutes. Harris carried the scoring burden after Cole Anthony (ankle) was ruled out for the contest. Anthony has just returned from a right ankle sprain, so Orlando doesn't want to push him too hard. Harris is having a fine finish to 2021, going for 20-plus points in three of the past five games. He's also been making plenty of plays lately, although the 27-year-old now boasts just one assist from his last two outings. The Bucks are up next for the Magic, which is an ugly matchup, but Harris often feeds from the three-point line and Milwaukee is giving up by far the most three-point attempts per game this season (42).

Fri Dec 17 202118:47Gary Harris Will Play Friday, Starts At Point Guard
Orlando Magic shooting guard Gary Harris (hamstring) has been given the green light to take the floor for Friday's game against the Heat, drawing a rare start at point guard to boot. Injuries have hampered the Magic's backcourt, which should funnel a sizable minutes allotment in the direction of Harris, who has already averaged 32 minutes per night in six December contests. With Mychal Mulder the only other ballhandler available, Harris stands to be a popular DFS option in spite of the Heat's dogged defensive abilities. After a slow start to the year, Harris has scored in double figures in seven of his last eight games, knocking down at least one triple in all of those outings.

Thu Dec 16 202118:30Cole Anthony And Gary Harris Questionable Friday
Orlando Magic guards Cole Anthony (ankle) and Gary Harris (hamstring) are both questionable to play Friday against the Miami Heat. Anthony missed six games in November with a sprained ankle so it is a bit worrisome to see the same injury pop up again. Harris, on the other hand, was a late scratch with hamstring tightness on Wednesday and could sit for the second straight game. R.J. Hampton played well in a spot start without Harris and would likely continue to start if Harris missed another game. If Anthony sits, the Magic may turn to Mychal Mulder alongside Hampton. Either way, Hampton seems poised to be a solid streamer Friday.

Mon Nov 22 202117:58Cole Anthony, Gary Harris Will Miss Monday’s Contest
Orlando Magic point guard Cole Anthony (ankle) and shooting guard Gary Harris (hand) have been ruled out for Monday's game against Milwaukee. Mychal Mulder will be elevated into the starting five in place of Anthony, a move which gives the third-year pro a significant boost in DFS appeal, particularly at his bargain basement price tag. R.J. Hampton stands to continue seeing a sizable role within the second unit, while Jalen Suggs could see added ballhandling opportunities. Anthony has showcased a skill set in his second season indicative of a burgeoning star, having averaged 19.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists across his first 16 games. Harris, meanwhile, has struggled to acclimate to the Magic's second unit, having shot just 36 percent overall, including an underwhelming 18.5 percent from behind the arc.

Sat Nov 20 202119:11Gary Harris To Start On Saturday
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris will move into the starting five for Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Young guard Cole Anthony (ankle) has been ruled out, so Harris will take his spot in the rotation. Harris had some memorable moments in Denver, but hasn't found his groove since joining the Magic. There isn't much upside for him right now and Harris isn't a favorable streaming option for Saturday.

Fri Nov 5 202117:46Gary Harris Returns For Friday’s Contest
Orlando Magic shooting guard Gary Harris (ankle) has been cleared to take the floor Friday against San Antonio, ending his absence at two games. Harris has been utilized as a bench piece for the Magic in the early portion of the year, averaging just 6.3 points per game. As Orlando prioritizes development from its young backcourt, Harris' contributions are a far cry from those he delivered during his seven-year run with Denver. His return figures to cut into R.J. Hampton's usage among the second unit for the time being.

Sun Oct 24 202118:54Gary Harris To Remain Out On Sunday
Orlando Magic shooting guard Gary Harris (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the New York Knicks. The veteran has yet to make his first appearance of the season as he is dealing with a right hamstring injury. Cole Anthony and rookie Jalen Suggs will start in the backcourt once again. R.J. Hampton and Terrence Ross will each see a good amount of playing time off the bench. Harris should be a solid source of three-pointers this season so he is worth rostering in most fantasy leagues. He has a good chance to be the team's starting shooting guard or the first guard off the bench for the team.

Wed Oct 20 202120:25Gary Harris A Late Scratch With Hamstring Injury
Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (hamstring), who was slated to start, has been scratched from the lineup Wednesday. Rookie Jalen Suggs draws the start in his place. Harris will miss the contest against the Spurs due to "right hamstring maintenance." Suggs will get a chance to see his fair share of minutes in his NBA debut after being selected with the fifth pick in the 2021 draft. The rookie averaged five points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks per game in 22.6 minutes per contest this preseason. Suggs isn't worth targeting yet in DFS formats.

Sat Mar 27 202115:33Gordon, McGee eager to lead Nuggets toward deep playoff run
DENVER (AP) — Among the topics JaVale McGee considers himself well-versed: Netflix shows, cryptocurrency, investments and technology as it relates to the new iPhone. “I’m really versed in the world of a lot of things,” he said. Go ahead and add winning NBA rings to that list, too. The 7-footer has been a part of three championship teams over the past four seasons. McGee believes his newest Denver Nuggets castmates have that possible championship makeup, especially with the additions of athletic forward Aaron Gordon and himself at the trade deadline. “This team has all the pieces,” McGee said Saturday as he prepares for his second stint with the Nuggets after being acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers. "A lot of things have to go right, but I feel like we have all the pieces for it to go right.” First order of business — meshing. Time is of the essence, too, for McGee and Gordon to get on the same page with All-Star center and MVP candidate Nikola Jokic, along with point guard Jamal Murray.... [More]
Fri Mar 26 202101:12Nuggets acquire forward Aaron Gordon from Magic
DENVER (AP) — The Denver Nuggets made another aggressive move at the trade deadline by acquiring forward Aaron Gordon from the Orlando Magic. The Nuggets officially announced the deal for Gordon late Thursday night. In exchange, the Magic receive veteran shooting guard Gary Harris, rookie R.J. Hampton and a future first-round draft pick. Denver also is receiving forward Gary Clark as part of the trade package. Earlier in the day, the Nuggets acquired backup center JaVale McGee from the Cleveland Cavaliers for Isaiah Hartenstein and two second-round picks. The 25-year-old Gordon averaged 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Magic this season. He was the fourth overall pick by Orlando in the 2014 draft. Gordon could find himself in the running to be in Denver's starting rotation — possibly in place of veteran Paul Millsap. He would join a lineup that includes Michael Porter Jr., Jamal Murray, Will Barton and All-Star big man Nikola Jokic as the Nuggets chase after their first... [More]
