The Los Angeles Clippers have already reportedly expressed interest in a reunion with guard Chris Paul. On paper, Paul to the Clippers does make sense in a lot of ways. The Clippers don't have a true ball handler and already have top tier talent in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Honestly, Paul would put this team over the top, but what is it going to cost them? The expectation is that the Washington Wizards will look to move Paul once they finalize the deal with Phoenix. The Wizards are expected to go into full rebuild move and the Clippers don't have many draft picks to give up. That being said, the Clippers might have to strip away the young talent that they do have in order to acquire Paul from Washington. It remains to be seen what Washington wants for Paul, but don't be shocked if he ends up in a Clippers uniform again.

Per Buha, the Lakers have also discussed the idea of re-signing Russell and adding Paul in free agency, with Paul being the favorite to be the starting point guard. Paul said earlier in the week that he would like to stay in Phoenix, but he likely wouldn't mind suiting up alongside long-time friend LeBron James.
