Wed Oct 27 202121:06Joel Embiid, Shake Milton Questionable For Thursday
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) and point guard Shake Milton (ankle) are both questionable for Thursday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Milton is dealing with a right ankle sprain and he has yet to make his season debut. Embiid, meanwhile, has been wearing a questionable tag regularly over the past week. He's dealing with right knee soreness. He has been playing through the injury, but he certainly hasn't been 100% and his numbers have shown it. Over four games, he's averaging 19.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 44.4% from the field. The blocks have been great, but all those other numbers are down a good amount from last year (28.5 PPG, 10.6 RPG, 51.3% FG%).

Sun Oct 24 202118:38Shake Milton Remains Out On Sunday
Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton (ankle) will remain out on Sunday as the team takes on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Milton is dealing with a right ankle sprain and he has yet to make his season debut. There is no timetable for his return, but head coach Doc Rivers believes that he is close to returning to practice. Milton has been sprinting and going through light workouts, so he's certainly making progress. Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry and Furkan Korkmaz will continue to see extended run with Milton out.

Wed Oct 20 202118:23Shake Milton Out Against Pelicans
Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton (ankle) will not play during Wednesday's opener against the Pelicans. This isn't a surprise, primarily since a right ankle sprain has plagued him since the preseason. With Ben Simmons (suspension) also not in the equation after getting thrown out of practice on Tuesday, Philly will be short-handed in the backcourt. As a result, Tyrese Maxey could be in store for more minutes than initially expected. Isaiah Joe, who had a red-hot preseason, could also be a serviceable value option in DFS formats against New Orleans.

Sun Oct 10 202117:56Shake Milton Ruled Out For Monday
Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets. He is dealing with a sprained right ankle and he is scheduled for further testing. Milton started the team's last preseason game against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday. He had a quiet performance over 25 minutes, hitting 2-of-5 shots while tallying five points, four assists, two rebounds and a steal. Tyrese Maxey will likely be promoted to the starting lineup for Monday's game and he'll be a strong target for DFS play. He notched 14 points and five assists over 21 minutes on Thursday.

Sun Jun 13 202116:4476ers' Rivers seeks fill-in for injured Green against Hawks
ATLANTA (AP) — Doc Rivers isn't revealing his plan for replacing Danny Green in the Philadelphia 76ers' lineup. Rivers said Sunday “some of the unintended good consequences of having injuries during the regular season” are having options for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night. Green's injury is a big loss for Rivers, but the coach has a deep bench. Green is expected to miss at least two weeks after straining his right calf early Friday in a 127-111 win over the Hawks. The 76ers took a 2-1 lead in the series, putting Atlanta behind in a series for the first time in this postseason. Hawks coach Nate McMillan is trying to avoid putting added pressure on his players. “I think all games are must-wins,” McMillan said Sunday. “If we don’t get tomorrow night we still have another chance in Philly, but you want to take advantage of your home court.” Matisse Thybulle was Rivers' first choice to replace Green in Friday night's game. Thybulle... [More]
Wed Jun 9 202117:13Hawks remain confident vs 76ers despite Embiid's dominance
ATLANTA (AP) — The Hawks return to Atlanta beaming with confidence in their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Philadelphia 76ers despite their inability to slow down, much less stop, Joel Embiid. The 76ers big man has scored 79 points in the first two games at Philadelphia to open the series, which is tied 1-1 heading into Friday's Game 3 in Atlanta — where the Hawks have won 13 consecutive games. It's the longest active home winning streak in the NBA. “I hope fans are ready to rock the house on Friday,” Trae Young said after Philadelphia's 118-102 win in Game 2 on Tuesday night. The Hawks will need their fans — but they also know they have to correct some issues on the court. They expect better outside shooting from Young and his backcourt partner Bogdan Bogdanovic. And until they find a defensive combination to slow Embiid, Atlanta will have to do a better job of containing his teammates. The challenge of containing the 76ers' outside shooting grew Wednesday when the Hawks... [More]
