Singler will start Saturday's game against the Hornets in place of Kevin Durant (foot), Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.

Singler will get the start in his OKC debut, but with Anthony Morrow, Perry Jones and Dion Waiters also on the roster, Singler won't necessarily play typical starter minutes. A change of scenery is unlikely to change the reality that Singler offers little besides three-point shooting.

Singler will be available for Saturday's game against the Hornets, The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater reports.

The trade should make it difficult for Singler to see enough minutes to be useful in most leagues, as he will be competing with a lot of similarly talented players for minutes on the wing.

Meeks' injury opens the door for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who's dealing with a knee injury right now, to likely step into the starting role once the regular season tips off. After the Pistons' offseason moves, Singler was expected to see most of his action at small forward this year, but his versatility and previous experience at shooting guard allows the Pistons to use him at the two when injuries force their hand. The third-year wing should see a slight uptick in minutes while Meeks is out.

Singler has been told to study the power-forward playbook for the Pistons in case coach Stan Van Gundy wants to play the small forward at power forward in some smaller lineups, the Pistons' official site reports.

Singler is a rangy small forward who lacks physical girth, which is one reason why he spent a lot of time at shooting guard over the last two seasons. With Van Gundy taking over as the Pistons' head coach this season and Jodie Meeks coming to the team in free agency, it's expected that Singler will spend most of his time at small forward this season and occasionally receive exploratory minutes as a stretch four. At 6-8, 230 pounds, Singler has the length to play an undersized power forward, but he would give up a lot on defense if asked to defend a traditional power forward.

Singler slowed down a bit a week or so ago but he's back to returning mid-round value over the past four games, averaging 13.3 points with 2.0 threes, 3.3 boards, 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks while hitting 53 percent of his shots. Pick him up.

Singler is in a bit of a tumble but he's still managed to hold onto late-round value over the last two weeks, and over the last four games in which he's fallen to just 26.8 mpg he is still a 14-team value. Jonas Jerebko earned more minutes with a 22-point outing on Saturday but had just seven points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes tonight, so it's unclear if he will continue to take from Singler, who was humming along nicely before the timeshare was upon him.

Jonas Jerebko caught fire and finished with 22 points and five 3-pointers for one of the best games of his life and because he was so hot, Singler played his least amount of minutes since Jan. 22. He should bounce back, but it's possible the Pistons give Jerebko more minutes going forward, making this a dicey situation if you need Singler's minutes in a deep league.
