New York Knicks forward Julius Randle had a double-double in Wednesday's win over Atlanta. The Hawks struggled offensively in this one. On the other hand, the Knicks thrived, with Randle being the top contributor. He finished with 34 points, shooting 10-for-19 from the field and 6-for-12 from deep, while adding 17 rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Although the 29-year-old is nowhere near as consistent as he was during the 2020-21 campaign, he remains one of the best fantasy options in the league.

Tue Jul 19 202210:49Knicks Could Move Julius Randle
The New York Knicks are one of the leading candidates to land star Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell. According to Marc Stein, if the team were to acquire Mitchell, they might look to trade forward Julius Randle, potentially in a deal for Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook. Yes, you read that all correctly. And yes, none of it seems to really make much sense. Randle is on a massive contract that has him locked in through the 2025-26 season. Westbrook, meanwhile, is due $47 million this year but his contract expires after the season. In this strange scenario, the Knicks would wind up with a backcourt of Mitchell, Westbrook and Jalen Brunson. We'll consider it a long shot at this point in time, but it's at least out there in the ether.

Thu Jun 30 202211:02Knicks Reportedly Shopping Julius Randle
The New York Knicks have reportedly been shopping around power forward Julius Randle. Fred Katz of The Athletic broke this news and also reported that a deal for Randle is probably unlikely. The 27-year-old is on contract for four more years, including this upcoming season. He's due to make about $24 million in 2022-23. Katz stated that a Randle trade would require another player with an equally-sized contract to be sent back to New York. Randle had the best season of his career in 2020-21, his second season with the Knicks, but he took a big step back last year as he shot just 41.1% from the field and 30.8% from three-point range. In his monster 2020-21 campaign, he shot 45.6% from the field and 41.1% from downtown.

Sat Apr 2 202211:31Julius Randle Expected To Miss Remainder Of 2021-22 Season
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle (quad) has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. Cleveland and is not expected to suit up for the team's four contests over the upcoming week. Randle finishes the year having averaged 20.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game, falling just short of qualifying to be one of just 14 players to average a double-double on points and boards this year. After an All-Star campaign in 2020-21, Randle's production took a step back this season, as he shot a career-low 41.1 percent overall, including 30.8 percent from deep. Obi Toppin is likely to see all of the minutes that he can handle over the team's final five outings, while RJ Barrett steps into the lead offensive option role.

Fri Apr 1 202214:54Julius Randle Ruled Out For Saturday's Game
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle (quad) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Randle is dealing with a right quad injury. The injury caused him to miss three games in late March. He returned to the lineup three games ago, but has certainly struggled since his return, indicating that the injury is still pestering him. With Randle out, Obi Toppin will once again step into some big minutes. Toppin was a solid fantasy contributor the last time Randle was out, averaging 14.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers per game across Randle's last three missed games.

Sat Mar 26 202223:18Julius Randle In Danger Of Missing Another Game
New York Knicks forward Julius Randle (quadriceps) is questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup versus Detroit. Randle has missed his previous three games because of a sore right quad, opening the door for Obi Toppin to take his place in the lineup. Toppin has played well while filling in, averaging 14 points and eight boards, giving him plenty of upside in any fantasy format if Randle misses another one.

Thu Mar 24 202220:43Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson Questionable To Play Friday
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle (quad) and center Mitchell Robinson (back) have been tagged as questionable to suit up for Friday's game vs. Miami. Both were unavailable for Wednesday's victory over the Hornets, which allowed Obi Toppin and Jericho Sims to enter the starting five and play considerably elevated roles. Toppin logged a double-double, while RJ Barrett dropped 30 points, leading the team in scoring for a third straight outing. Randle has been thoroughly held in check by the Heat this season, shooting a combined 7-for-27 over two prior meetings. Robinson's rebounding has allowed him to become essentially matchup-proof, but Miami has yielded the fewest DFS points per game to opposing centers this season.

Wed Mar 23 202217:58Julius Randle To Remain Out On Wednesday
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle (quad) will miss his second consecutive game on Wednesday when the team takes on the Charlotte Hornets. Randle is dealing with right quadricep soreness. Obi Toppin stepped into the starting lineup to take Randle's place on Tuesday. Toppin played 24 minutes in the game and compiled 10 points, seven boards and three assists. Taj Gibson also saw increased action with Randle out on Tuesday, but only managed to rack up five points and five boards over 20 minutes. Toppin might be worth a look for streaming purposes and DFS, but his upside is pretty limited.

Tue Mar 22 202210:14Julius Randle Will Miss Tuesday’s Contest
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle (quad) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks due to right quad soreness. It marks Randle's third absence of the season, and first since Jan. 2. Obi Toppin figures to see elevated minutes without Randle, while RJ Barrett, Evan Fournier, and Alec Burks are all in line for more offensive opportunities against an Atlanta defense that ranks in the bottom five of the league in defensive efficiency. Randle is one of just four players in the league to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds per game this season, as he has been integral to New York's nightly production. His next chance to suit up comes Wednesday vs. Charlotte.

Tue Mar 8 202211:03Julius Randle Erupts For Career-High 46-Point Outing
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle delivered the best scoring performance of his career during Monday's win over the Kings, dropping 46 points on 18-for-31 shooting. Despite an early Knicks deficit, Randle had it all clicking offensively, knocking down eight triples in addition to snagging 10 rebounds, good for his 29th double-double of the year. Coming into play, Randle had been scuffling from the field to the tune of a 33.7% shooting percentage over his last five outings, performances which were quickly wiped away by his myriad ways of finding the bottom of the bucket vs. Sacramento. On the season, Randle now joins just Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo as the only players in the league to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists per contest.

Sat Mar 5 202209:10Julius Randle Dominates Prior To Ejection Friday
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle had his extensive offensive arsenal on display during Friday's loss to Phoenix, collecting 25 points on 9-for-18 shooting across 28 minutes. That production almost assuredly would have increased had Randle not been ejected in the third quarter for shoving the Suns' Cameron Johnson after the two exchanged words; in Randle's absence, RJ Barrett, Alec Burks, and Evan Fournier all took on larger offensive roles. In his time on the floor, Randle also pitched in seven rebounds and four assists. His next matchup comes Sunday vs. the Clippers, whom he went for 24 points and nine boards against back on Jan. 23.

Thu Dec 30 202115:19Julius Randle Placed In COVID-19 Protocols
New York Knicks forward Julius Randle has been placed in the league's health and safety protocols. This a tough blow to the Knicks who are already shorthanded. Now, they will lose one of their best players to protocols. Luckily, Obi Toppin has looked strong lately and appears to be a capable backup. He has been quietly building up his value for some time, but needs to be rostered in most formats while Randle is out. He should see all the minutes he can handle without Randle on the court right now.

Sat Dec 25 202115:12Julius Randle Nails Six Triples During 25-Point Performance
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle has struggled with the three-ball this season, but that wasn't the case on Christmas Day against Atlanta as he went 6-for-9 from downtown during a 25-point effort. Randle shot 9-for-15 overall from the field and completed a double-double with 12 rebounds. He handed out three assists with three turnovers and picked up one steal. Randle has been inconsistent this season, but he's at least found some good scoring rhythm in recent games, going for 20-plus points in six straight outings. A pretty favorable four-game slate next week should help him to keep up the form.

Sat Dec 4 202116:28Julius Randle Posts A 24-7-8 Line In A Losing Effort
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle led the team with 24 points and had seven rebounds with eight assists in Saturday's 113-99 loss to Denver. He made at least half of his shots for a third consecutive game, going 9-for-18 from the field, and Randle committed only one turnover in 35 minutes. The team had an awful time in the matchup, but Randle has been hot lately and managed to maintain his momentum. He will face a vulnerable San Antonio team next. The Spurs are allowing the fifth-most points in the league to power forwards this season, and their rebounding numbers are also far from impressive.

Fri Dec 3 202108:32Julius Randle Posts 30-Point, 12-Rebound Double-Double
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle scored a team-high 30 points and had 12 rebounds and six assists in Thursday's loss to Chicago, shooting 12-for-21 from the field. He swatted away a pair of shots as well and recorded seven turnovers in 39 minutes. The Knicks star has now produced back-to-back good games, which has been rare this season. In theory, Randle should be able to keep his performance levels high on Saturday against the Nuggets, who allow the third-most points per 48 minutes to opposing power forwards this season. The 2021 All-Star also starts next week with a great spot against the Spurs.

Wed Dec 1 202108:03Julius Randle Gets Near A Triple-Double Tuesday Night
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle followed up a couple of poor performances with a near triple-double on Tuesday, finishing a 112-110 loss to the Nets with 24 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. He also had two steals and three turnovers in 40 minutes, shooting 11-for-22 from the field and 2-for-2 at the line. Randle's consistency has been an issue all season, so don't be surprised if he goes cold again on Thursday against Chicago. His season can be perfectly summed up with his performances against the Bulls. Randle recently had a nice 34-point effort in the matchup, but he managed only 13 points on 3-for-11 shooting the first time these teams met this season.
