Basketball is a fast-paced game. While the court's dimensions are smaller than baseball and football fields, there is no room to relax because players must exert effort on offense and defense. NBA's Advanced Stats reveal that LaMelo Ball trumps other ballers in the distance covered, averaging 2.77 miles per game. Fred VanVleet is not far behind at 2.76.Therefore, basketball players must be in good condition to render significant minutes. Conversely, injuries are also a dime a dozen because of the extensive regular season. Failing to stay in shape could mean reduced playing time or an abrupt end to their career. But at some point, Father Time wins, no matter how much a player wants to delay the inevitable.These players have rendered extensive NBA careers but are far from the peak of their capabilities. Sadly, retirement after the 2022-23 season is a strong possibility because they are not steady contributors anymore or hardly step into the court. However, their younger teammates should pick their brains and learn from their limitless wisdom.

Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam scored a game-high 31 points on Wednesday, but the team couldn't scrap out the win as they fell to the Indiana Pacers by four points. The 28-year-old added 10 rebounds, seven assists, and one block while he shot 11-for-17 from the floor and 9-for-11 from the line. Siakam is now ranked 53rd in nine-category leagues which is 24 spots lower than his ADP this year. While he's been amazing for those in points formats, his value elsewhere has left a little to be desired.

This marked his 18th double-double of the season and has put up in the top 60 for nine-category leagues. The primary knocks against him have been his shooting percentages for a power forward and his turnover totals, but neither are bad enough to be alarmed.

The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. These are very much in order of how much they matter. The 28-year-old forward logged 37 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 40 minutes while shooting 15-for-21 from the field and a perfect 3-for-3 from deep. As the team's leader offensively, Siakam's fantasy value should remain high and could even increase with the recent trade talks of teammates Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby.

The star forward scored a new career-high with 52 points on 17-for-25 shooting from the floor, 2-for-6 from beyond the arc, and 16-for-18 from the charity stripe. On top of that, he threw in nine rebounds, seven assists, and one steal. The Raptors as a team may not be consistent, but Siakam is as consistent of a fantasy asset as any manager could hope for.

He also picked up eight rebounds and three steals while registering one turnover in 31 minutes. Siakam had one of his best shooting nights of the season, going 9-for-15 from the floor, and he was perfect with his seven attempts at the foul line. The former All-Star has meant business since returning from a groin injury, averaging 22.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.8 assists with 1.5 steals. His scoring output has improved with each outing and Siakam has a chance to continue the trend Monday against the Celtics.

Toronto Raptors guard Scottie Barnes (knee) and forward Pascal Siakam (groin) will suit up for Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is great news for the Raptors who will finally get to pair these two together in the starting five again. The expectation is that Siakam is going to have a minutes limit during this game. That being said, Barnes and Fred VanVleet will likely be tasked with carrying the load on offense. Juancho Hernangomez and Thaddeus Young should head back to the bench, which will significantly hurt their value. Fantasy managers in season-long formats should make sure they have Barnes and Siakam in their lineups for Monday.
