Mon Apr 10 202315:27P.J. Washington Wants To Stay In Charlotte
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington is set to become a restricted free agent this summer. Although, the 24-year-old said his preference would be to stay in Charlotte. Washington might be looking at a nice contract this offseason after the season he put together. He averaged a career-high 15.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in a career-most 73 games. He missed the final few games of the season due to injury, but was consistent outside of that. Washington averaged 32.6 minutes per game this season, so it won't be easy to replace that if he ends up leaving. However, it sounds like the young forward wants to remain with the team and help build a contender.

Tue Apr 4 202300:09P.J. Washington Won't Suit Up Versus Toronto
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (ankle) won't suit up on Tuesday against Toronto. The 24-year-old tweaked his ankle in Friday's meeting with Chicago and didn't play on Sunday in the first of back-to-back games against the Raptors. JT Thor took his spot in the starting lineup for that one, although he finished with only eight points and two rebounds. On the other hand, Kai Jones had 10 points, five boards, three blocks, and a steal, so he should remain the more enticing DFS option, even if he continues to operate from off the bench.

Sat Apr 1 202323:48P.J. Washington Uncertain For Sunday
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Raptors. The 24-year-old sprained his right ankle during Friday's game versus the Bulls. However, it appears he is trending in the wrong direction, so it's likely he won't be out there. If that's the case, JT Thor, who had 10 points and three rebounds against Chicago, may enter the starting lineup.

Wed Mar 29 202311:03P.J. Washington Scores Career-High 43 Points
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington turned in a new career-high on Tuesday as the team took down the Oklahoma City Thunder by three points. The 24-year-old registered 43 points, six rebounds, five assists, and one steal on 16-for-24 shooting from the floor and 5-for-9 from beyond the arc. Washington just could not be stopped all night long as shown by the fact that he only missed eight of his 24 shots. He's going to continue to get more and more opportunities since the Hornets keep enduring injury after injury.

Mon Mar 27 202309:16P.J. Washington Outsanding Again Sunday
Charlotte Hornets forward/center P.J. Washington had another very strong outing in Sunday's 110-104 win over Dallas, scoring 21 points and adding 12 rebounds with four assists, one steal and one block. That's now back-to-back 20-point efforts for the former Kentucky man, although his efficiency from the field could've been better on Sunday, as Washington finished with a 9-for-22 record, hitting 3-for-8 from downtown. Washington has had a solid campaign with the Hornets, and he's been getting a lot more opportunities offensively in recent games, with a number of players having dropped out of the lineup because of injuries.

Thu Mar 2 202322:24P.J. Washington Not Expected To Play On Friday
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (foot) is considered doubtful ahead of Friday's meeting with the Orlando Magic. This will presumably be his fourth consecutive absence as he works his way back from a strained right foot. In the meantime, JT Thor is expected to remain in the starting lineup. Thor hasn't played well in his three starts during the 2022-23 campaign, recently scoring two points on a rough 1-for-8 shooting effort in Wednesday's loss to the Phoenix Suns. As a result, fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a streaming option.

LeBron James Injury Update

James injured his right foot during the third quarter of Sunday's comeback win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was a tense few seconds after the multi-time MVP clutched his foot after suffering what was deemed a "non-contact injury." The concern grew to greater heights after he was overheard saying, "I heard a pop." Situations like this are never good, as many were concerned that an Achilles tear could be the culprit.https://twitter.com/FanDuelTV/status/1630602449227595777?s=20Yet, after James gathered himself, he tightened his shoe and finished the game, totaling 26 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. Head coach Darvin Ham appeared optimistic while speaking postgame, stating the 38-year-old was "good."However, that couldn't be further from the case, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting that James would "miss an extended period of time" because of the foot injury. Charania later added that the all-time scoring leader would "require multiple opinions."https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1630363560051187712?s=20

LeBron James' Season Recap

Despite James' advanced NBA age, he's still productive. In 47 appearances, he's averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. While his three-point percentage has regressed, that's never been his strong suit.James was also named an All-Star captain while recently passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time scoring leader.https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1623184801284104192?s=20That said, despite some high-level accomplishments, the year has been a rough one for the 2003 No. 1 overall pick. He's battled left foot soreness for nearly the entire season, so much so that he routinely carried some type of injury designation heading into almost all of his games over the last few months.... Tue Feb 28 202317:24P.J. Washington Considered Doubtful For Wednesday
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (foot) has been tagged as doubtful again for their next contest against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. The 24-year-old has missed the last two games with a right foot strain and it looks more than likely that he'll miss at least a third. JT Thor might move into the starting lineup, but he'd be a risky streaming option. Kelly Oubre Jr. and Mark Williams will be in line for a lot of action and should be added to every roster if they're still on the waiver wire.

Mon Feb 27 202318:41P.J. Washington Downgraded To Out
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (foot) has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. This doesn't come as a surprise after Washington was listed as doubtful heading into this game. JT Thor is set to make his second straight start, but he didn't do much on Saturday. He finished with one rebound and one assist in 26 minutes. That being said, fantasy managers should avoid Thor for Monday's slate. Fellow forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is the much better fantasy option after posting 15 points and eight rebounds during his last game.

Sun Feb 26 202318:31P.J. Washington Doubtful To Play Monday
Charlotte Hornets forward/center P.J. Washington (foot) is doubtful to play Monday against the Detroit Pistons. Washington missed Charlotte's last game with a right foot strain and will likely miss a second straight game on Monday. JT Thor got the spot start on Saturday, but did very little in 25 minutes. Mark Williams was the biggest benefactor in Washington's absence, grabbing 20 rebounds in 28 minutes.

Sat Feb 25 202318:59P.J. Washington Officially Out On Saturday
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (foot) has been officially ruled out for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. This doesn't come as a shock considering Washington was listed as doubtful after getting injured during Friday's game. Second-year forward JT Thor will move into the starting five on Saturday. However, it's uncertain what to expect from Thor after he spent most of the season in the G-League. The absence of Washington should mean more minutes for Nick Richards and Kai Jones. Between the three, Richards has the most upside for Saturday's slate.

Sat Feb 25 202318:29P.J. Washington Doubtful For Saturday
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (foot) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. Washington suffered a sprained right foot during Friday's victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. It sounds like he is still dealing with that issue, so the Hornets are likely to play it safe and have Washington sit out on Saturday. His absence would probably mean more minutes for JT Thor who has recently recalled from the G-League. The Hornets are also likely to play small-ball more frequently with Kelly Oubre Jr. during Saturday's game. Oubre would be worth looking at as a streaming choice with extended minutes.

Kyrie Irving's Season Recap

Irving got suspended for an antisemitic social media post, keeping him out of the lineup for eight games. But since then, the 30-year-old stayed out of the limelight, so most had assumed he finally turned things around. He's played well all season, averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 40 appearances.https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1622324668047794177?s=20&t=NTffJ2tRvNpjAA7bddjYHQHe was also selected to the All-Star team for the eighth time in his career. Mon Jan 30 202307:41P.J. Washington Gets Back On Track Sunday
Charlotte Hornets forward/center P.J. Washington broke out of a slump Sunday against Miami, netting 27 points on 11-for-19 shooting in a 122-117 win. Three of his makes came with seven attempts from behind the arc, and he had six rebounds in the game with five assists and one steal. Washington had managed just 21 points in total across the previous three games. Getting some more rebounds out of Washington would be nice, as he averages only 4.5 boards, but it's been a good campaign in general for the 24-year-old, who is getting a career-high 15.1 points per game.

Marcus Smart Injury Update

The Celtics were without Jayson Tatum for Saturday's meeting with Toronto, as the MVP candidate got the day off to deal with wrist soreness. Luckily, the C's recently got Jaylen Brown back from a three-game layoff, so the team at least had its No. 2 scoring option. Boston also had Marcus Smart, who is proficient on both ends of the floor.Unfortunately, the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year's evening didn't last long, as he exited in the first half after suffering a sprained right ankle. Smart has battled ankle injuries throughout his career, so fantasy managers are familiar with this.https://twitter.com/ChrisForsberg_/status/1616933981362028546?s=20&t=ADA6dM_t2muMcgq6cJRitwWhile X-ray results were encouraging, revealing no structural damage, he'll likely miss a game or two, possibly more. LaMelo Ball Injury Update

LaMelo Ball exited Monday's meeting with the Rockets with a sprained left ankle. This is an all too familiar ailment, as the 21-year-old injured it twice already this season. He missed the first 13 games of the 2022-23 campaign because of it before making his season debut on November 12 against Miami.https://twitter.com/HornetsOnBally/status/1615898994508546048?s=20&t=2ONmwk9cIuX1k5z8xOpxsQUnfortunately, the 2020 No. 3 overall pick was incapacitated again after stepping on a fan's foot during a matchup with Indiana just a few days later, keeping him sidelined for an additional 11 games. Fri Dec 16 202217:13P.J. Washington Will Miss Friday’s Game
Charlotte Hornets power forward P.J. Washington (personal) has been ruled out for Friday's contest vs. Atlanta due to an excused personal absence. The game will mark Washington's first missed outing of the year, as he has enjoyed considerable offensive success (career-high 15 PPG) in his full-time return to the starting five. While Charlotte is still waiting to confirm Gordon Hayward's (shoulder) status, Kai Jones and Jalen McDaniels could also be in line for additional frontcourt run without Washington available. The next chance that Washington will have to return to action comes Sunday against the Nuggets.

Sun Oct 30 202209:15P.J. Washington Shines With 31 Points
Charlotte Hornets forward/center P.J. Washington ended up being a surprising leading scorer for the team in Saturday's big clash with the Warriors, shooting 13-for-23 from the field and leading his side to a 120-113 overtime victory with 31 points. Nobody scored more in the game, with Stephen Curry also settling for 31 points. Washington added seven rebounds to his tally with one assist and one steal, while committing only one turnover in 40 minutes of action. The Kentucky product had scored just 61 points across his first five outings of the season, which tells you all about his typical production, although he has got great range for a big man and can certainly rack up the points in a hurry if he gets hot, as proven on Saturday. Washington should be set for another good outing Monday against the Kings if he doesn't cool off. Sacramento is among the paciest teams in the league but also struggles on the defensive end.

Wed Apr 13 202218:54P.J. Washington Eager For Play-In Game

"We don't want to make that happen again," Washington said.
