Tue Dec 7 202120:00Romeo Langford Available For Celtics On Tuesday
Boston Celtics guard Romeo Langford (ankle) is ready to play on Tuesday against the Lakers. He's back after missing Saturday's 145-117 dismantling of the Blazers. The 22-year-old doesn't play a big role for Boston, but with Jaylen Brown (hamstring) unavailable, there's an opportunity to log some more minutes. Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard, who both enjoyed Saturday's blowout win, will have to settle for less playing time with Langford back in the mix and might not even feature at all.

Mon Nov 22 202119:13Romeo Langford Returns For Monday’s Contest
Boston Celtics small forward Romeo Langford (ankle) has been given the green light to suit up for Monday's game against the Rockets. Langford did not miss a game due to a sprained ankle, but he could see an elevated role in Boston's second unit without Josh Richardson (illness) available for the time being. Having scored in double figures just twice in his first 13 games this season, Langford isn't on the fantasy radar quite yet, but he stands to serve as a solid bench piece for the Celtics when given the opportunity.

Mon Oct 25 202118:19Al Horford, Romeo Langford Will Sit Out On Monday
Boston Celtics center Al Horford (groin) and guard Romeo Langford (calf) have been ruled out for Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Horford has a left adductor strain, while Langford is dealing with left calf tightness. Horford's absence means that the team will likely lean more on Grant Williams and Robert Williams III, both of whom are prime targets for DFS on Monday. Horford is off to a solid start to the year. He's posted a double-double in each of the two games he's played. Over those two games, he's averaged 14.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game.

Mon May 10 202119:23Celtics' Jaylen Brown out for season with wrist injury
BOSTON (AP) — Celtics All-Star forward Jaylen Brown will miss the rest of the season with a torn ligament in his left wrist. The team said in a statement Monday that Brown learned of the injury to his scapholunate ligament this past weekend and is expected to have surgery later this week. Brown has missed the Celtics' past three games with a sprained right ankle, which he sustained during a collision with Jayson Tatum late in a 129-119 loss to Portland on May 2. Boston (35-33) has lost two of three since then and entered Monday seventh in the Eastern Conference with four games left. His injury is the latest blow to a team that was hoping to challenge for the conference title a season after losing to Miami in the conference finals. Boston has struggled to find consistency as several key players have either been injured or spent extended time in the league's health and safety protocols. Brown's absence will make it difficult for Boston to avoid the play-in round of the postseason. He appeared... [More]
Wed Mar 10 202119:06Celtics get defensive boost as Smart is cleared to return
BOSTON (AP) — Celtics guard Marcus Smart says he expects to be back on the floor for the first time in more than a month when Boston opens the second half of its schedule at Brooklyn on Thursday night. Smart said he felt good after practicing with the team Wednesday and that he has been cleared to return for the Celtics’ matchup with the Nets after missing the past 18 games with a torn left calf. “As of right now I will be playing and attending the game tomorrow,” he said. Coach Brad Stevens said Smart's return should provide an instant lift. "He's a guy that knows how to play, plays both ends of the court and makes us better on both ends of the court," Stevens said. Boston would have had its full roster available for the first time all season Thursday, but Romeo Langford, who hasn’t played this season following wrist surgery, has been placed in the league’s health and safety protocol and won’t travel with the team to Brooklyn. Stevens said Langford has been cleared to resume playing and... [More]
