Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang and outfielder Sal Frelick are both out of the starting lineup on Wednesday with a left-hander on the mound. Perkins is even more of a DFS long shot at the bottom of the batting order for the Brew Crew. Perkins has four homers while hitting .233 (31-for-133) in 2024.

Joey Wiemer will take his place in left field and hit ninth. Frelick is hitting .267 with no home runs, five RBI, three stolen bases, and 14 runs scored. Frelick is only 2-for-18 since last Saturday. Frelick has 101 plate appearances thus far in 2024, and only eight of those have come against left-handed pitching. This appears to be the case Saturday night. Look for him back in the lineup Sunday afternoon when veteran right-hander Marcus Stroman takes the mound for the Yankees.

The 23-year-old also worked on the infield in spring training and could be an option for the Brew Crew at second or third base on occasion in 2024 given all of the team's outfield options. Frelick isn't a bad DFS play on days he's hitting leadoff against a right-hander.

Frelick hasn't seen much action at the hot corner in Cactus League games, but he's shown in drills in camp that he's gotten more comfortable at the position and is very fluid and smooth drifting to the ball. RotoBaller has Frelick ranked as the No. 65 fantasy outfielder for 2024, but he's going to become more valuable to managers when he gains third base eligibility. It's a move that will make things easier for the team given their crowded outfield picture. The former first-rounder hit .246/.341/.351 with three homers, 24 RBI and seven stolen bases in 57 games in his rookie year in 2023.

The former first-rounder takes his walks and doesn't strike out much, giving him upside as an average and runs contributor atop Milwaukee's lineup.
