RHP Max Scherzer (neck) came off the disabled list to start Monday at home against the Marlins. He had not pitched since an Aug. 13 home game against the San Francisco Giants. Scherzer won his 13th gave as he gave up one run in seven innings. "I thought we did an okay job with him, honestly. We just have to stay in it," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said of Scherzer. "He is not a guy you want to be down five, six runs. We had a couple of times where we had a chance to get a hit and we didn't."
