Logan (elbow) resumed throwing before Tuesday's game, the Associated Press reports.
Logan is eligible to return from the disabled list Thursday, but the Rockies may opt to just wait until Sept. 1 to bring him back so that a corresponding roster move isn't necessary. The lefty reliever hasn't thrived in any capacity this season, allowing a .375 on-base percentage to same-handed hitters, while righty bats have combined to produce a .937 OPS against him.
Fri Aug 14 201517:58Logan placed on DL Friday with elbow inflammation
Logan was placed on the DL Friday with elbow inflammation, Jenny Cavnar of ROOT Sports reports.
The diagnosis certainly sounds troubling, but Logan was likely not being used in many fantasy leagues, as he has a 4.75 ERA and is not saving games. Gonzalez Germen and Ken Roberts were called up from Triple-A to help bolster the Rockies' bullpen.

Logan was able to claim his 17th hold of the season in Monday's win over the Rangers, despite giving up a run on one hit over 0.2 innings.
After retiring Delino DeShields to start the top of the seventh inning, Logan induced a groundout and then yielded a Prince Fielder single before he was pulled when the right-handed part of the Rangers' order came up. As a result, Logan was tagged for the earned run when reliever Tommy Kahnle surrendered a double that allowed Fielder to score. Logan's 17 holds rank eighth in the majors, but because they've come with a 4.97 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP, he hasn't provided much overall value.

Logan picked up his 13th hold of the season in Friday's win over the the Giants after recording one out to end the eighth inning.
Manager Walt Weiss called on the southpaw from the bullpen to retire the lefty-hitting Brandon Belt, and Logan made quick work of the Giants first baseman, tossing four pitches before generating a groundout. Weiss' typical judicious usage of Logan has allowed him to make a team-leading 31 appearances despite covering only 22.1 innings, but the more favorable matchups the reliever has faced hasn't helped his overall numbers. He owns an inexcusable 5.24 ERA and 1.61 WHIP on the season.

Logan gave up two runs on three hits and walk while recording just one out in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Phillies.
The two runs allowed the Phillies to tie the game in the top of the eighth before Nick Hundley bailed Logan out with a solo homer for the Rockies in the bottom half of the inning. Though he's been able to stay healthy after a disastrous first season in Colorado, Logan's performance has suffered in Year 2 due in large part to a .421 BABIP that has inflated his ERA to 5.79. His strikeout (12.1 K/9) and walk (3.8 K/9 rates) remain relatively consistent with what he's shown in the past, so there's a good chance the ERA will show some improvement over time.

Logan picked up his fourth hold of the season in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Giants.
Logan surrendered a solo homer to Matt Duffy that cut the Giants' deficit to two, but he managed to extinguish any rally by generating a strikeout and fielder's choice groundout to finish off the eighth inning. After his first season was marred by injury, Logan looks healthy and effective thus far for the Rockies, posting a 1.80 ERA and 6:1 K:BB ratio over five innings.

Logan will open the season as the Rockies' primary eighth-inning setup man, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
Manager Walt Weiss made the announcement Saturday, while indicating that John Axford and Adam Ottavino will also be in the mix as late-inning options in front of closer LaTroy Hawkins.

Logan indicated that while he's still experiencing a little bit of stiffness in his elbow, he's close to 100 percent healthy heading into spring training, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
General manager Jeff Bridich suggested about a month earlier that Logan was fully healthy following September surgery to remove a bone spur, but it looks like he could be limited in a few drills in the first couple weeks of spring training. It would likely be mostly out of precautionary purposes than anything, as the Rockies certainly aren't of mind to rush Logan back to the mound after arm injuries torpedoed his first season in Denver. The lefty still has two years remaining on his lucrative three-year, $16.6 million deal, and the Rockies are hoping that with better health in 2015, he'll reemerge as a key setup man for closer LaTroy Hawkins.

General manager Jeff Bridich indicated Logan (elbow) is completely healthy, the Denver Post reports.
Logan underwent elbow surgery in September to remove a small bone spur in his left elbow, but appears to be fully recovered. He's in the second year of a three-year deal, and will look for better results than he had in 2014, when he struggled through 35 games, posting a 6.84 ERA and 1.68 WHIP with 32 strikeouts through 25 innings.
Mon Nov 3 201412:39Logan (elbow) reinstated from 60-day disabled list Monday
Logan (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list Monday.
Logan underwent a minor surgery to remove a bone spur in his left elbow in September, but had to be removed from the disabled list as the designation becomes void in the offseason. He should enter the 2015 season healthy after struggling through 25 innings with the Rockies last season, allowing 19 earned runs on 31 hits and 11 walks. His strikeout rate was encouraging, however, with 32 over the 25 inning span.

Logan (elbow) had surgery Thursday to remove a small bone spur in his left elbow.
It was first reported that Logan wouldn't need surgery to fix his elbow, but it appears he decided to undergo a minor procedure anyway. Either way, he is out for the remainder of the season and will start working towards the beginning of next season.

Logan will not require surgery in the offseason to correct his ailing elbow, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Though Logan spent three different stints on the DL as a result of elbow concerns, team trainer Keith Dugger is confident that the lefty is simply dealing with an inflammation issue. Unlike this season, he figures to enter 2015 healthy, but he'll have a lot to prove after delivering a woeful 6.84 ERA over 25 innings, in the first year of three-year, $16.5 million pact.
Mon Sep 1 201414:35Logan (elbow) transferred to 60-day DL on Monday
Logan (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Monday, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
Logan's left elbow flamed up again last week, resulting in another stay on the DL, his fourth this season. His latest setback will indeed end his 2014 campaign, as the team moved him to the 60-day DL on Monday to create room on the 40-man for a September callup.
Wed Aug 27 201417:20Logan (left elbow inflammation) placed on 15-day DL on Wednesday
Logan (left elbow inflammation) was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday.
Logan will head to the disabled list for the fourth time this season, and for the second time due to elbow inflammation. The three-year, $16.5 million contract the Rockies gave to Logan in December looks extremely regrettable, as the lefty has delivered an ugly 6.84 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over 25 innings this season in between his many stints on the DL.
Tue Aug 12 201416:52Logan charged with loss and fourth blown lead of season Monday
Logan was charged with the loss and his fourth blown lead of the season Monday vs. the Padres, allowing two runs while recording two outs in the 4-3 loss.
It's safe to say the Rockies made a profound mistake in gifting Logan a three-year, $16.5 million contract in December. When he hasn't spent time on the disabled list this season, Logan has been hit hard, giving up 28 hits (including six homers) and 15 earned runs over 23 innings.
