Ravin was recalled by the Dodgers on Friday from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

This will be Ravin's third call-up to Los Angeles in 2015, which is standard for a depth arm at this point in his career. The 27-year-old has seen seven rough innings of major league action with a 6.43 ERA and 1.714 WHIP. He's got strikeout stuff though, with a 12.7 K/9 in Triple-A and 11.6 in the majors this year.

Ravin was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

The young righty was optioned Saturday as the Dodgers made a pair of roster moves to clear room for starter Brandon Beachy, who was activated from the 60-day disabled list. Ravin was recalled from Triple-A earlier in the week, but did not make an appearance during his brief stint with the Dodgers.

The 27-year-old right-hander will get a chance to improve upon his 6.43 ERA with the big club in his second stint with Los Angeles this season. Ravin has posted a 1.96 ERA in 23 innings with Oklahoma City this year, with his 13.3 K/9 representing a career-best mark in affiliated ball. His 3.5 BB/9 is also a big improvement on his 5.9 career average.

He gave up two runs in two-thirds of an inning Friday and will now head down to make room for Matt West on the active roster. Although he's struggled with the big club to this point, Ravin has been good at Oklahoma City (2.25 ERA, 1.80 FIP) and will likely get another chance before long.

Ravin allowed one hit and struck out three during two scoreless innings Sunday against the Padres to earn his second win of the season.

The 27-year-old was put in position to win in extra innings after a pair of Dodgers runs in the 12th and Kenley Jansen closed the game out to make it so. Ravin has posted a 2-0 record and a 1.69 ERA through four appearances, but has not yet earned a prominent role in the Dodgers' bullpen and carries little fantasy value at the moment.

Ravin and Daniel Coulombe will come up to bolster a bullpen that was forced to go six innings in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies. The 27-year-old Ravin has posted a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 13.5 K/9 in 14 appearances at Triple-A this season, but it's uncertain how long he'll be up and there's no clear path to high-leverage work.
