Gore (jaw) is hitless in his first four games for Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Gore fractured his jaw earlier in the spring, but he avoided any major procedures and instead elected to play through the discomfort. The 23-year-old is known for his prowess on the basepaths, but he needs to actually reach base for this skill set to be brought to light. He's a career .234 minor league hitter, and has shown little to suggest he'll be productive at the plate at the Major League level. Nonetheless, his utility as a pinch runner will likely earn him another September call-up when the time comes.

Gore (jaw) will "play to tolerance" of pain going forward and will not need his jaw wired shut, MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan reports.
It is good to hear that Gore will be back in action soon after suffering a fractured jaw after getting hit by a pitch. He will spend almost the entire season in the minor leagues, and could once again be called up in September to serve as a pinch runner.

Gore was hit in the face with a pitch in a minor league game and suffered a fractured jaw, MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan reports.
Considering he was going to start the year at High-A, this has very little fantasy impact. While he could be brought up again this September as a pinch runner, his jaw will be fully healed at that point.

Gore was optioned to High-A Wilmington on Sunday, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports Radio reports.
Gore struggled at the plate with High-A Wilmington last season, posting a .218/.284/.258 slash line over 287 plate appearances. He doesn't offer much promise as a prospect, but he should be a useful pinch-runner for the Royals once rosters expand in September. Last season, he recorded two plate appearances and five stolen bases in the majors.

Gore was recalled from Double-A Northwest Arkansas prior to Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports.
Gore made his MLB debut Tuesday as a pinch-runner, a role in which he figures to receive the bulk of his action with the Royals in September. The 23-year-old has shown little polish with the bat during his four-year minor-league career, but with a 47-for-54 success rate on stolen bases this season, he'll give the team some added speed off the bench.
