Mon Feb 20 202320:17Luis Robert Jr. Says He's Healthy
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. (wrist) says he is healthy this spring after spending the winter doing more on-field work and baseball-specific activity in Florida, as opposed to previous offseasons when he just worked out a lot in the batting cages. Part of it was the fact that he had to be game-ready sooner in order to play in the World Baseball Classic in 2023 for Cuba. A bout with COVID-19, vision issues and a wrist injury limited Robert to a career-high 98 games played in 2022. He hit .284/.319/.426 with a .746 OPS, 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and career-high 11 stolen bases. He also had a career-low 19.2% strikeout rate. As manager Pedro Grifol says, Robert has MVP potential if he can ever stay healthy for a full season.

Sat Sep 24 202218:21Luis Robert Headed To IL, Done For Season
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) was placed on the 10-day IL on Saturday with a sprained left wrist. The wrist has been bothering Robert for quite some time, as he originally sprained it on August 12 and has played in only 15 games since then. With the White Sox falling out of the race, they wouldn't want to push their star outfielder in meaningless games. They maintain that the injury in just an issue that needs rest, so he isn't expected to undergo surgery and should be ready to go for next season. Overall, it is another injury-riddled season for the 25-year-old, who has yet to reach 100 games played in any single season. He was good when healthy, although his power numbers didn't quite match up to lofty expectations. He will be a hard player to rank going into next season, as he still has sky-high potential, but injuries and the aforementioned lack of power may hurt his value.

Thu Sep 22 202218:10Luis Robert Out Again Thursday Against Guardians
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert is out of the starting lineup for the second straight day on Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert is limping to the finish line in 2022 and has played in just seven games this month, mostly due to a hand/wrist injury. He's also suffered at the plate when he has played, going 1-for-23 (.044) with no homers, RBI or runs scored and eight strikeouts in 23 plate appearances. Until the 25-year-old shows signs of life, fantasy managers may also want to plant him firmly on their benches. AJ Pollock is getting another start in center field and will bat seventh on Thursday against Guardians right-hander Shane Bieber. Pollock has been pretty solid in September, hitting .278 (20-for-72) with four home runs, 11 RBI, 11 runs and a steal in 19 games.

Wed Sep 21 202216:45Luis Robert Retreats To The Bench
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert is on the bench on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert has been in and out of the lineup (mostly out) with hand/wrist injuries in the month of September, and his production has suffered as a result. He has just one hit in 23 at-bats with eight strikeouts in seven games played in September to drop his season line to .284/.319/.426 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 380 at-bats. The 25-year-old slugger has played just twice in the team's last six games. AJ Pollock will patrol center field and bat seventh on Wednesday against Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie. Pollock has been much hotter at the plate this month, going 20-for-68 (.294) with four homers, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored and a steal in 18 games.

Fri Sep 16 202216:01Luis Robert Missing Another Game
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hand, wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Friday against the Detroit Tigers. Robert continues to be a headache for fantasy managers due to lingering injuries. The 25-year-old will miss a second straight game, but he's had just 14 at-bats in the month of September due to his left hand/wrist injury. When healthy, though, Robert has produced, hitting .291/.327/.437 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 371 at-bats. AJ Pollock will draw another start in center field and hit seventh in the batting order on Friday against Tigers right-hander Matt Manning. Pollock is hitless in his last three games, but he's gone 15-for-50 (.300) with two homers, five RBI, nine runs and a steal in 14 games this month.

Thu Sep 15 202211:27Luis Robert Out Of The Lineup Against Guardians
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hand) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert went 1-for-8 with three strikeouts in two games this week after returning from ongoing hand/wrist issues on Tuesday. He's played in just four games since Aug. 31 because of his injuries and is limping to the finish line in September. The 25-year-old has played well when healthy this year, but he's been in and out of the lineup, making him a frustrating fantasy commodity. Overall, he's batting .291/.327/.437 with 12 homers, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 371 at-bats. AJ Pollock is getting the start in center field and is batting seventh on Thursday against Guardians right-hander Hunter Gaddis.

Tue Sep 13 202216:17Luis Robert Returns On Tuesday
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hand) is back in center field and is batting seventh on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies and right-hander Chad Kuhl. Robert has been sidelined for all but two games in the month of September due to hand and wrist injuries. He hasn't played in a full game since Sept. 5 and hasn't recorded a hit since Aug. 24, going 0-for-11 with three strikeouts in five games since then. The 25-year-old will return to the seventh spot in the lineup as well, which makes him less attractive from a fantasy standpoint. When he's been healthy, Robert has swung the bat well, slashing .295/.331/.444 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 363 at-bats.

Sat Sep 10 202213:18Luis Robert Remains Out For The White Sox
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hand) is still absent from the lineup on Saturday against the Oakland Athletics. The dynamic 25-year-old will miss his fourth straight game after being plunked on the hand on Tuesday against the Mariners. Prior to being struck on the hand, he was dealing with a left wrist injury that kept him in and out of the lineup. He currently has no timetable for his return but fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Thu Sep 8 202218:04Luis Robert On The Bench Against A's
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hand, wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Oakland Athletics. Robert was hit by a pitch on Tuesday and suffered a bruised left hand, so he'll miss his second straight game Thursday. The 25-year-old was dealing with a wrist injury on the same hand before the hit by pitch, so it remains to be seen how quickly he can return to the field. In his absence, Adam Engel is starting in center field and batting ninth on Thursday against A's left-hander JP Sears. Engel does have a little speed (12 stolen bases), but the counting stats and power just aren't there for fantasy managers as a reserve outfielder. He's slashing just .229/.276/.322 with two homers, 14 RBI and 29 runs in 214 at-bats this year.

Wed Sep 7 202215:54Luis Robert Not In The Lineup Wednesday
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hand) is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners. Robert was hit by a pitch in his left hand on Tuesday night, but thankfully X-rays came back negative. Still, it's yet another ailment for the 25-year-old outfielder after he recently returned from a nine-game absence due to a left wrist injury. It sounds as though Robert is day-to-day for now, but given his injury history, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him land on the injured list. Fantasy managers need to prepare for that possibility. With Robert out yet again on Wednesday, AJ Pollock will get the start in center field and bat seventh against Mariners right-hander Luis Castillo. Pollock has produced pedestrian numbers as a part-time outfielder in 2022 and will have a tough DFS draw against Castillo.

Wed Sep 7 202205:45X-Rays Come Back Negative For Luis Robert
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hand) underwent X-rays that returned negative after he left Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners. He was diagnosed with a bruised left hand. The 25-year-old was struck on the left hand by a pitch and was removed in the bottom of the fifth inning during Tuesday's loss. He avoided a significant injury and is considered day-to-day. Robert is slashing .295/.331/.444 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs and 11 stolen bases over 384 plate appearances in 92 games. Robert is questionable for Wednesday's series finale against the Seattle Mariners. Adam Engel would see an uptick in playing time if Robert misses any games.

Mon Sep 5 202216:06Luis Robert Returns Against Mariners
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) is back in center field and is hitting seventh against the Seattle Mariners and left-hander Marco Gonzales on Monday. Robert hasn't played since Aug. 31 and hasn't started since Aug. 25 due to a sore left wrist, and he was also away from the team over the weekend while on the paternity list. The 25-year-old slugger will be less attractive in DFS a little lower in the batting order, but fantasy managers in single-year leagues will want to get him back into their lineups. In 357 at-bats this year, Robert is hitting a strong .300/.336/.451 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 378 plate appearances over 90 games in his third MLB campaign.

Mon Sep 5 202208:41Luis Robert Uncertain For Monday
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) was activated off the paternity leave list on Sunday. Despite that, Robert remained out of the starting lineup for Sunday's contest against the Minnesota Twins. He continues to battle an ongoing wrist injury, so that's probably why he sat out. Robert has been dealing with this wrist problem since August 26. It's uncertain when he'll be ready to get back on the field. It sounds like fantasy managers are going to need to be patient with him.

Sun Sep 4 202213:48Luis Robert Activated From The Paternity List
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert has been activated from the paternity list on Sunday. The 25-year-old was away from the team for a few days for the birth of his child but he's still absent from the starting lineup on Sunday vs. the Twins. He's been bothered by a wrist injury that's kept him out of the lineup since August 25. The team is optimistic that he will start on Monday, however, when the Sox head to Seattle to start a three-game series with the Mariners. Robert owns a solid .300/.336/.451 batting line to go along with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, and 11 stolen bases over 357 at-bats on the year.

Fri Sep 2 202216:34White Sox Put Luis Robert On Paternity List
The Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) on the paternity list on Friday and selected the contract of outfielder Mark Payton from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. The team also moved left-hander Aaron Bummer to the 60-day injured list. Robert left the team on Thursday to be with his pregnant wife, and he's likely to miss another day or two before rejoining the team. The 25-year-old hasn't played since Aug. 25 due to a lingering wrist injury, but perhaps he can rejoin the starting lineup early next week. AJ Pollock has been seeing time in center field with Robert sidelined, and he's gone 11-for-47 (.234) with three home runs, six RBI and seven runs scored in 11 games in the last 14 days.

Thu Sep 1 202216:05Luis Robert Away From The Team
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) has left the team for the birth of his first child, according to interim manager Miguel Cairo. Robert missed his fifth straight game on Thursday and has been sidelined with a sore left wrist, but now he could be away from the team for another couple days while on paternity leave. Cairo doesn't expect the 25-year-old to go on the paternity list, though, so perhaps he'll return to the starting lineup at some point this weekend against the Minnesota Twins. Robert has been a must-start for fantasy managers when healthy in 2022, as he's slashing .300/.336/.451 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 378 plate appearances over 90 games played.

Thu Sep 1 202211:27Luis Robert Remains Out Against Royals
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. Fantasy managers are surely getting antsy now, as Robert hasn't played in a week due to a sore left wrist, although he's made two appearances off the bench. If he's unable to get back into the starting lineup this weekend, it seems likely that he'll head for the injured list, which won't give him much time to make an impact in fantasy the rest of the way. AJ Pollock is getting another start in center field and will hit seventh against Royals right-hander Daniel Mengden on Thursday. Pollack isn't attractive in DFS against right-handers. On the season in 380 at-bats, he's hitting .237/.285/.368 with nine home runs, 43 RBI, 45 runs scored and one steal.

Wed Aug 31 202216:45Luis Robert Still Out Wednesday
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals. Robert will start on the bench for the fifth straight game due to his sore left wrist. He's still day-to-day, but at this point, fantasy managers have to be wondering if he'll land on the injured list. The 25-year-old Cuban is hitting .300/.336/.451 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in his 357 at-bats, so he remains a must-start in fantasy when he's on the field. AJ Pollock is starting in center field on Wednesday and is hitting fifth against Royals left-hander Kris Bubic. Pollock isn't a bad DFS play against the southpaw, as he's hitting .281 (25-for-89) with seven of his eight home runs this season against left-handers.

Tue Aug 30 202218:16Luis Robert Not In The Lineup
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Kansas City Royals. The young outfielder hasn't started a game since last Thursday due to a lingering wrist issue. Although, it sounds like Robert is making steady progress. The hope is that Robert can avoid the injured list and get back into the lineup this week. Until then, Andrew Vaughn, AJ Pollock, and Gavin Sheets are expected to cover the outfield for Chicago.

Fri Aug 26 202218:47Luis Robert Likely To Miss This Weekend
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) will likely miss the entirety of the team's weekend series with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Robert continues to feel pain in his wrist, and after a new scan showed inflammation in the wrist the team decided to shut him down for a few days. Manager Tony La Russa did say that Robert could be available off the bench, which signifies the White Sox don't have plans to put the star center fielder on the IL as of right now. Fantasy managers will want to monitor this situation closely over the weekend to see if Robert will be healthy enough to play next week.
