Uribe left the Sept. 20 game with the injury. X-rays and an MRI were negative, but he didn't play Sept. 21-22. He appeared as a pinch hitter Sept. 23, then sat out Sept. 24. He pinch-hit again Sept. 25 but couldn't complete his at-bat when chest soreness recurred. Uribe subsequently sat out the rest of the regular season and the start of the postseason, but he resumed baseball activities Oct. 18.

Uribe (chest/ribs) has been ruled out of the NLDS, Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal reports.

This designation seemed likely considering Uribe hasn't been able to play much since suffering a chest injury diving for a ball Sept. 20. He hasn't been ruled out for future rounds if the Mets move on, however it's unlikely the 36-year-old will be used as anything more than a pinch-hitter at this point in the season.

Uribe (chest/ribs) is considered "very iffy" for the Mets' divisional series against the Dodgers, ESPN New York reports.

Uribe first suffered damage to cartilage in his chest two weeks ago while diving for a grounder. He then aggravated the injury during a pinch-hitting appearance in Cincinnati Sept. 25. Uribe is still unable to do any baseball activity and is likely to be left off the roster unless he shows material improvement the next few days.

Uribe (chest) has shown "very little" improvement and is seeing a doctor Thursday, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.

It sounds like he will be held out for the remainder of the regular season and this does not sound promising for his availability in the NLDS.

Uribe (chest) isn't expected to play for the rest of the Mets' road trip, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.

Uribe was already expected to miss "a while" because of the injury, but at least this puts a bit better defined timetable on him. With him out, David Wright should see less off days on the road trip.

X-rays came back negative on Uribe's chest, but the veteran third baseman may be out for "a while," Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Uribe aggravated his chest injury during a brief appearance in Friday's game before exiting the contest. His chest injury kept him out of the lineup for four games, and Friday's aggravation of the ailment may keep him out for the remainder of the Mets' series against the Reds. Uribe is suffering from a cartilage issue in his chest, but hopes to resume hitting "in a few days".

Uribe, who saw one at-bat Friday, left the game after aggravating his chest injury, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.

Uribe was initially left out of the lineup for Friday's tilt against the Reds, but came on to replace David Wright. After striking out in his lone at-bat, he left the game due to an aggravation of the chest injury that kept him out of the lineup for four games. With the Mets taking the field Saturday for an afternoon game, it's unlikely that Uribe will be available until at least Sunday.

Uribe (chest) is not in the lineup Friday against the Reds, John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Uribe suffered a chest contusion in Sunday's contest and hasn't returned to the lineup since then. He was able to pinch-hit Wednesday, collecting a hit in his lone at bat, but he'll still be considered day-to-day until he returns to the starting lineup.
