Giants recalled LHP Mike Kickham from Triple-A Fresno.

He'll make a start on Tuesday against the Dodgers in placed of the injured Chad Gaudin. Kickham allowed four runs over just 2 1/3 innings in his major league debut last month and holds a 4.81 ERA and 1.49 WHIP at Triple-A. He can be avoided for fantasy purposes.

Kickham was already struggling with his control tonight, which is why it was such a lousy call for Bruce Bochy to have him intentionally walk Josh Donaldson to load the bases with one out in the third. A walk to Jed Lowrie followed, forcing in a run, and Nate Freiman followed with a single that knocked Kickham out of the game. The Giants probably won't make any rash decisions involving Kickham, even if Bochy can't be happy with how this one went. Kickham doesn't rate as a great play with the Cards next on the schedule, but he could have some value in NL-only leagues while Ryan Vogelsong is out.
