On Wednesday night, Kluber was Kluber again, pitching 7 2/3 innings and allowing two runs on four hits, with 12 strikeouts and one walk. But he still got tagged with the loss. RHP Corey Kluber threw a bullpen session minutes before the game Sunday to check out his right ankle, which he sprained Friday while covering first base in the sixth inning. Indians manager Terry Francona said it went really well with "no restrictions." Francona said Kluber would make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox. Kluber is 12-3 with a 2.67 ERA in 21 starts.

RHP Corey Kluber is scheduled to start Wednesday against the Red Sox, but that is questionable. Kluber left after spraining his right ankle covering first base in the sixth inning Friday against the Royals. "He's a little stiff, which I think is normal, but not more than that," Indians manager Terry Francona said. "So, I think (Kluber) thinks he'll make his start. Kluber struck out 11 and walked one. He has struck out eight or more batters in 12 consecutive starts.
