Chicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal isn't in Thursday's lineup against the Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Alex Cobb. Grandal has been one of fantasy baseball's most productive catchers when healthy this season, especially in leagues where on-base percentage is part of the scoring. The veteran is batting .237 with a .416 on-base percentage and 20 home runs in 311 plate appearances. Zack Collins will start in Grandal's place at catcher and bat eighth against the Angels. You're probably better off looking elsewhere for streaming help. Collins is batting .202 with a .324 on-base percentage, four home runs, and a stolen base in 211 plate appearances this season.

Chicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada isn't starting on Thursday. The White Sox will take on the Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Alex Cobb but will do so with one of their best hitters in Moncada on the bench. The 26-year-old is batting .269 with a .380 on-base percentage, 12 home runs, and three stolen bases in 552 plate appearances this season. Romy Gonzalez will move into the lineup at third base and hit seventh on Thursday. Gonzalez has three hits so far in 16 plate appearances for the White Sox this season. Fantasy managers are probably best off looking elsewhere for streaming help.

Oakland Athletics catcher Yan Gomes is on the bench for Thursday's matchup with the Kansas City Royals and left-handed starter Daniel Lynch. Gomes is batting .255 with a .299 on-base percentage and 13 home runs in 331 plate appearances this season. Instead, it'll be Sean Murphy starting behind the plate against the Royals. Murphy is batting seventh and could be worth a look for fantasy managers in search of streaming help at catcher. In 416 plate appearances this season, the 26-year-old is batting .218 with a .310 on-base percentage and 16 home runs.

Minnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and three RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Indians. Sano enjoyed a strong day at the dish, ripping a 108.2 MPH double before clobbering a 113.7 MPH, three-run homer, his 28th of the year. The slugger is batting just .234 and has struck out 20 times in 47 September at-bats but has great power upside, as evidenced by his five homers during the month. He'll look to keep his strong month going on Friday against the Blue Jays.

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Janson Junk (0-1) put up good results in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Chicago White Sox but didn't factor into the decision. He went 4.1 innings while allowing three hits, no walks, and added two strikeouts. The only run he surrendered came from a Yoan Moncada solo shot in the fourth inning. Junk has made two starts now in his brief career and owns a 2.25 ERA with an 11.8 K% and 2.9 BB%, after sporting a 2.81 ERA with 97 strikeouts over 93 Triple-A innings this year. Junk should be left on the waiver wire, as he's thrown just eight innings in his two starts and probably won't go deep into games for the remainder of the season.

New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored in a 4-3 win over the Orioles Wednesday. Gardner was busy at the dish, singling ad scoring in the third innings, then later driving in a pair with another base hit. The veteran outfielder is batting .325 with two homers, two doubles, a triple, eight RBI, and six runs scored in 40 at-bats in September. He can't be trusted in season-long formats but is a sneaky-good DFS play while he's hitting this well for New York.

Colorado Rockies outfielder Sam Hilliard went 1-for-3 with a single, a run scored, and a strikeout in a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. The Rockies couldn't get a whole lot going on offense against Huascar Ynoa and company but they were able to score enough to win the game. Hilliard and Colton Welker scored all Colorado's runs and collected two of the team's five hits. Hilliard has been up and down all season, which makes his overall numbers hard to look at. He's posted a .195/.275/.433 batting line with 10 home runs, 22 RBI, and two stolen bases over 164 at-bats on the year.

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela took a no-decision on Wednesday when he allowed two runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts over six innings in a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves. Senzatela just continues to quietly roll through the final two months of the season. He's now put up seven straight quality starts and has been on quite a tear, posting a 2.60 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 29:7 K/BB ratio over that seven-game span. He's been in play as a streamer and should continue to be in his next turn against the Dodgers. Overall, the 26-year-old has a 4.06 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 100:29 K/BB ratio over 144 innings (25 starts).

Kansas City Royals first baseman Carlos Santana is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Oakland Athletics, according to MLB.com. Santana has been dreadful with the bat this season, slashing .219/.322/.359 with 19 HRs, 63 RBI, and 63 runs in 141 games. He's only relevant in deep leagues at this point, thanks to his double-digit home run potential. With Santana on the bench, Ryan O'Hearn will head to first base, while Salvador Perez will DH, and Sebastian Rivero will start at catcher. He's appeared in just 13 games this season and has put up poor numbers thus far. He has .464 OPS with no home runs and should be left alone on the waiver wire.

New York Yankees third baseman/shortstop Gio Urshela went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Orioles. Urshela belted a two-run homer in the third inning on a ball that left his bat at 102.6 MPH. After a quiet start to September, Urshela appears to be trending in the right direction, as he's 3-for-7 over his last two games. The 29-year-old is set to see consistent playing time moving forward, with the Yankees making him their starting shortstop down the stretch. The two-position eligibility could make Urshela a nice pick-up down the stretch if his bat starts to come to life.

Oakland Athletics second baseman/designated hitter Jed Lowrie is not in the lineup for Thursday's matchup against the Kansas City Royals. Lowrie is slashing .246/.321/.400 this year with 14 HRs, 68 RBI, and 55 runs over 131 games. However, he has just a .686 OPS off of lefties this season, so with left-hander Daniel Lynch on the hill, it wouldn't be a good matchup. Khris Davis will DH in Lowrie's place and bat fifth. He owns a .613 OPS with two home runs in 31 games this season. Davis is not the slugger he once was and can be left on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Jacob Stallings is not in the starting lineup Thursday to take on the Cincinnati Reds, according to MLB.com. Stallings is slashing .242/.330/.371 with eight home runs over 107 games. His value is mostly limited to NL-only and OBP leagues, with less than ideal power and batting average. Michael Perez will catch and bat seventh. Perez has almost no value in fantasy, hitting just .144 and with a .532 OPS. Look elsewhere for catching help on the waiver wire.

Oakland Athletics second baseman/outfielder Tony Kemp went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, an RBI, and a stolen base in a win over the Royals on Wednesday. Kemp has been a solid player for the A's with a .269/.374/.406 slash line, but he has less value in fantasy as he's been splitting time between second base and left field. Oakland seems to be rotating Kemp, Chad Pinder, and Jed Lowrie with two members of the trio starting on a given day with the third on the bench. Kemp has some value in very deep leagues, but most fantasy managers can disregard the speedy utility man.

New York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman notched his 27th save of the year in Wednesday's victory over the Orioles. It was one of Chapman's easiest innings of the year, as he needed just eight pitches, seven of which went for strikes en route to a pair of punchouts. The hard-throwing lefty has been excellent over his last four appearances, pitching 3 2/3 scoreless frames while racking up seven strikeouts compared to just one walk. It hasn't always been pretty for Chapman this year, but he ranks 10th in saves and fifth in strikeout rate, making him a dependable fantasy closer at the most important time of the year in fantasy baseball.

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tyler Naquin (ribs) is not in the starting lineup for a fourth straight game after exiting Saturday's game early with bruised ribs. He is still day-to-day at this point. Naquin is having a nice year offensively, slashing .270/.333/.477 with 19 HRs, 70 RBI, 52 runs, and five stolen bases over 127 games. Hopefully, he can get back on the field soon without taking a trip to the injured list. Shogo Akiyama will start in center for the second consecutive game. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for outfield help, with Akiyama hitting just .200 with a .523 OPS over 87 games.

Oakland Athletics second baseman Josh Harrison went 2-for-5 with three RBI, a run scored, and a walk in a win over the Royals on Wednesday. Harrison is batting .308 since August 29 which coincides with his promotion to the leadoff spot in the A's batting order. As a result, he's seen his fantasy value increase and Harrison is a start-worthy infielder in mixed leagues as he's got eligibility at multiple positions and has been hot with eight hits in his last eight games. Keep Harrison in fantasy lineups as long as the A's keep penciling him in atop its lineup.

New York Yankees starting pitcher Nestor Cortes Jr. turned in one of the best performances of his career Wednesday against the Orioles. Cortes limited Baltimore to one run on three hits over 6 1/3 innings while striking out a career-high 11 batters. The lefty issued just two walks. Cortes' previous high for punchouts was seven, though he eclipsed that mark after striking out the side in the fourth frame. The lefty primarily used three pitches, his fastball, cutter, and slider, though he generated at least two whiffs on all five offerings he threw. Cortes hasn't had much luck in the win department but has been an excellent fantasy contributor otherwise, pitching to a 2.60 ERA with a 27.3 percent strikeout rate and minuscule .204 expected batting average against in 79 2/3 innings. He's in line for another good outing with a favorable matchup against the Rangers on tap. They own the lowest OPS in all of baseball.

Philadelphia Phillies catcher Andrew Knapp went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a win over the Cubs on Wednesday. Knapp scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the ninth to secure a walk-off win for the Phillies. The veteran backstop has been seeing more playing time lately as J.T. Realmuto (shoulder) has been nursing a shoulder injury and has been seeing time at first base as a result. That means more at-bats for Knapp, though he's still a ways away from being fantasy relevant as he's batting just .160 on the season.

Colorado Rockies outfielder Garrett Hampson is penciled in on the bench for Thursday's matchup against the Atlanta Braves, according to MLB.com. Hampson is slashing .243/.298/.400 this season with 11 HRs and 17 SBs over 135 games. However, he has just a .636 OPS against righties this season, so with righty Ian Anderson on the mound, he'll hit the bench. Outfielder Sam Hilliard will play right field and bat sixth. Hilliard is hitting just .195 but is slugging .433 with 10 HRs in 66 games. He might be worth the stream in hopes that he can show off some of his raw power.

Colorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Atlanta Braves, according to MLB.com. Cron is hitless in his last eight at-bats and will get a chance to rest. He's having a great season with the bat, slashing .269/.367/.525 with 27 HRs, 82 RBI, and 60 runs. Fellow infielder Rio Ruiz will play first and bat seventh. Across 53 games this season, he's batting just .179 with three home runs and two stolen bases. Fantasy managers should stay away from Ruiz as there are better first base options on the wire.
