Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tucker Davidson earned the win against the Minnesota Twins Sunday, throwing six innings and allowing two runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Davidson has pitched in two games, both starts, since coming over from the Atlanta Braves at the trade deadline, giving up eight total runs in 10 innings in those outings. For the season he has a 6.75 ERA and 1.74 WHIP with 14 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings, numbers which keep him well off the fantasy radar despite his expected expanded opportunity with the Angels.

Los Angeles Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani reached base three times on Sunday, going 1-for-2 with two walks, a run scored, and an RBI in a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins. He was also caught stealing, his eighth time against eleven successful thefts. Ohtani has been the only bright spot on this Angels team for some time with Mike Trout sidelined, and the weak lineup around him has surely hurt his fantasy opportunity. Even so, he's a candidate for MVP in the American League with a .254/.349/.499 slash line and 26 homers while also putting together a 2.68 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 157 strikeouts in 111 innings as a pitcher.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton hit his 28th home run of the season Sunday, a two-run shot in the first inning of a 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. Buxton also singled in four at-bats and stole a base, his fifth of the season. With a .250/.339/.577 slash line over his last 15 games with five homers and three steals in that span, Buxton has delivered on his draft-day promise. He's among the premiere players in the fantasy game, and his value only reaches new heights if he continues his recent stretch of stealing bases.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 1-for-4 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles but delivered a big blow in the third inning with a three-run home run. It was his third home run over his past four games. Still, Arozarena only has 15 big flies with a .258/.320/.437 slash line after posting 20 homers and a .274/.356/.459 line a season ago. He's still been great on the basepaths, swiping 21 bags in 108 games. Arozarena will never be the big slugger some thought he would become but could be an annual 20-20 player, and he's giving fantasy managers plenty of value this season as a must-start.

New York Mets infielder Luis Guillorme (leg) was removed early during Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. He came up limping after running around the bases in the fourth inning. Eduardo Escobar came into the contest, but is dealing with a oblique injury himself. This appears to be a precautionary move to get Guillorme out of the contest. Fantasy managers should check back later in the day for another update on his status.

Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Jason Adam was called upon to record the final two outs of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. Starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen nearly threw a perfect game before giving up a double to Jorge Mateo in the ninth inning. Luckily, Adam came in and continued his excellent season by closing the door on the O's. This notched his sixth save of the season in seven chances. Adam holds a 1.19 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 52/9 K/BB ratio across 45 1/3 innings this season. He doesn't offer much fantasy value because he's not the full-time closer. That being said, he can be ignored in most fantasy formats, but is quietly having a fantastic season.

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen was so close to throwing a perfect game during Sunday's contest against the Baltimore Orioles. He retired the first 24 batters before Jorge Mateo doubled to kick off the ninth inning. After that, Rasmussen was lifted from the game, but it was a fantastic effort. The 27-year-old has allowed three or fewer runs in 18 of his 20 starts this season. He didn't get the perfect game, but should continue being a reliable option down the stretch of the season.

Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (undisclosed) was removed during Sunday's game due to an unknown injury. The 28-year-old slipped on the warning track early in the game, but stayed in the contest. He was later removed during the bottom half of the fourth inning for Stephen Piscotty. It's uncertain what is wrong with Laureano, but his removal was likely out of precaution. Fantasy managers should get an update on his status shortly.

San Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell was outstanding during Sunday's matchup against the Washington Nationals. The left-hander went six scoreless innings, allowing three hits, and striking out 10 batters in the win. This marked the fifth start in a row that Snell has allowed one run or less. He currently carries a 3.66 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 105 strikeout across 78 2/3 innings. Snell should be a fantastic fantasy option once again during his next start against this same Nationals team.

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Michael Wacha (shoulder) has been activated from the 15-day injured list on Sunday. He'll make his return after missing a month of action due shoulder inflammation. The 31-year-old will take the mound against the New York Yankees on Sunday. He has been pitching fairly well this season, but the Yankees lineup is not an easy group of hitters to face. That being said, Wacha is going to be a shaky streaming option for Sunday's slate.

Miami Marlins reliever Cole Sulser (lat) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster for recent call-ups Andrew Nardi and Parker Bugg. Sulser has been on the injured list since June 15 with a right lat strain so this procedural move shouldn't affect his timeline to return to the club. The 32-year-old righty owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 26:10 K/BB ratio across 23 1/3 innings (26 appearances) on the season.

Texas Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras is out of the lineup in Sunday's series finale against the Seattle Mariners. The 23-year-old speedster also missed Saturday's contest but it appears he's just getting a few days off after appearing in every game since his call-up back in early June. He's also slashing just .196/.207/.250 over his last 15 contests so a little break couldn't hurt. Overall, Taveras is rocking a .293/.326/.431 with three home runs, 26 RBI, and six stolen bases over 167 at-bats.

Oakland Athletics right-handed pitcher Brent Honeywell Jr. (elbow) will begin a Minor League rehab assignment with Low-A Stockton on Tuesday. The 27-year-old has been out all season with a stress reaction in his right elbow but he's inching his way towards a 2022 debut sometime in September. He pitched in a simulated game on Saturday and will keep progressing in his rehab, barring any setbacks.

Miami Marlins relief pitcher Anthony Bender (elbow) has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow strain. The 27-year-old right-hander threw just five pitches in Saturday's contest against the Braves before exiting early. He missed several months earlier this season with a back issue and has only made six appearances between May 18 and August 13. Bender owns a 3.26 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 17:8 K/BB ratio over just 19 1/3 innings this year. The Marlins should provide an update on him on Monday. Andrew Nardi had his contract selected from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

New York Mets Infielder Eduardo Escobar (oblique) had an MRI on his sore left oblique, which came back clean per beat writer Anthony DiComo. The 33-year-old exited Friday's contest early after injuring his side. Escobar told reporters that he still feels some discomfort when he swings but that he's getting better every day. He should be able to avoid the injured list but he'll likely remain out for a few more games before returning to the lineup.

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb was superb on Saturday, tossing eight-shutout frames in his club's 2-0 win over the Pirates. He struck out nine batters on the evening while walking two and giving up five hits, throwing 99 pitches in the sharp outing. Webb only ran into trouble in the eighth when he loaded the bases with two outs, but he got Ben Gamel to strikeout and end the threat to improve his record to 11-5 on the season. The 25-year-old owns an even 3.00 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with a 124/39 K/BB through 150 IP as he'll look to keep his dominance going in his next start versus the Diamondbacks next week.

New York Yankees reliever Scott Effross closed out his club's 3-2 win over the Red Sox on Saturday, picking up his second save of the year and first with his new club. The 28-year-old made it interesting by allowing a pair of singles, but he ultimately got Xander Bogaerts to pop out to end the game and stranding the tying run at third base. The Yankees have had trouble closing out games recently, but Effross isn't likely to pick up anything close to a lion's share of saves the rest of the way. He has had a nice season by sporting a 2.88 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 55 K through 50 IP, but Clay Holmes or Aroldis Chapman are still better suited for the role despite their struggles.

Texas Rangers reliever Jonathan Hernandez pitched a clean ninth inning on Saturday to close out the team's 7-4 win over the Mariners. The right-hander needed just 10 pitches to retire the side as he's now collected his third save of the season after missing the first half of the year recovering from Tommy-John Surgery that he underwent last April. He's allowed three earned runs over 10 frames so far in 2022 (2.70 ERA) to go along with a fine 1.10 WHIP while lighting up the radar gun with a fastball that can touch triple-digits. Hernandez appears to be the favored closing option in Texas, and should be scooped up for anyone looking to catch up in the save column.

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Andrew Heaney is expected to make his next scheduled start according to manager Dave Roberts after he was lifted from Saturday's contest early. The lefty took a comebacker off his throwing arm in the third inning, but he admitted after the game that nothing tightened up afterwards and the team just wanted to be cautious. Makes sense since Heaney has struggled with injuries and they were up 8-2 at the time of his removal. His next turn up in the rotation will come Thursday against the Brewers, but managers will still want to monitor his availability through the week since the club won't push the 31-year-old if there's any lingering pain.

Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment in Port Charlotte within the next few days as he recovers from a broken hamate bone in his wrist. The 21-year-old underwent surgery in mid-July, so it stands to reason that he'll need at least a week's worth of at-bats to get his swing back up to speed before rejoining the Rays for a playoff push. Through 58 games in 2022, Franco has hit a middling .260 with five homers and 23 RBI, but he would still be a welcomed addition to the Rays and to fantasy rosters during the final stretch of the regular season.
