Sun Jul 2 202311:40Bo Bichette Ends Homerless Drought In Tough Loss
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's back-and-forth tilt with the Boston Red Sox. The 25-year-old was thrown out trying to score the tying run during the ninth inning to unintentionally thwart his own squad's comeback attempt as they fell 7-6. Though, Bichette did halt a 19-game homer-less dry spell with a third-inning blast. The hitting machine is batting .317 with an .857 OPS, 15 homers, 43 RBI, and three stolen bases as Bichette looks to lead the AL in total knocks for the third straight campaign. The lack of running is a bit curious, as Bichette has witnessed a yearly decline in stolen-base rate since 2021.

Fri Jun 23 202316:16Bo Bichette Returns To Face A's
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (thumb) has returned to the starting lineup on Friday against the Oakland Athletics and right-hander James Kaprielian. Bichette is starting at shortstop and hitting in the No. 2 spot in the batting order. He was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to thumb soreness, but he's feeling better after an off day on Thursday. Fantasy managers will want to get the 25-year-old back in all starting lineups. Bichette will be attempting to stretch his current hitting streak to nine games on Friday. During his eight-game hitting streak, he's gone 10-for-32 (.313) with five doubles, three RBI and a run scored in 33 plate appearances.

Wed Jun 21 202312:00Bo Bichette Scratched With Thumb Discomfort
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (thumb) has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Miami Marlins with left-thumb discomfort. We should have more information on Bichette's status later on Wednesday, so fantasy managers will want to check back then. For now, consider the 25-year-old to be day-to-day. With a well-timed off day coming on Thursday, hopefully he'll be able to return on Friday for the start of a series against the Oakland Athletics. Santiago Espinal will replace Bichette at the 6 and hit seventh on Wednesday against Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Bichette has been great this year with a .314 average (101-for-319) with 14 homers, 16 doubles, 46 RBI and 38 runs in 75 games. He leads the league with 101 total hits.

Sun Jun 18 202320:29Bo Bichette Collects Two RBI In Loss To Texas
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 1-for-4 with a two-run double and a walk in an 11-7 loss to the Texas Rangers on Sunday. It was a slugfest on Sunday as both teams combined for 24 hits and 18 runs. Bichette did his part with a two-run double off Jon Gray to plate George Springer and Whit Merrifield in the top of the second inning. He also drew a walk in the contest. It's been a tough go over the last few weeks for the 25-year-old as he's batting just .238 with a .663 OPS but his overall numbers are certainly All-Star worthy. Bichette is slashing .315/.347/.508 with 14 home runs, 46 RBI, and three stolen bases over 311 at-bats.

Thu Jun 1 202319:00Bo Bichette Blasts 12th Home Run Of The Season On Thursday
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in a 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Bichette put the Jays on the board in the bottom of the first inning when he took Freddy Peralta deep for his 12th long ball of the season. It was his only hit of the ball game but it was meaningful in the low-scoring affair. The 25-year-old shortstop has been red-hot over the last seven contests with three home runs and a 1.055 OPS. He's collected at least one hit in 16-of-17 games, including eight multi-hit efforts. The elite shortstop is slashing a ridiculous .332/.368/.533 to go along with 12 home runs, 39 RBI, and two stolen bases over 244 at-bats.

Thu May 18 202315:06Bo Bichette Looks To Increase Hitting Streak To Four Games
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette will look to notch a hit for the fourth straight contest as he takes on New York Yankees left-hander Nestor Cortes Thursday night. There's a good chance he can get it done as the hitting machine has at least one hit in 10 of his last 12 games and he's enjoyed big-time success in his career against Cortes. It's only an 11 plate-appearance sample but Bichette has gone 5-for-10 with a homer, a double, a walk, and a 1.446 OPS in his career against the Yankees southpaw. The 25-year-old has racked up four multi-hit efforts over his last nine contests while his .319 batting average ranks fifth in all of baseball and second in the American League next to the Rays' Yandy Diaz at .321. Bichette should be in his usual two-hole in the series finale Thursday night.

Wed May 10 202321:24Bo Bichette Knocks A Single In Loss
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 1-for-4 with a single in a 2-1 extra-innings loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. Neither team could find much offense in this one, particularly the Jays who totaled just four hits. Bichette picked up one of them, a single, in the low-scoring affair. The 25-year-old star is now working on a modest six-game hitting streak and has his season batting line up to .329/.369/.538 with eight home runs, 24 RBI, and one stolen base over 158 at-bats. He'll look to extend his streak to seven games on Friday when Toronto hosts the Braves for a three-game set.

Tue May 2 202300:32Bo Bichette Delivers Five-Hit Night Monday
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette stayed red hot at the plate in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox. Bichette went 5-for-5 out of the leadoff spot with four singles, a three-run home run, and his first stolen base of the season. The 25-year-old has not delivered on steals but has been fabulous otherwise, slashing .344/.379/.552 with seven HR and 21 RBI. Hopefully, he can get the wheels going, but he should continue to be a high-end fantasy option hitting toward the top of a strong lineup.

Sat Apr 15 202300:46Bo Bichette Has Big Game On Friday
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette had a big game on Friday to help his team hand the Rays their first loss of the season. The 25-year-old had five hits, adding an RBI courtesy of a ground rule double in the second inning. Bichette has played fantastic during the 2023 campaign, and after Friday's win, he's now batting .391 with 10 RBI and four home runs. Without question, fantasy managers had expected this kind of production from Bichette, who will look to keep it going in the remaining two games of the series versus Tampa before Toronto embarks on a six-game road trip for meetings with the Astros and Yankees.

Tue Apr 4 202315:32Bo Bichette Hits First Home Run Of The Season
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette hit his first home run of the season in Monday's 9-5 loss to the Kansas City Royals. Bichette finished the game 2-for-5 with a strikeout and is now hitting .421 (8-for-19) with a double, home run, two RBI and three runs scored in the early going in four games. Surprisingly, his home run on Monday was also the team's first of the year. The 25-year-old is one of the best young shortstops in the game and needs to be in all starting lineups on a daily basis in season-long leagues. In the last two seasons, he has racked up 53 home runs and 38 stolen bases, and he could be looking to run even more in 2023 with the new rules.

Fri Mar 31 202311:59Bo Bichette Picks Up Four Hits On Opening Day
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette got off to a great start on Opening Day on Thursday in the team's 10-9 comeback win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Bichette went 4-for-6 with an RBI, two runs scored and a strikeout in the contest. He and leadoff hitter George Springer combined for nine of the team's 19 hits on the day to start the season. The 25-year-old is one of the elite fantasy shortstops, and he proved it right out of the gates. It could get even better, too, if his stolen base numbers go up in 2023. Bichette needs to be in your starting fantasy lineups on an everyday basis.

Tue Mar 14 202314:55Bo Bichette Goes Off On Monday
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette flexed his muscles at the plate in Monday's 16-3 romp over the Boston Red Sox in Grapefruit League play. Bichette went 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored in the contest, and he's now hitting .393 (11-for-28) with three walks and five strikeouts on the spring. The 25-year-old plans to be more aggressive on the basepaths in 2023, and couple with his offensive abilities at a premium position, he remains extremely attractive to fantasy managers heading into his fifth MLB season. He led the league with 189 hits in 2022 and slashed .290/.333/.469 with an .802 OPS, 24 home runs, 93 RBI, 91 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 697 plate appearances and 159 games for Toronto.

Mon Feb 13 202316:01Bo Bichette Plans To Be More Aggressive On The Bases
Toronto Blue Jays general manager John Schneider said the team wants to be more aggressive on the bases in 2023, and shortstop Bo Bichette echoed that by saying he had already planned on being more aggressive this year, regardless of the new bases and rules. Bichette had 13 stolen bases in 2022 and a career-high 25 thefts in 2021, and fantasy managers certainly wouldn't mind a return to the 20-stolen base mark in 2023. The 24-year-old finished last year on fire at the plate and had a .290/.333/.469 slash line overall with an .802 OPS, 24 home runs, 93 RBI and 91 runs scored in 159 games played. RotoBaller currently has him ranked as the No. 2 fantasy shortstop, behind only Trea Turner. More stolen bases in 2023 would be the icing on the cake for the rising Bichette.

Wed Feb 8 202300:09Blue Jays, Bo Bichette Avoid Arbitration
The Toronto Blue Jays and shortstop Bo Bichette reportedly agreed to terms on a three-year deal Tuesday to avoid arbitration in 2023 and cover his three years of arbitration eligibility, per MLB.com's Keegan Matheson. Details of the deal were not disclosed, but the 24-year-old can become a free agent after the 2025 season. Bichette has been a central part of the Blue Jays team and fantasy lineups, slashing .290/.333/.469 with 24 home runs, 93 RBI, and 13 stolen bases in 2022. He should continue to be one of fantasy baseball's top players for years to come.

Wed Oct 5 202211:07Bo Bichette Sitting In Game 1 Of Doubleheader
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday for Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles. The Blue Jays are just giving the 24-year-old a little breather on the final day of the regular season, and there's a good chance he'll be back in there for the nightcap. He's been great for fantasy managers in his fourth major-league season, hitting .289/.332/.469 with an .802 OPS, a league-leading 188 hits, a league-leading 43 doubles, 24 home runs, 93 RBI, 90 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 158 games. Otto Lopez is starting at the 6 in Game 1 and is hitting eighth against Orioles right-hander Mike Baumann. Lopez will be playing in just his eighth major-league game. He has gone 1-for-2 in the last two years with Toronto.

Tue Sep 6 202200:21Bo Bichette Homers Three Times Monday
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette had a massive day at the plate in Monday's doubleheader against the Orioles. Bichette went 3-for-5 with three singles, two RBI, and a strikeout in Game One's 7-3 win and 3-for-5 with three home runs, five RBI, and a strikeout in Game Two's 8-4 win. The big games helped boost the 24-year-old's season stats to a .272/.315/.451slash line with 21 HR, 78 RBI, and nine steals. While Bichette has been a solid fantasy player, he hasn't delivered quite as much as fantasy players had hoped, although there are still a few more weeks in the season for him to contribute.

Fri Aug 26 202211:05Bo Bichette Records Two Hits In Win Over Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a stolen base, a walk and two strikeouts in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Boston Red Sox. He's been very solid in the month of August, going 22-for-81 (.272) with three home runs, six doubles, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored in 20 games played. The 24-year-old youngster is slashing .261/.301/.424 overall on the season with 17 home runs, 66 RBI, 65 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 529 plate appearances over 121 games. He remains a must-start fantasy shortstop in single-year leagues the rest of the way in a strong Toronto lineup.

Tue Aug 16 202217:05Bo Bichette Hitting Seventh Against Orioles
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is starting at the 6 and hitting seventh in the batting order on Tuesday against Baltimore Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer. This will be just the second time all year that Bichette has hit seventh in the lineup and just the 10th time that he's hit fifth or lower. In 11 games in the month of August, he has gone 12-for-44 (.273) with three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs scored, so it's not as if Bichette has been terrible at the plate lately. Overall, the 24-year-old is hitting .260/.301/.430 with 17 home runs, 64 RBI, 62 runs scored and seven stolen bases in 461 at-bats. Bichette remains a must-start in season-long leagues, but the drop to the seven hole on Tuesday will lower his DFS appeal.

Sat Jul 30 202212:17George Springer, Bo Bichette Return Saturday
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (elbow) and shortstop Bo Bichette (shoulder) are both back in the starting lineup on Saturday against Detroit Tigers right-hander Drew Hutchison. Springer is serving as the designated hitter and batting leadoff, while Bichette is at shortstop while hitting cleanup. Springer and Bichette both missed Friday's loss, but there injuries were never serious and they will both only miss one game. Fantasy managers should return them both to their starting lineups. Springer is hitting. 254 with 18 homers, 47 RBI and 10 stolen bases on the year, while Bichette is hitting .261 with 14 long balls, 53 RBI and seven stolen bases in 410 at-bats.

Fri Jul 29 202216:20Bo Bichette Out With Sore Shoulder
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette (shoulder) collided with outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in left field on Thursday night, and his left shoulder is sore. He's considered day-to-day and is out of the starting lineup on Friday against the Detroit Tigers. Interim manager John Schneider said Bichette is available off the bench, so the injury obviously isn't very serious. With the 24-year-old getting a day off, Santiago Espinal will move to shortstop and hit eighth in the lineup against Tigers right-hander Bryan Garcia, with Cavan Biggio starting at second and leading off. Espinal was a first-time All-Star this year and is hitting .270 with six home runs, 40 RBI, 39 runs scored and five stolen bases in 96 games, but he won't have a ton of upside near the bottom of Toronto's lineup.
