Tue Aug 24 201015:12Reds call up INF Chris Valaika
Reds recalled INF Chris Valaika from Triple-A Louisville.
With Jim Edmonds hurting, the team needed some flexibility. Valaika has played shortstop, second base, and third base at Triple-A, so he can help all over the infield and could probably handle the outfield as well. His value will mostly come from positional abilities, because his power has dropped as he's advanced in the minor leagues, and he's never shown a great ability to take walks. He's not fantasy-relevant for now.
