Storen pitched a perfect 11th inning Wednesday, striking out two, to pick up his 19th save of the season.
He continues to put up extremely impressive numbers, and Storen now has a 1.11 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 32:3 K:BB ratio in 24.1 innings, and he has yet to allow a home run this season. The latter stat could be due for some regression, given that he's got a career-low 0.77 GB/FB ratio, but as long as he continues to dominate the strike zone, Storen should remain an elite closing option.

Storen allowed one run on two hits while striking out a pair as he finished off a 7-5 against the Cubs on Friday night to record his 18th save.
Now 18-for-19 in save opportunities, Storen has allowed just 16 hits and three walks while striking out 30 in 23.1 innings, which equates to him being an elite closer on a very good team that figures to win a lot of games this season. Enjoy.

Storen picked up his 16th save of the season in Wednesday's victory over the Cubs.
Storen allowed a hit in Wednesday's game, but that was just the sixth he has given up in 12.1 innings this month. He has also posted a 16:0 K:BB ratio in May and owns a 27:3 mark on the season. Expect him to continue seeing plenty of save opportunities for a Nationals squad that is 18-6 since the beginning of May.

Storen gave up one hit and struck out two in a scoreless inning Sunday to notch his 14th save of the season.
He hasn't given up an earned run in over a month, and Storen now has a 0.93 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB ratio in 19.1 innings. With Casey Janssen off the DL and shoring up the eighth inning, the back of the Nationals' bullpen appears to be in very good hands.

Storen lucked into a save Saturday having to record just one out in the 4-1 win over San Diego.
Storen appeared as though he was getting the night off until Aaron Barrett allowed two baserunners and a run to score in the ninth, which ultimately gave Storen the call for the save.

Storen struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning Sunday to notch his ninth save of the season.
He continues to excel as the Nationals' closer. After pitching on back-to-back days, however, don't be surprised if Aaron Barrett or Tanner Roark get the nod on Monday instead of Storen if a save situation arises for the Nats.

Storen picked up his first win of the season Saturday, tossing a perfect inning in a tie game before Bryce Harper ended it with a walkoff home run in the bottom of the ninth.
While the Nats have had trouble finding pitchers who can be consistent set-up men for him, Storen has been a rock as the team's closer and now sports a 1.38 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB ratio in 13 innings to go along with eight saves in nine chances.

Storen gave up a single and hit Donovan Solano with a pitch, but then settled down and struck out Giancarlo Stanton and Marcell Ozuna to close out Wednesday's win and earn his eighth save of the season.
He's now got a nifty 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB ratio in 12 innings. Storen remains one of the better second-tier closer options in the league.

Storen worked a perfect ninth inning on Sunday to notch his seventh save of the season.
He doesn't have dominant raw stuff, but Storen can generate a lot of weak contact, and his 1.64 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB ratio through 11 innings have made him one of the best closing options in the NL through the first weeks of the season.

Storen struck out a pair, but allowed one run on two hits in the ninth inning Tuesday night for his first blown save of the season.
After surrendering a leadoff single to Matt Carpenter, Storen threw a wild pitch that allowed Carpenter to advance to second. He struck out Jason Heyward, but Carpenter was able to advance to third base, which led to an RBI single from Matt Holliday to tie the game. Storen is now 4-for-5 in save opportunities to begin the season, while he's allowed two runs over six innings through six appearances.

Storen gave up two hits during a scoreless ninth inning en route to his fourth save of the season on Sunday against the Phillies.
The veteran has stepped comfortably into the full-time closer's role this season, going 4-for-4 in save opportunities while posting a 1.80 ERA thus far. Storen isn't piling up the strikeouts, but should be considered a very reliable fantasy relief pitcher moving forward.

Storen struggled on Sunday, allowing a run on a hit and two walks in the 10th inning, but still escaped the game with his second save of the season.
It will take a lot more than a single hiccup for Storen to lose his spot as the Nationals' closer, especially with Tyler Clippard now in Oakland and Casey Janssen (shoulder) on the DL, so Storen's fantasy owners shouldn't worry just yet. He still figures to be a solid source of saves this season.

Storen picked up his first save of the year Wednesday, tossing a perfect ninth with two strikeouts against the Mets.
Fantasy owners should be mindful that Storen has been suffering from a foot blister and isn't ready to pitch on back-to-back days. That means someone else in the Washington bullpen -- Aaron Barrett or Blake Treinen, most likely -- could be called upon if there's a save chance Thursday.

He's healed up enough to pitch Saturday, and should be available as needed on Opening Day after leaving Monday's outing with the minor ailment.

Storen doesn't expect the blister on his right foot to affect his status for Opening Day, James Wagner of the Washington Post reports.
Storen may be limited for the remainder of Grapefruit League play while he waits for the blister to heal up, but it doesn't look like he's in any danger of opening the season on the disabled list. After displacing Rafael Soriano as the closer down the stretch last season and finishing with a 1.12 ERA and 0.97 WHIP over 56.1 innings, Storen looks to be locked in as the Nats' ninth-inning man in 2015.
Mon Mar 30 201517:18Storen left Monday's game due to toe blister
Storen left Monday's game due to a toe blister, the Washington Post reports.
Storen's fantasy owners can now exhale. He only got to face four batters on Monday however, recording two outs, and given the limited work he's gotten this spring due to the previous surgery on his non-throwing hand, it's possible Nats manager Matt Williams may need to look for someone else to handle any save chances during the first week of the regular season.
Mon Mar 30 201515:41Storen exited Monday's game after facing only two batters
Storen exited Monday's game after facing only two batters, CSN Washington reports.
Storen entered to pitch in the bottom of the sixth inning but walked off the field with a trainer after sustained what appeared to be some sort of injury. At this point, it's unclear what led to the early exit, but more information will certainly be available in the near future. Storen was making his second Grapefruit League appearance of the spring after sitting out two weeks following hand surgery.

After a successful return to the mound Friday following surgery on his non-throwing hand, Nationals manager Matt Williams wants to get Storen three or four more innings of work this spring, the Washington Post reports.
Storen had to cover first base on a ground ball to first baseman Mike Carp and had no trouble with Carp's toss, so he's already passed one of the biggest tests. Expect him to be ready to handle ninth inning duties for the Nats by Opening Day.
