Jackson was reassigned to extended spring training Wednesday, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
The No. 6 overall pick in the 2014 draft got off to a miserable start after an aggressive assignment to full-season ball this season. He was slashing .157/.240/.213 in 121 plate appearances at Low-A while striking out at a 28.9 percent clip. Even with the slow start to his professional career, Jackson's timetable has not changed much, as there should have been zero expectations of him reaching the big leagues before 2018 with a more realistic ETA of 2019.

Jackson, 19, is off to a slow start to the season with Low-A Clinton, slashing .159/.239/.222 over 71 plate appearances.
Through his limited professional action since being drafted sixth overall in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft, Jackson has yet to consistently demonstrate the elite power that made him an attractive target in dynasty formats. A .217 BABIP thus far has depressed Jackson's batting average, but that's probably not a valid excuse for his meager .063 ISO. Fortunately, Jackson is young enough for his level to not get overly worried about the early-season sample, though a demotion could be in store if his struggles persist over the next few weeks.
