Sat Sep 11 202109:13Julio Urias Goes Seven Scoreless, Wins 17th Game
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias spun seven scoreless innings during a 3-0 victory over the San Diego Padres on Friday. The 24-year-old was brilliant, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out seven across 94 pitches. The left-hander earned his major league-leading 17th win and has a 2.98 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and 175 strikeouts across 163 1/3 innings pitched. On regular rest, Urias is slated to take the ball next Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, the Dodgers could elect to give Urias extra rest, presenting a potential Friday tilt against the Cincinnati Reds. Regardless, the Dodgers lefty has proven to be matchup proof and should be deployed with confidence against any team.

Sun Sep 5 202109:24Julio Urias Improves To 16-3
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias improved to 16-3 with Saturday's victory versus the San Francisco Giants. Urias tossed 5 2/3 innings and allowed eight hits, one run, zero walks and struck out eight on the evening. The eight hits weren't ideal, but that was the only flaw for the talented lefty. Urias has really come into his own this year and now owns a 3.11 ERA. Next up for Urias will be a matchup versus the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. Managers should continue to start Urias with confidence moving forward.

Wed Aug 25 202108:20Julio Urias Shines In Return
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias performed well in his return from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday versus the San Diego Padres. The lefty went five innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, two walks and struck out four on the evening. He was yanked early with only 74 pitches, but the most important part is that his left calf didn't cause him any setbacks and he looked healthy. Urias has been having an impressive season and Tuesday's victory improved his record to 14-3 and lowered his ERA to 3.14. The southpaw will look for his 15th victory on Sunday in a favorable matchup against the Colorado Rockies in a home matchup.

Sun Aug 22 202117:03Julio Urias "Trending" Towards Starting Tuesday
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias (calf) looks to be in line to be activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Manager Dave Roberts said that Urias is "trending" towards making his next start on Tuesday against the Padres after being sidelined since last Saturday with a left calf contusion. Urias has gone 13-3 with a 3.29 ERA, 1.067 WHIP and 26.4 percent strikeout rate over 139 2/3 innings of work, and managers should slot him back into their lineup as soon as he's activated.

Wed Aug 18 202121:58Julio Urias Throws Simulated Game, Could Be Activated Tuesday
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias (calf) threw a simulated game on Wednesday. All reportedly went well with his simulated game, and Urias could be activated from the 10-day injured list next Tuesday. The southpaw has been terrific in 2021, owning a (13-3) record along with a 3.29 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 149 strikeouts across 139 2/3 innings. Urias would face the San Diego Padres if activated ahead of Tuesday's game. The 25-year-old allowed six earned runs and four walks while striking out five across four innings in his previous appearance against the Padres this season.

Fri Aug 13 202123:38Julio Urias Performs Well In No-Decision
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias went five innings in Friday's no-decision versus the New York Mets. Urias looked great on the evening and allowed two hits, zero runs, two walks and struck out five. Urias only threw 82 pitches and was pinch-hit for in the bottom of the fifth inning. Urias continues to have a strong season, but he has now gone four straight starts with under six innings pitched and that hurts managers in leagues that count quality starts. Despite that, Urias has been very useful for managers and is 13-3 with a 3.29 ERA. Urias will look to continue his impressive season versus the Pittsburgh Pirates in a very favorable matchup on Wednesday.

Sun Aug 8 202108:26Julio Urias Goes Five Innings In No-Decision
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias earned a no-decisions in Saturday's contest versus the Los Angeles Angels. Urias went five innings and allowed six hits, three runs (two earned), three walks and struck out five. All of the damage against Urias came in the top of the third inning and he would throw 95 pitches on the evening. It wasn't his best start of the season, but Urias has been putting together a good year on the mound. Urias is 13-3 and will carry a 3.41 ERA into his next start of the season versus the New York Mets on Friday.

Sun Aug 1 202119:38Julio Urias Earns 13th Victory
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias put together another strong start in Sunday's victory versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Dodgers offense exploded versus the Diamondbacks and Urias was only needed for five innings. During that span, Urias threw 83 pitches and allowed four hits, zero runs, zero walks and struck out seven. The lefty continues to produce at a high level for the Dodgers and is now 13-3 with a healthy 3.40 ERA. Urias has the benefit of getting plenty of run support and managers should continue to see him racking up victories with the way he has performed this season. Urias will be back on the bump on Sunday versus the Los Angeles Angels and should be started in all formats.

Wed Jul 28 202100:41Julio Urias Earns No-Decision
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias fell one out short of a quality start in Tuesday's no-decision versus the San Francisco Giants. Urias went 5 2/3 innings and allowed six hits, one run, zero walks and struck out five. The lefty has been having a very strong season for the Dodgers and fantasy managers and is 12-3 with a 3.54 ERA. Urias will look to continue his success versus a weak Arizona Diamondbacks offense on Sunday. He remains worthy of starting in all matchups moving forward.

Mon May 3 202100:03Pete Alonso helps Mets top Phillies for wild 8-7 win
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Pete Alonso capped New York’s six-run eighth inning with a three-run double, and the Mets used a defensive meltdown by Philadelphia and a replay reversal to beat the Phillies 8-7 on Sunday night. Michael Conforto snapped a tie with a bases-loaded walk against José Alvarado, driving in Jose Peraza, and Alonso followed with a liner off David Hale that split the gap in right-center for an 8-4 lead. Philadelphia got a run back in the ninth on Roman Quinn’s RBI triple. After a Matt Joyce walk, Rhys Hoskins hit an opposite-field drive off Edwin Díaz that was initially ruled a tying three-run homer first base umpire Jose Navas. A replay review showed the ball hit the top railing of the fence on the out-of-town scoreboard in right, never clearing the wall itself. Hoskins was placed at second with a two-run double. Díaz then departed with an injury and Jeurys Familia struck out Bryce Harper on a high fastball, earning his first save. Didi Gregorius and Andrew McCutchen homered for... [More]
