Milwaukee Brewers pitchers Adrian Houser and Jandel Gustave have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Gustave had already been in quarantine as a possible close contact, but has now officially tested positive. Houser had just tossed 6 1/3 hitless innings on Tuesday against the Pirates in an 8-5 loss. Managers should expect both to be out for a while, and check back for updates to see who will replace them on Milwaukee's roster.

He did not factor into the decision. Houser held the Pirates without a hit, but he struggled with his command and was pulled after 104 pitches. He primarily remained out of danger by generating 10 groundball outs. Though Houser has not allowed an earned run across his last 13 1/3 innings, he has only eight strikeouts and walked six in that span. If he hopes to maintain his strong results, he'll likely need to improve on those peripherals -- particularly against stronger offenses. For the season, Houser has a 3.55 ERA with 80 strikeouts and 48 walks across 104 innings but in the month of July, he has been keeping opposing teams in check.
