Mon Jul 25 202223:19Aaron Ashby Takes Hard-Luck Loss
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Aaron Ashby was sharp Monday night, throwing seven innings and allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out nine batters against the Colorado Rockies. He was left with the tough-luck loss when the Brewers offense couldn't muster a single run. Ashby's record for the season drops to an unsightly 2-8 with this decision, though he has deserved better with a 4.38 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 92 strikeouts in 76 innings. Even those rate statistics are worse than Ashby could expect, and fantasy managers should feel confident going forward.

Sat Jul 2 202212:58Aaron Ashby Activated Ahead Of Saturday's Start
The Milwaukee Brewers have activated left-hander Aaron Ashby (forearm) from the 15-day injured list. He will be the team's starting pitcher for Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. To clear a roster spot for Ashby, relief pitcher Trevor Kelley was sent to Triple-A. Ashby has made 14 appearances (eight starts) this year and he's gone 1-5 with a 4.25 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP. Despite those underwhelming numbers, he has some impressive underlying stats such as a 30.9% hard-hit rate (92nd percentile) and a 3.03 xERA. He wound up spending the minimum 15 days on the injured list due to left forearm inflammation. He's a bit of a risky start in his return Saturday, but the favorable matchup against the Pirates makes him worth considering.

Thu Jun 30 202219:03Aaron Ashby Lined Up To Start Saturday
Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby (forearm) is lined up to be activated from the injured list and start on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ashby had a successful bullpen session on Wednesday and apparently won't need to go on a minor league rehab assignment before returning to Milwaukee's rotation. It will be a nice matchup for the 24-year-old southpaw, but Ashby will still be a risky fantasy streamer. He is 1-5 overall with a 4.25 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 67 strikeouts and 26 walks in 55 innings over 14 games (eight starts), and he surrendered 14 earned runs on 23 hits while walking four and striking out 16 in 15 innings in his three starts in June.

Thu Jun 23 202214:18Aaron Ashby Scheduled To Throw Bullpen Saturday
Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby (forearm) said he's feeling great and is tentatively scheduled for a touch-and-feel bullpen session on Saturday. Ashby was placed on the injured list on Monday with left forearm inflammation, but the injury isn't believed to be very serious. If that's indeed the case, the 24-year-old southpaw may miss the minimum 15 days on the injured list and return to Milwaukee's rotation sooner than later. Ashby has been better as a reliever than a starter this year, and overall he's 1-5 with a 4.25 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP while striking out 67 and walking 26 in 55 innings over 14 outings (eight starts) in just his second major league season.

Wed May 4 202221:41Aaron Ashby Scheduled To Start Sunday Vs. Atlanta
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Aaron Ashby is scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The 23-year-old appeared from the bullpen in long relief behind starter Brandon Woodruff in Tuesday's contest against the Reds. He will rejoin the starting rotation for the weekend series against the Braves. The southpaw owns a 2.33 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and a 23:13 K: BB across 19 1/3 innings in 2022. This season, Ashby continues to shift between starter and reliever, but fantasy managers can use him as a streamer for Sunday's main slate.

Tue Aug 10 202111:00Aaron Ashby Gets The Nod On Tuesday
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Aaron Ashby will take the mound for Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Chicago Cubs. He struggled in an outing versus the Cubs during the meeting in June. Ashby has been decent in Triple-A posting a 4.48 ERA and 98/32 K/BB ratio over 62 1/3 innings. The Cubs don't have anywhere near the same type of lineup that they did in June. Ashby should perform much better in this one and could be a possible streaming option.
