He dealt with a foot issue earlier in the spring, but now appears good to go moving forward. Eibner left Saturday's Cactus League game against the White Sox with a bruised left foot, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports.
The Royals are saying Eibner was removed strictly for precautionary reasons, but consider him day-to-day until he actually returns to the field. Prior to exiting, Eibner hit his third home run of the spring, raising his average to .542. However, he isn't on the 40-man roster and it seems likely he will head to Triple-A to start the year.
