Though he did not show his best stuff Sunday, Givens has settled in nicely as a useful bullpen arm with the Orioles since being recalled in August. The Orioles will have a number of players leave in free agency this winter, which could open the door for Givens as a setup man as soon as next season.

Givens will return from Double-A Bowie in advance of Monday's game, taking the spot of Chaz Roe, who will be placed on the DL, MASN reports.

The team is yet to reveal the nature of Roe's injury, but Givens is already with the team in Seattle, indicating that he'll fill the vacant roster spot. Roe was optioned to Bowie just last Thursday, but he'll be allowed to return before the minimum 10 days due to the fact that he's replacing an injured player. Givens has not allowed a run in three appearances (four innings) for the Orioles, and he's 4-2 with a 1.73 ERA in 35 games (57.1 innings) at Bowie.

Givens was optioned to Double-A Bowie on Thursday.

The Orioles activated right-hander Jason Garcia from the DL on Thursday, so Givens will head back to Double-A to clear a roster spot. Givens, who has been stellar at Double-A this season, has now spent two stints with the Orioles, pitching a cumulative four innings and allowing just one hit while striking out six with no walks.

Givens was recalled from Double-A Bowie on Friday.

The right-hander may get an extended look in his second major league stint, after posting a 1.79 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 77:16 K:BB and 14 saves in 55.1 innings with Bowie. Givens, 25, profiles as a strong back-end arm in time -- he can dial it in consistently at around 94 mph, and also throws a slider and a changeup -- but he figures to start out in the middle innings.

Givens was optioned to Double-A Bowie on Thursday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.

Givens made one appearance during his brief stint with the Orioles, tossing a scoreless frame against the Red Sox on Wednesday. A promotion to Triple-A could be in the offing for Givens, but for now he'll return to Double-A Bowie, where he has a 1.60 ERA over 39.1 innings of work.

The shortstop-turned-pitcher has been electric at Double-A with a 1.60 ERA over 39.1 innings of work. He has a mid-90s fastball with a three-quarter arm slot delivery. Givens will add right-handed depth to Baltimore's bullpen.

Givens has dominated Double-A in the first two months of the season and the Orioles may bypass Triple-A and call him up at some point this summer, according to MASN Sports.

Givens has converted 10-of-11 save opportunities and possesses a 1.21 ERA and 0.98 WHIP this season. After being promoted to Double-A midway through the 2014 season, Givens walked 23 and struck out 28 in 25.1 innings. This year, the walks have gone away and the strikeouts are on the rise, as Givens has 42 strikeouts and nine walks in 29.2 innings. Givens was converted from shortstop to reliever in 2013 and there may not be much else he needs to do to be promoted, either to Triple-A or to the Orioles.
