Campbell played the entire first half of the Bengals' preseason finale, going 13-for-16 for 123 yards against the Colts' backups.
Campbell suffered an elbow injury earlier in the preseason, so while the results don't really matter all that much, it's clear he's healthy and ready to be Andy Dalton's backup for the start of the season.

Campbell (elbow) will likely play in Sunday's third preseason game at Arizona, the Bengals' official site reports.
Campbell sat out last week after injuring the elbow in the first preseason game, but has been working out this week.
Mon Aug 18 201415:58Campbell (elbow) going to try to throw this week
Campbell (elbow) is going to try to throw this week, since the swelling in his elbow has slightly subsided, the Bengals' official website reports.
Campbell admitted that he couldn't have played last Saturday, even if the Bengals had been scheduled for a regular season game. The veteran quarterback's elbow has been swollen in recent days, so team doctors are waiting for that to improve before taking the next step in Campbell's return. On that note, Campbell reportedly felt better Monday, so some throwing exercises could occur later this week. In any event, Campbell figures to keep Cincinnati's back-up position whenever he returns.

Campbell sat out Saturday's preseason game against the Jets with a bruised elbow.
With Campbell out, the Bengals' reserves were led by Matt Scott and Tyler Wilson, who both predictably struggled. Assuming he's healthy for the start of the season, Campbell's backup job isn't in jeopardy.
Sat Aug 9 201414:02Jason Campbell: Injured Shoulder Thursday
Campbell injured the shoulder on his throwing arm during Thursday's preseason defeat at the hands of the Chiefs, the Bengals' official site reports.
Test results haven't revealed the severity of the injury, but Campbell's status for Bengals' upcoming preseason tilt next Saturday against the Jets is in flux. As a result, with two of the Bengals' four signal callers now injured -- also, rookie AJ McCarron (shoulder) -- the team added Tyler Wilson on Saturday to shore up their bases. When the QB corps is healthy, though, Campbell, the veteran, is the clear backup to Andy Dalton.
Thu Mar 20 201415:08Bengals OC: Campbell not a threat to Dalton
Speaking Thursday, Bengals OC Hue Jackson made it clear new backup Jason Campbell isn't a threat to Andy Dalton's starting job.
"In no way is (Campbell) supplanting Andy Dalton," Jackson said. "I like our quarterback. ... But Jason is a veteran guy who has played in a lot of offenses and has won a lot of games. I think he can help Andy with some of the knowledge that he's picked up." Dalton has been far from perfect in his three years on the job in Cincinnati, but will continue to have a long leash. Only injury could force Campbell into the lineup.

Wed Mar 19 201420:40Bengals interested in veteran QB Campbell
The Bengals are reportedly in talks to acquire free agent QB Jason Campbell.
Campbell to the Bengals makes some sense. The 32-year-old Campbell had his best success in the NFL under Bengals' OC Hue Jackson while both were in Oakland, and Cincinnati needs a solid, veteran backup behind Andy Dalton. Campbell posted an 11:8 TD-to-INT ratio in eight starts in 2013.

Wed Mar 12 201416:28Reset: Browns cut QB Campbell after Weeden
Browns released QB Jason Campbell.
Campbell was owed a $250,000 roster bonus on Thursday, but was never expected to be retained. He joins former teammate Brandon Weeden on the unemployment line. The moves are a clear sign the Browns are targeting a quarterback in the first round of May's draft, though for now Brian Hoyer sits alone atop the depth chart. Campbell and his long release were surprisingly effective at times in 2013, but were heavily managed and manipulated by OC Norv Turner. Nevertheless, he vaults to the near the top of a pitiful quarterback market.

Sun Mar 9 201419:06Jason Campbell owed $250,000 roster bonus
Jason Campbell is owed a $250,000 roster bonus on Thursday.
He's going to be released before then. Once Campbell hits the market, he'll join Michael Vick, Josh McCown, Josh Freeman, and Shaun Hill as a top-five free agent quarterback, although that isn't saying a whole lot. Campbell finished the 2013 season with an 11:8 TD-to-INT ratio across eight starts.

Tue Jan 21 201409:23Browns expected to release Jason Campbell
ESPN Cleveland fully expects the Browns to release Jason Campbell.
Campbell, 32, triggered an escalator in his contract because he played 45 percent of the snaps this past season and is now due $3.25 million in 2014. Beat writer Tony Grossi believes that's far too high a price to pay for a guy who was 1-7 as a starter and complained about the cold weather. Campbell and Brandon Weeden are expected to get pink slips this offseason, while Brian Hoyer (ACL surgery) should return to join an early-round draft pick at quarterback.

Sun Dec 29 201316:10Jason Campbell has off day as Browns fall
Jason Campbell completed 23-of-41 passes for 240 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Cleveland's 20-7, Week 17 loss to the Steelers.
Campbell also lost a fumble, and took three sacks. As has been the case throughout much of his career, he made a habit of holding onto the ball for too long. Although Campbell proved to be a far-superior option to Brandon Weeden this season, he's still someone who needs to be managed and manipulated to succeed. Things would have been far uglier had he not had the league's leading receiver in Josh Gordon to throw the ball up to. Nevertheless, he showed more than enough to be back for 2014, where he'll earn an affordable $2 million. Campbell will be a backup, either to a rookie or Brian Hoyer.

Tue Dec 24 201311:04Jason Campbell will start again for Browns
Jason Campbell will start Sunday's Week 17 game against the Steelers.
Brandon Weeden will be the backup and Alex Tanney will be the third-stringer once again. Coach Rob Chudzinski has no interest in giving someone else a chance even though Campbell has gone 41-of-79 (51.8 percent) for 451 yards with one touchdown and four interceptions in the last two games. He'd be a poor QB2 bet against a Steelers team with an outside shot at making the playoffs.

Sun Dec 8 201319:27Campbell throws for 391 yards, 3 TDs in loss
Jason Campbell completed 29-of-44 passes for 391 yards and three touchdowns in Week 14 against the Patriots.
Making his first appearance since suffering a Week 12 concussion, Campbell looked pretty sharp as he peppered Jordan Cameron and Josh Gordon with targets. It shouldn't be too difficult with those two athletic freaks in your arsenal. Campbell appeared to have led the Browns to an upset victory over the Patriots, but New England scored two touchdowns in the final 1:04 to win 27-26. Campbell's three scores went to Gordon, Cameron, and Gary Barnidge on a broken play. Campbell will be a low-end QB2 next week against Chicago.

Sun Dec 8 201311:49Jason Campbell active, starting vs. Patriots
Jason Campbell (concussion) is active and will start Sunday's Week 14 games against the Patriots.
Campbell returns after missing last week's game against the Jaguars. Brandon Weeden (concussion) is inactive. Caleb Hanie will be the backup. Campbell isn't a recommended fantasy option on the road in his return. Also inactive for the Browns are QB Alex Tanney, TE MarQueis Gray, OT Martin Wallace, OG Garrett Gilkey, OT Reid Fragel, TE Keavon Milton, and WR Josh Cooper.

Fri Dec 6 201312:28Jason Campbell cleared to start Sunday vs. NE
Jason Campbell (concussion) has been cleared to start Sunday's Week 14 game against the Patriots.
Campbell practiced each of the past two days after being cleared for exercise earlier in the week. Campbell's reinsertion into the lineup is good news for Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron owners who were dreading a possible Caleb Hanie or Alex Tanney start. Campbell is Rotoworld's No. 26 QB this week.

Fri Dec 6 201311:23Jason Campbell practicing again on Friday
Jason Campbell (concussion) is practicing again on Friday.
Campbell is on track to make the start against the Patriots. Thankfully, the Browns won't have to trot out Caleb Hanie or Alex Tanney at quarterback. Campbell is a bottom-barrel fantasy option as our No. 26 quarterback.

Thu Dec 5 201313:30Jason Campbell takes first-team reps Thursday
Jason Campbell (concussion) took the first-team reps in Thursday's practice.
Campbell will be officially "limited," but is on track to gain full clearance in the next 48 hours. Campbell was backed up by Caleb Hanie on Thursday. Brandon Weeden has yet to resume practicing. Campbell's likely return is excellent news for Josh Gordon, but Campbell won't be a recommended option against in two-QB leagues against the Patriots' defense.

Wed Dec 4 201311:39Campbell, Weeden not cleared to practice yet
Jason Campbell (concussion) and Brandon Weeden (concussion) have still not been cleared to practice.
Campbell and Weeden have been cleared for exercise, but not practice. It leaves Alex Tanney and Caleb Hanie to take the first-team reps at Wednesday's session. Even owners desperate for a quarterback in the deepest of leagues can simply ignore the situation, but owners of Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron need to be monitoring. A tough spot (at New Engalnd) would become even tougher if Tanney or Hanie end up starting.

Mon Dec 2 201312:06Campbell cleared for activity, not practice
Jason Campbell (concussion) has been cleared for activity, but not practice.
According to coach Rob Chudzinski, the next 24-48 hours will be crucial in determining Campbell's status for Week 14. If he can get cleared for practice by Wednesday, he'll likely start against the Patriots. If he can't, the Browns will be in a bigger mess than they're already in. Brandon Weeden sustained a concussion against the Jags, leaving Alex Tanney as the only healthy quarterback on the roster. Josh Gordon owners desperately need Campbell or Weeden to suit up.
