If either player sits, the Buccaneers might need to sign a tight end before Sunday.

Myers is dealing with a calf injury suffered in Sunday's game against the Bears, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Myers apparently felt the calf tighten up on him while running a route in the afternoon contest, and required a walking boot for the next couple of days. Although he's said he's feeling better Tuesday (and is out of the boot), we'll wait until Wednesday's injury report surfaces to make a clearer assessment on his status.

Myers's already-meager value took a hit when teammate Austin Seferian-Jenkins returned to health. After failing to receive a single target in each of his last two games, Myers did return to the stat sheet Sunday, but in rather underwhelming fashion.

Myers had five receptions for 33 yards on five targets in Thursday's 56-14 loss to the Falcons.

Myers hasn't taken advantage of Austin Seferian-Jenkins' (ankle) absence, though he hasn't had much chance in a flailing offense. Myers had just one catch for five yards in the first half, and then added a few more short grabs once the outcome was decided. His long gain went for nine yards.

Myers had two catches on two targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Rams.

The 29-year-old tight end's outing followed a six-catch, 41-yard performance in Week 1. Despite the fact Austin Seferian-Jenkins was inactive, Myers was unable to capitalize on his absence with a great showing.

Myers got the lion's share of touches among Buccaneer tight ends. Austin Seferian-Jenkins had just one catch that went for 26 yards, and was targeted only twice. Seferian-Jenkins is viewed as the superior future player, but Myers was the one able to establish himself as McCown's go-to tight end Sunday. Myers caught 47 passes for 522 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games a year ago for the Giants and could be in store for another successful season.
